The NEW History of the CRUSADERS V!
A desperate alert was broadcast on all the local televison and radio stations in the GVRD asking for any super-heroes to heed the call and come to City Hall. The Mayor and Police Chief explained that there had been a CRISIS (again) at Crusaders Citadel and that the current team had been captured by a large group of super villains...only Manta-Man (II) was able to escape Badly injured, he was only able to relate a few details of the assault before falling into a deep coma...it was up to these intrepid heroes to stop the villains from recovering a powerful magical artifact called the OBSIDIAN CLOCK from within the Citadel...the whole world could be in danger if it falls into the wrong hands!
Sand Blast, Shadow Dragon, Transmutator, Doomslayer, and Spectre formulated a plan of attack to enter the well defended building and immediately confronted a half-dozen super-flunkies and a battle-royale ensued! The Crusaders, though somewhat worse for the wear, defeated the villains and proceeded deeper into the building's depths...they next encountered the powerful Mr. Hyde and two assasins: The Silver Samurai and Deadshot! The battle went very badly as the already wounded Crusaders fell unconscious one by one until Sand Blast was able to isolate Mr. Hyde behind a regenerating wall of sand and Transmutator turned Deadshot into a......carrot. Our heroes proceeded to beat the carrot senseless (?) and began to wake up their fallen comrades.
The Crusdares finally broke into the computer room where they discovered DIABLO was in the process of summoning the OBSIDIAN CLOCK from its otherworldly resting place.
Another battle ensued, and after a long fight the CRUSADERS emerged victorious! DOOMSLAYER summoned the aid of Dr.FATE who banished the CLOCK to its otherworldy pocket dimension and then destroyed the records within the CRUSADERS super-computer so it can never be summoned again (we hope).
The bodies of the captured former Crusaders were discovered, Mr. Hyde and Silver Samurai escaped into the night, but in th eend these NEW CRUSADERS proved victorious!
Philanthropist and financial backer of the CRUSADERS, Carter Manning, announced from his home in Australia that he was saddened by the loss of these valiant heroes, but we should all rally behind the NEW CRUSADERS to keep their memory alive..he pledged to repair the damage to the citadel, and fully support these NEW CRUSADERS in their constant fight to protect Canada from evil!
A NEW ERA has begun!
The Further Adventures:
The CRUSADERS gain two new members: CHROMIUM WARRIOR and SILVER-GHOST.
The team travels to a distant mediterranean kingdom and combat the evil Arachnos preventing her from using a huge Mind-Control device to take control of the entire region.
The CRUSADERS fight the terrorist organization COBRA as well as the mercenaries from CYBERDATA while stopping the evil F.O.R.C.E. from detonating a nuclear bomb on Vancouver!
