II. My first Raven question is an oldie, but goodie.
It's Last Lines, Part 1 (since there aren't enough eps to do any more!).
The ep name, who spoke
and what they said.
1. Tell me it gets easier after the first thousand years.
2. Hey! Let's do this again sometime.
3. Let's go home, cookie.
4. Expenses!
5. Shall we shake on it - Lieutenant?
6. To Charlie.
7. What is the story behind the tattoo on your butt?
8. Need to know, ______, need to know.
9. I'll drive.
10. Forgive yourself.
III. Name three guest stars from The Raven who guest starred on HL:TS. Name the episodes for each series and the characters' names for each series.
IV. In the episode ‘Passion Play’, name as many
instances as you can where reference is made to something we’ve seen
in HL:TS.
V. Raven routinely dips into the HL film vault, slipping
shots filmed for & used in the original series into various new eps.
Some are more readily recognized than others, but, to the extent I spot
them, I call these bits recycled clips.
a. Identify the recycled clips in the 10 Raven
eps aired so far, giving the HL:TS ep for each.
b. Which one of these recycled clips includes
footage of Duncan MacLeod?
c. [Totally nosy of me.] What do you think
of Raven using HL:TS footage? Does it work? Is it annoying, inconsequential
or an homage?
VI. Fill in the blank....."I'm tired of hearing about
what the old Amanda would do, ____________________." Which ep is this from,
and who is she saying this to?
VII. Hairstyles.....How many and in which episodes
did Amanda have a different hairstyle other than her current do? Also....there
has been much talk on the Raven Forum about the state of Nicks hair...it's
too long...why doesn't he cut it? Well....His hair is shorter....which
episode do you notice this in?
VIII. Name the two Raven directors and the two
Raven writers who never wrote or directed for HL:TS.
IX. Here are some good old random trivia questions about Raven:
1. What was Claudia’s husband’s name in ‘Reborn?”
2. In ‘Full Disclosure’, how old does Amanda say Lucy is?
3. Also in ‘Full Disclosure’, what did Johnny Tanner’s grandfather
do during the war?

in ‘Birthright’?
8. In ‘Bloodlines’ when Nick first comes to see Amanda, what does she
offer to peel for him?
9. In ‘Immunity’, what is Amanda’s cover and who does she claim to
be?
10. When Amanda and Nick are talking in ‘So Shall Ye Reap’, who does
Amanda say taught her about Covert Ops?
X. Of course, Amanda has several last names/aliases,
but she's called all sorts of things in Raven; she seems to excite the
passions! Here are a few "terms
of endearment" that I've noticed; tell me who called her that &
in what ep.
1. Nick's "girlfriend"
2. "Cookie"
3. stupid tramp"
4."Princess of Thieves"
5. "schmuck"
6. "a murderer" (not by a cop)
7. "a human boomerang"
8. "bleached blond"
9. "a spy & a thief"
10. "Ducky"
11. "way too old for me"
12. "a blond criminal"
13. "the legend"
14. "you crazy bitch"
15. "irresponsible, inconsiderate, dishonest"
16. "heartless, selfish bitch"
17. "hell of a woman"
XI. I'm going after language this time...the writers
seem to be very fond of 'son of a bitch'. and a few other choice words.
Name the episodes and how
many times you here son of a bitch(and variations thereof), pissed,
etc. Most of these would most certainly be bleeped over on USA... ;) creating
alot of silence... ;)
XII. *A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do!*
Amanda said this in one HL:TS episode and one Raven episode. Name the two
episodes.
XIII. Name the episode, who said the line and to whom.
1. “Call her that to her face and she’ll rip your lungs out.”
2. “The next thing I know, I’m running through the woods with Beavis
and Butthead firing at my ass.”
3. “And to think that I used to admire you.”
4. “The truth doesn’t belong to you and me anymore, the truth belongs
to the winner. It always has.”
5. “What’s so good about the truth? For some of us that’s all we got.”
6. “Living to die, over and over again.”
7. “It’s time, you twisted bastard.”
8. “Please….I can do this in my sleep!”
9. "History is five guys in a room agreeing on a lie."
10. “Is she really worth pissing it all away for?”
