The Plains
Your next encounter with the Wynds of Sirah's realm begins in a manner a great deal less nerve wracking then the previous two. As you walk you come upon a black wind with rainbow wings napping in the deeper grass at the edge of the path.
Unfortunately, when you approach, the Wynd hears you and snaps away, throwing a fit as it realizes how close you are. It's panicked scream brings another two Wynds running, and suddenly you are surrounded by worried equines. As far as you can tell there's only three of them, but with them dashing all around you it still feels like a crowd.
All you can do is cower and hope none of them knocks you over. Eventually the equines realize that you're not attacking, and pause.
" What was all that about?" Inquires a pink equine with three yellow socks and one of green. It's deep purple wings flutter while it tries to calm down.
The black Wynd answers sheepishly, " Sorry for startling you, Wanderer. You gave me quiet a scare sneaking up on me while I slept. The last time I woke up like that it was after I'd been sleeping on the edge of the woods... Stupid of me, I admit. I woke up with a rogue Qualiron from the Deep Forst breathing down my neck and I've been twitchy ever since."
"Yes, poor Prism of Dark, " says the lavender mare with blue socks and a sea green mane with a sympathetic look at the dark stallion. " He just hasn't been the same since that scare." She shakes her head. "Then again, we've all been a bit twitchy. Prism's nerves are wearing on us too."
Aparently that's all the apology you're going to get for being stampeded.
"Anyway, " the lavender mare continues conversationally, " I'm Pool of Shade, and this is Power of Earth." She flips her nose towards the bright pink equine to indicate who she's introducing. "Prism's name you probably already caught."
You nod in agreement.
"On the plus side, " Power chips in, " I didn't tie you to the ground with vines. That happened last time and it took ages for the wanderer to calm down after that." She sighs dramatically on remembering.
On seeing your worried look, Pool glares at the other mare, "Maybe you shouldn't have said that?" She jerks her head in your direction to point out your expression.
Power blushes, " Not that there was anything to worry about wanderer, really! It's not like I summoned poison ivy or anything."
"Power, I don't think you're helping, " Pool replies.
