April's Sacred Site:

Poulnabrone Dolmen, "The Burren", Ireland

One of Ireland's most-recognizeable megalithic remains, this monument stands in the midst of a limestone clearing in "The Burren", where an aide to Cromwell declared there was neither "...water to drown a man or tree to hang him." Not impressive in size, the Poulnabrone dolmen is most noticeable in its isolation in a field of grey rock.