XIV. Some oddities this time:
a. Which episode included the words "moonlighting" & "ghost" in
dialogue? And why would it be noticed?
b. The number "4894"--where do we see it in the episodes, & why
is it a problem?
c. Which ep included this line?--"Where are the garbage cans?"
d. What does this mean?--"Residences at the Edward"?
e. What does this list of places have in common? Costa Rica, Majorca,
Zurich, Cabo San Lucas, New York City, Cleveland, Bermuda, Bahamas, Las
Vegas, Mexico, Rio de Janeiro, St. Tropez, Denver, Paris
f. Whose address is "66"?
g. Which ep featured an apparently immortal American flag?
XV. Duncan MacLeod was called a boy scout on
several occasions... Who said Nick was a boy scout and in which episode?
XVI. Now, this week's question. Guns play a large
part in "Raven", since Nick's an ex-cop. How many times have we seen someone
holding a gun
gangsta style (horizontally, instead of the normal vertical way)?
XVII. Name each episode the following character appears:
1. Lucy
2. Bert Myers
3. Basil
4. Captain Magnus
XVIII. 1. Name the episodes that don’t have
flashbacks.
2. Of the remaining episodes, give the date and place of the first
flashback shown.
Note: Since I don’t recall any mention of the city Amanda and Nick
live in, for purposes of this TAG Q, I will assume it is Toronto. If you
know different, please enlighten me. *g*
XIX. Raven really seems to want to be "current" or hip or something. Anyway, I've noticed lots of references to "real" people, some living & some historical. Name the ep &/or the character who mentioned these folks:
a. Bonnie & Clyde (2 different eps)
b. Cindy Crawford
c. Tupak Shakur (I'm guessing on the spelling)
d. Ed Sullivan
e. Florence Nightingale
f. Cleopatra
g. Elvis
h. Eisenhower
i. Oscar Wilde
j. Jay Leno
k. Mata Hari
l. Dick Clark
m. Anais Nin
n. Beavis & Butthead
n. Churchill
o. the Kennedy assassination
XX. I don't ever recall Amanda wearing scarves in
HL:TS...with the exception of 'Methuselah's Gift' where you get a look
at how Amanda appears now.
Which episodes in HL:R do you see Amanda wearing a scarf?
XXI. Okay ... fist fights. How many times have we
seen Nick engaging in pugelism with a baddie?
I. These revolve around the first episode 'Reborn.'
1. Name the quotes where you hear the word *Legend* and who said it.
-"Let's go meet the legend" Nick to Claudia
-"Legends of the something...you know. The
Brad Pitt thing." Amanda to Nick and Claudia
-"There's an Eskimo legend about one particular
raven" same conversation
-"The legend says there was an evil chief
who planned to steal them for himself." Both Nick to Amanda
2.Where do you see a sword drawn for the first time...and on whom?
-In Basil's shop....Basil drawing on Amanda
3. How many times do you see Amanda wearing gloves?
-During the jewel heist at the beginning of
the episode.
-When she's about to be arrested by Nick and
Claudia and escapes off the rooftop.
-While in Nicks apt, looking through his things.
Outside the police station, in her car talking on the phone to Lucy and
then when she saves Nick from
being shot by Ferris.
-I was going for wearing gloves....but this
counts too she carries them in her hands as she leaves the police station
after being questioned & also as she goes home & argues w/ Lucy.
-And when she is stealing the jewels out of Ferris'
trunk, running away and then pushes open the warehouse door. MacWestie
pointed out that Amanda is
not wearing gloves in the next shot or there after.
II. It's Last Lines, Part 1 (since there aren't enough
eps to do any more!).
1. Tell me it gets easier after the first thousand years. - Crime &
Punishment, Nick to Amanda
2. Hey! Let's do this again sometime. - Immunity, Amanda to Nick
3. Let's go home, cookie. - Passion Play, Amanda to Lucy
4. Expenses! - Full Disclosure, Amanda to Nick
5. Shall we shake on it - Lieutenant? - Reborn, Carl Magnus to Nick
6. To Charlie. - So Shall We Reap, Nick to Amanda
7. What is the story behind the tattoo on your butt? - Birthright,
Amanda to Nick
8. Need to know, ______, need to know. - Cloak & Dagger, Amanda
to Bert Meyers
9. I'll drive. - Bloodlines, Amanda to Nick
10. Forgive yourself. - The Unknown Soldier, Nick to Amanda
III. Name three guest stars from The Raven who guest
starred on HL:TS. Name the episodes for each series and the characters'
names for each series.
