The Origins of Language and Free Speech

he original language of the five races was the sounds of gutteral growls, purrs and clicks that they all had once used to communicate. But as the races began to stand errect, they found their vocal abilities grow and were able to speak the

dead language of Man. Some of the racial groups took up names from the old language and used a combination of Man's tounge and their own animal tounge.

As the races began to become nomadic and stretch out to new lands, they encountered one another. Finding that they did ot speak the same language made understanding one another difficult. It wasn't till the uprising of the Cats, did a universal language become important.

Free Speech originated between the Dogs and the Birds in a desperate effort to combine forces and create strategies to push back the Cats. This Free Speech spread to the Rodents who quickly learned it and found very useful in trading and bartering. Once the Cats learned that a new language had risen, they were quick to acquire it, to make sure that no race would plot against them and try to remove them from the Pride Lands, having been pushed out of the north.

The original speech of each race is still taught in schools and still used in rural areas and within the racial groups, but when dealing with one of another race, society politeness dictates that the Free Speech be used.
