Blade and Frost go at it

Blade Adapted from the marvel comic of the same name, Wesley Snipes stars as Blade, a half-man, half-vampire who seeks to avenge his mother's death by wiping out the entire vampire race.

Not a chick that loves vampire flicks in fact they usually don't do much for me at all but Blade is different. It is definitely one of the best of its genre. Blade has a little something for everyone. It has well-choreographed martial arts fight scenes, it has a good mix of dark humour, but not too much and its not a bad horror flick. Wesley Snipes does an excellent job as Blade. He's a very dark and very slick vampire slayer and he pulls off the brilliantly choreographed martial arts scenes with ease. The rest of the cast does a pretty descent job too. Stephen Dorff plays Deacon Frost The plot isn't bad when you consider that many movies based on comic books just never get off the ground. The soundtrack, which is largely made up of techno tracks, suits the movie fantastically and enhances the fight scenes and the overall feel of the movie brilliantly. The special effects are pretty good too. There are many interesting characters and vampire death scenes that are quite impressive. If you enjoy a bit of action and a movie that doesn't require a lot of thought, Blade is a great flick and very entertaining.