1. Carolyn Dunn - Denise Grady in Bloodlines - played Nora Fontaine
in the FB from Bless The Child.
2. Philip Akin - Simon Clark in Birthright- played Charlie DeSalvo,
starting in Turnabout and last episode was Brothers in Arms.
3. Andrew Jackson - Darryl Keenan in Crime and Punishment - played
Pallin Wolf in The Darkness.
IV. In the episode ‘Passion Play’, name as many instances
as you can where reference is made to something we’ve seen in HL:TS.
1. Methuselah’s Revenge on the Marquee is a reference to ‘Methuselah’s
Gift’ and ‘Revenge is Sweet’/ ‘Revenge of the Sword’ (take your pick).
2. Timeless on the Marquee – Reference is obvious....HL episode of
same name.
3. Wilson Geary’s line to Lucy “Everyone’s a critic” – same line Nicholas
Ward said to Duncan in ‘The Vampire’.
4. Geary’s Cleopatra jokes in the monologue bring thoughts of Pharaoh's
Daughter (and his mention of the Queen of Denial brings thoughts of our
own Forumlanders. :-) )
5. The Oscar Wilde reference between Geary and Lucy (“the coward does
it with a kiss, the brave man with a sword.”) was reminiscent of him being
quoted by Baptista & DM in Justice (“Losing one parent is a tragedy,
losing them both is carelessness.”)
6. Nick's comment to Lucy about killing someone and seeing the light
go out of their eyes was similar to the wording EDM used with Dominique
in Deliverance.
7. Geary's line to Marco, "Mortals are so fragile." was reminiscent
of Amanda's to Duncan (about Joe) at the end of ‘The Colonel’. (Both Kalas
and Thorne made similar references to mortal fragility, too)
8. Two recycled cemetery clips from ‘Counterfeit 2’ used for Lucy’s
FB of Marco’s funeral.
9. The Rashoman-style FB sequence, presenting Lucy and Geary’s two
versions (with the truth somewhere in the middle), was also the FB style
used in ‘Through a Glass Darkly’.
10. As the fog scenes may have clued you, this episode was directed
by Dennis Berry – as were countless HL episodes (I have a list, if you
want them…e-mail me).
11. Script was written by Morrie Ruvinsky – who also wrote the scripts
for ‘The Fighter’, ‘The Cross of St, Antoine’, ‘Blackmail’, ‘Brothers in
Arms’, ‘The Blitz’, ‘The End of Innocence’, ‘Black Tower’, and ‘Unusual
Suspects’.
--Intro--full moon w/ scudding clouds (used twice, including at very
start, w/ PJ's face added), raven flying up & landing on branch, raven
flying-all from HL:TS Homeland; Amanda as harem dancer from HL:TS Finale
2.
--Reborn----Raven flying in & landing on branch, full moon w/ scudding
clouds, raven flying--all taken from HL:TS Homeland & also used in
the Intro.
--Full Disclosure-- Fighting silhouettes of Connor & Slan from
HL:TS The Gathering, used at the start of Amanda & Cardoza fighting
in the garage.
--Bloodlines-- Day-time hospital exterior from HL:TS Song of the Executioner.
Night-time hospital exterior from HL:TS Little Tin God (as Larca's waiting
for Derek to revive). The skyscraper drop was from HL:TS An Eye for an
Eye/Annie Devlin, & the landing was from HL:TS Free Fall/Felicia Martins;
they changed the car from red to black & made the head look balding,
but the white building's still in the foreground.
--Immunity--none that I've noticed.
--So Shall Ye Reap-- Seacouver university campus from HL:TS Leader
of the Pack used for Holman University in the teaser. Also, Willie Kingsley
shooting diplomat from HL:TS Diplomatic Immunity used for the embassy sniper
shooting Amanda in the FB.
