History

.....In a remote section of Ethiopia, American engineer Bill Dunn aided British troops, while searching for a tribe of savage fighters known as the M'Bujies. Groups of other troops had been sent out previously, with no one returning. Like the others, Dunn's troops were also attacked and wiped out, but Dunn survived, saved by another survivor of a previous mission, Australian "Boomerang" Jones.

.....Nursing Dunn back to health, Jones showed him the remains of other vehicles, in the hopes that they could cobble together a working vehicle and escape. The two did better than that, using spare parts built a combination tank/airplane/submarine they dubbed "The Blue Tracer". Learning that the M'Bujies were planning to attack nearby settlements, the two in the Blue Tracer destroyed the invading forces, driving the tribesmen back into the deep jungle never to be seen again.

.....No record of any adventures of The Blue Tracer have been recorded after 1942.

Powers and Abilities

.....The Blue Tracer actually refers to the machine driven by Dunn and Jones, a combination tank/airplane/submarine pieced together from the parts of various machines found on the island. It is not known whether it shares similar engineering principles as other multiple use vehicles operated by Spy-Smasher, The Star-Spangled Kid and Stripesy, The Red Torpedo and others.
