She was the daughter of Erin MacAlpine of the clan MacAlpine. At the very early times of Scottish history the King of Dalriada was King Alpin. His son Kenneth became the first King of the Picts and Scots and in this sense could be considered the first King of Scotland. Erin and her sister Freya were born to the descendant of Kenneth. A cousin Ferguson MacAlpine has long argued the rightful heir to the kingship. The clan motto passed down through the ages is " Cuinich bas Alpan" (remember the alpine)

Her father was McLeod a Viking raider. He was a direct descendant of Leod, a younger son of Olaf the Black, one of the last Norse kings of Man. Leod married a daughter of the Norse steward of Skye.

She was raised by the MacAlpine Clan in Oban, til her early teens. She became an excellent huntress once taking a deer at one hundred twenty meters with a special short bow. She helped defend Oban aganst raiders before the urge to become an adventurer became to strong to resist.

She trained with Tusk Pere Solig a cousin from her mothers side and went to the Byzatine Empire as a mercenary for Basil II. She was given much gold for her service. When returning from the Byzatine Empire she commissioned a knorr to be built.

Taking her knorr and small crew she began to learn the waterways that would bring her much wealth. Spending many a night studying the maps she has drawn herself and bought from scrbes and acquired from her cousin Nicor Solig.

She begins to keep detailed accounts of the weather, the stars and the currents she sails. She raids along the Orkneys and the Irish coast.

Having spent many years on the seas and living with her clan she decides to go in search of a place to call home. She had heard many tales of the Fjords and upon meeting her Cousin Doom she decides to venture to the Nordic Region where he is king.

Sailing into the Fjord she sees the beauty of this place so far from the Highlands. She spends time with her cousin and begins to settle in Vinter Solig. Her knorr is added to his fleet and she assits him with guarding the Fjord against the Rus invaders or any who would chose to sail up the Fjord and lay claim to this kingdom.

Doom leaves Vinter Solig for a sea voyage to raid York and London, he winters in the the Scottish highlands. While there he mets and marries his wife Sera. Upon thier return he ask Toreena to become the Queens Guard and Guardian to thier children.

In time the kingdom is filled with those from other places. She becomes one of the commanders of the King's fleet. The love of her life Devon is killed the year before in a battle with the Rus. Lost without Devon she prefers to be at sea rather than on land.