--Birthright-- Motel sign (Centre City Motor Hotel--shown twice) &
the motel balcony--HL:TS Under Color of Authority.
--Crime & Punishment-- DA's Tudor home exterior in the teaser is
from HL:TS The Darkness (very start).
--The Unknown Soldier-- Several quick war shots from HL:TS For Tomorrow
We Die, as well as HL:TS The Colonel, before & after Fielding is given
the pouch.
--Cloak & Dagger--none that I've noticed.
--Passion Play--Two fast, disjointed shots of Marco's funeral--both
from HL:TS Counterfeit 2 at the very start--the casket is Pete's &
the foggy cemetery is when DM thinks he sees Tessa.
b. Which one of these recycled clips includes footage of Duncan MacLeod?
He's in The Unknown Soldier. Amanda's WWI FB is
a hash of fast shots from both For Tomorrow We Die & The Colonel, w/
the recycled clips book-ending the fresh footage featuring Amanda
& Fielding. At the beginning of the FB segment, when Amanda 1st sees
Fielding in the cemetery, there are a few flashes to her face in current
action spaced in w/ her flashes to the war. Immediately before the last
cut-away to Amanda's face in the cemetery, 2 men
in *blue* uniforms run across the screen amid explosions; that part
is from For Tomorrow We Die, & it's DM (in helmet, w/ moustache &
Red Cross armband) & his doomed buddy Stan.
c. [Totally nosy of me.] What do you think of Raven using HL:TS footage?
Does it work? Is it annoying, inconsequential or an homage? Well, we have
a
diverse membership, w/ a nice variety of opinion!
VI. Fill in the blank....."I'm tired of hearing about
what the old Amanda would do, ____________________." Which ep is this from,
and who is she saying this to? --"I am the real Amanda!", to Lucy
VII. How many different styles did she have?
7 including the scene in the opening credits which was from the Highlander:TS
episode 'Finale, pt.2' Turkey, 1753 with long, curly dark hair.
'Full Disclosure'-- 1952 Warsaw with short, curly, light blond hair.
'Bloodlines'--1897 New York City with long, dark hair swept up in period
style
'So Shall Ye Reap'-- 1968 Prague long, reddish brown hair(it looked
like it was pulled back on the top- or an awful lot of hairspray was used
*g*)
'Birthright'-- 1720 Bahamas long, curly, dark auburn hair
'The Unknown Soldier'--1917 France long, curly, dark hair
'Passion Play'--1963 locale unknown? long, straight, blond hair
Personally I've never seen Amanda's hair color change so much...there
is a three years between the FBs for 'Birthright' and 'The Unknown Soldier'..They
couldn't stay with the same haircolor? Same with 'So Shall Ye Reap'
and 'Passion Play' Five years between FBs.... doesn't make sense.....someone
isn't keeping track of the timeline with the hair color.
I noticed that Nicks hair was a little shorter in 'Immunity'...however...his
hair is at it's shortest in 'The Unknown Soldier'
VIII. Name the two Raven directors and the two Raven
writers who never wrote or directed for HL:TS.
The writers:
1. Frank Encarnacao for Birthright and Cloak and Dagger
2. Tibby Rothman for Crime and Punishment.
The directors:
1. Ian Toynton for Reborn
2. Rene Bonniere for So Shall Ye Reap and Cloak and Dagger.
IX. Here are some good old random trivia questions
about Raven:
1. What was Claudia's husband's name in 'Reborn?' David.
2. In 'Full Disclosure', how old does Amanda say Lucy is? 52. Amanda
says they celebrated Lucy’s 50th a couple of years ago in Majorca.
3. Also in 'Full Disclosure', what did Johnny Tanner's grandfather
do during the war? Intelligence – Navajo code talker.
4. What game has the DA just finished playing in 'Crime and Punishment'
when Ray Bonita breaks into his house and kills him? Pool (or billiards)
5. What was in the pouch that Amanda stole from John Ray Fielding in
'The Unknown Soldier'? - Gold, jewels and retreat orders for his unit.
6. Also in 'The Unknown Soldier", Amanda is at the cemetery visiting
Claudia's grave. Whose grave was Fielding visiting? - First, his own,
then one of his fallen comrades…William Dexter Smith.
