The first place anyone looks for when arrives in a new town, when travels across the Old World or when drinking a pint or two of ale
seems the best way to spend an evening is the inn.
The fat, fast-talking innkeeper is usually a man trying to earn some money by creating a "home" atmosphere. In coaching inns placed somewhere on the road the innkeeper is also a good fighter, defending himself and his possessions from bandits and Chaos beastmen. In
small villages the inn is the centre of the local life and the innkeeper is often choose as town-mayor, while in big cities usually he have
contacts with thieves and other criminals (especially racketeers!).
Often this career is choosen by retired adventurers (usually sea captains) wanting a peaceful life (with an occasional brawl).