7. Where do Nick and Amanda end up then the police bust in on them
in 'Birthright'? – In a bathtub full of bubbles.
8. In 'Bloodlines' when Nick first comes to see Amanda, what does she
offer to peel for him? - A grape.
9. In 'Immunity', what is Amanda's cover and who does she claim to
be? - Nick's wife, Dr. LaSalle; researching immunology and tropical
diseases of the rain forests.
10. When Amanda and Nick are talking in 'So Shall Ye Reap', who does
Amanda say taught her about Covert Ops? - Mata Hari.
X. Of course, Amanda has several last names/aliases,
but she's called all sorts of things in Raven; she seems to excite the
passions! Here are a few "terms
of endearment" that I've noticed; tell me who called her that &
in what ep.
1. Nick's "girlfriend"--Carl Magnus (twice)/The Unknown Soldier
2. "Cookie"--Lucy/Full Disclosure
3. "stupid tramp"--Darryl Keenan/Crime & Punishment
4. "Princess of Thieves"--Basil/Reborn
5. "schmuck"--Bert/Cloak & Dagger (& Amanda tossed it back
at him later)
6. "a murderer" (not by a cop)--Fielding/The Unknown Soldier
7. "a human boomerang"--Cop Robbins/The Unknown Soldier
8. "bleached blond"--Catherine/Cloak & Dagger
9. "a spy & a thief"--Cardoza/Full Disclosure
10. "Ducky"--Basil/Birthright
11."way too old for me"--Nick/Cloak & Dagger
12. "a blond criminal"--Bert/Immunity
13. "the legend"--Nick/Reborn
14. "you crazy bitch"--Nick/Full Disclosure
15. "irresponsible, inconsiderate, dishonest"--Amanda (to Fielding
about herself)/The Unknown Soldier
16. "heartless, selfish bitch"--Nick/The Unknown Soldier
17. "hell of a woman"--Bert/Cloak & Dagger
XI. I'm going after language this time...the writers
seem to be very fond of 'son of a bitch'. and a few other choice words.
Name the episodes and how
many times you here son of a bitch(and variations thereof), pissed,
etc. Most of these would most certainly be bleeped over on USA... ;) creating
alot of silence... ;)
1. Reborn----
Lucy--"Like my uncle Arnie used to say--'Sleep
w/ the devil, wake up w/ burns on your ass.'" (to Amanda re: Nick)
2. Full Disclosure----
Nick--"You crazy bitch! What did you do?!"
(to "dead" Amanda)
Nick--"Immortal, my ass." (to Amanda)
3. Immunity----
Amanda--"Diplomatic immunity, my ass." (to
Marta)
Amanda--"It's time, you twisted bastard."
(to Collier)
4. Birthright----
Harmon Frost--"Wherever you go, whatever you
do, I'm going to be all over your ass." (to Nick)
Nick--"Look, I know this might not kill you,
but from what I understand it sure stings like a bitch." (to Simon Clark)
5. The Unknown Soldier----
Nick--"You know, you can really be a heartless,
selfish bitch sometimes." (to Amanda)
Nick--"Who the hell are you, Slick?" (to Fielding)
Amanda--"What the hell is happening to me?"
(to Nick)
Magnus--"Screw all of ya." (to Nick, Amanda,
and Lucy)
6. Cloak & Dagger----
Amanda--"You would have his ass stapled to
the jail cell by now." (to Nick)
XII. *A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do!* Amanda said this in one HL:TS episode and one Raven episode. Name the two episodes.
1. The Lady and the Tiger - Amanda nudges Duncan into the circus tent
and her buddies start to fight him. He, of course, fends them off, brushes
his
hands and says "A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do!" Amanda smirks,
more buddies throw a net on Duncan and Amanda says "A girl's gotta do what
a
girl's gotta do."
2. Full Disclosure: Amanda is with Nick. He wants to go after Mario
and Amanda is stalling for time. She sees a nun, asks her where the ladies'
room is. Nick is shocked - "NOW!" She replies: "A girl's gotta do what
a girl's gotta do."
XIII. Name the episode, who said the line and to whom.
1. “Call her that to her face and she’ll rip your lungs out.” Claudia
to Nick (about Lucy) in ‘Reborn’
2. “The next thing I know, I’m running through the woods with Beavis
and Butthead firing at my ass.” – Johnny Tanner to Nick in ‘Full Disclosure’
3. “And to think that I used to admire you.” – Lucy to Amanda in ‘Bloodlines’
4. “The truth doesn’t belong to you and me anymore, the truth belongs
to the winner. It always has.” – Charlie Johnson to Amanda in ‘So Shall
Ye Reap’
5. “What’s so good about the truth? For some of us that’s all we got.”
– Nick to Amanda in ‘Crime and Punishment’
6. “Living to die, over and over again.” – John Ray Fielding to Amanda
in ‘The Unknown Soldier’
7. “It’s time, you twisted bastard.” – Amanda to Stephan Collier in
‘Immunity’
8. “Please….I can do this in my sleep!” – Amanda to Lucy in ‘Cloak
and Dagger’
9. “History is five guys in a room agreeing on a lie.” – Nick to Wilson
Geary in ‘Passion Play’
10. “Is she really worth pissing it all away for?” – Capt. Carl Magnus
to Nick in ‘Birthright’
a. Which episode included the words "moonlighting" & "ghost" in dialogue? And why would it be noticed? ----Well, I *thought* I was talking about Full Disclosure, w/ Nick calling Amanda a ghost when he was drunk in the bar in the teaser & then Mario's assassin saying "Moonlighting?" when they were arranging the hit in the darkened restaurant. And it struck me as odd because the movie *Ghost* & the TV show "Moonlighting" were what TPTB said Raven would be like in several early press releases/interviews. *However* EmmyZ gently corrected me on a basic point--the assassin actually said "Mood lighting?" to Mario, because the restaurant was candle-lit. She's clearly right, & I hereby flush that question down the drain--sorry!
b. The number "4894"--where do we see it in the episodes, & why
is it a problem?----Lots of the eps (Reborn, Birthright, Crime & Punishment,
The Unknown Soldier & Passion Play) use the same establishing shot
of the police station exterior, often more than once per ep; it shows the
building doors &
part of a police car parked outside. Unfortunately, the clip isn't
as anonymous as it should be for an establishing shot that's used a lot,
because the number on the cop car is clearly visible--4894.
c. Which ep included this line?--"Where are the garbage cans?"----In
Cloak & Dagger, when Bert's crossing the street & buying a paper,
this line is heard
from an unseen passerby/resident, & for some reason it cracks me
up. (I just have a feeling there's a story behind it--like the disgruntled
Parisian lady Dennis Berry feuded w/ while filming Pharaoh's Daughter.)
d. What does this mean?--"Residences at the Edward"?----This is on the brass plaques by the outside doors of Amanda's building, seen in several eps.
e. What does this list of places have in common? Costa Rica, Majorca,
Zurich, Cabo San Lucas, New York City, Cleveland, Bermuda, Bahamas, Las
Vegas, Mexico, Rio de Janeiro, St. Tropez, Denver, Paris----These places
have all been mentioned in dialogue or captioned as FB locales, so that
we
know they are *not* where the current Raven locale is supposed to be.
(There are several other clues, but that's another question.)
f. Whose address is "66"?----That's Nick's street number, as 1st seen on the plaque outside his door in Reborn.
g. Which ep featured an apparently immortal American flag?----In Full Disclosure, there's an large American flag flying over Johnny's trailer. It is shown still merrily waving, pristine & unscathed, after the explosion that destroys the trailer; the best explanation I've heard is that there are laws against defacing a flag, even for continuity purposes.
XV. Bert Myers told Amanda Nick was a boy scout in
'Cloak and Dagger'
XVI. Now, this week's question. Guns play a large
part in "Raven", since Nick's an ex-cop. How many times have we seen someone
holding a gun
gangsta style (horizontally, instead of the normal vertical way)?
Well, the two instances I'm thinking of...and I haven't looked them
up to verify, so I could be wrong...are:
1. "Bloodlines", Nick draws on Morgan in Amanda's place, gangsta style.
2. "Full Disclosure", as far as I know, Johnny (at least briefly) held
his gun sideways in the gym.
XVII. Name each episode the following character appears:
1. Lucy - Reborn, Full Disclosure, Bloodlines, Immunity, Crime and Punishment.
The Unknown Soldier, Cloak and Dagger, Passion Play.
2. Bert Myers - Bloodlines, Immunity, Cloak and Dagger.
3. Basil - Reborn, Birthright. Basil was also mentioned in Cloak and
Dagger as having fenced the artwork Amanda *liberated* and he was on the
phone with Amanda in Passion Play, although was never seen in either of
these.
4. Capt. Magnus - Reborn, Full Disclosure, Birthright, Crime and Punishment,
Unknown Solider.
XVIII. 1. Name the episodes that don’t have flashbacks.
-----There are no flashbacks in 'Reborn' and 'Immunity'.
2. Of the remaining episodes, give the date and place of the first
flashback shown.
'Full Disclosure' – Warsaw, 1952
'Bloodlines' – New York, 1897
'So Shall Ye Reap' – Prague, August 20, 1968
'Birthright' – The Bahamas, 1720
'Crime & Punishment' – N/A City, 1992
'The Unknown Soldier' – Technically, Amanda
has a mini fb of a few weeks from the present to when Claudia died; but
the answer I want here is France, 1917.
'Cloak & Dagger' – East Berlin, 1988
'Passion Play' – It only says ‘theatre district’,
so I’ll go with either N/A City or ‘possibly’ New York, 1963
XIX. Raven really seems to want to be "current" or hip or something. Anyway, I've noticed lots of references to "real" people, some living & some historical. Name the ep &/or the character who mentioned these folks:
a. Bonnie & Clyde (2 different eps)--Immunity & So Shall Ye
Reap
b. Cindy Crawford--Crime & Punishment
c. Tupak Shakur (I'm guessing on the spelling)--So Shall Ye Reap
d. Ed Sullivan--Passion Play
e. Florence Nightingale--So Shall Ye Reap
f. Cleopatra--Immunity & Passion Play
g. Elvis--The Unknown Soldier
h. Eisenhower--Crime & Punishment
i. Oscar Wilde--Passion Play
j. Jay Leno--Passion Play
k. Mata Hari--So Shall Ye Reap
l. Dick Clark--Full Disclosure
m. Anais Nin--The Unknown Soldier
n. Beavis & Butthead--Full Disclosure
n. Churchill--Crime & Punishment
o. the Kennedy assassination--So Shall Ye Reap
XX. I don't ever recall Amanda wearing scarves in
HL:TS...with the exception of 'Methuselah's Gift' where you get a look
at how Amanda appears now.
Which episodes in HL:R do you see Amanda wearing a scarf?
1. 'Full Disclosure'--When Amanda found Nick in the bar and then in
the alley.
2. 'Bloodlines'--At the Morgan & Son shop...Amanda was wearing
a white scarf in the shop and then later when she meets Morgan outside
her apt. building.
3. 'Immunity'--Is wearing one when she meets Stephan Collier for the
first time.
4. 'So Shall Ye Reap'--Amanda is wearing a grayish patterned scarf
when she goes to see Nick about Charlie, and when they go to visit Charlie.
5. 'Birthright'--Cream colored scarf when she is being questioned at
the police station, and later when she is walking along the street with
Nick and look at the newspaper, then at the motel and back at her apt.
6. 'Crime and Punishment'--Amanda puts on a scarf that matches her
dress when Nick stands her up for lunch and leaves the apt. and meets Nick
outside.
7. 'The Devil You Know'-- Black scarf in the scene where she ends up

XXI. Okay ... fist fights. How many times have we seen Nick engaging in pugelism with a baddie?
1. "Full Disclosure", Nick beats up on Mario's men in the alley, Amanda
comes to the rescue.
2. "So Ye Shall Reap", fight by the hearse.
3. "Birthright", beats up pimp to find out about Deldeagon, knees Frost
in the nards.
4. "Unknown Soldier", takes a few shots at Fielding.
5. "Cloak and Dagger" (thanx MacWestie), Nick knocks Bert Myers around
a bit...he kinda qualifies as a baddie in this one.
