The only clothing that the five races considered to be worth holding onto were boots or shoes, coats, and sometimes shirts, and pants, but this solely depended on the on the regional climate the races existed in.
Due to the lack of need for clothing, the style stayed mostly within the same fashional image of the last years of Man, though many modifications have been made since then, creating quite a unique style that also fits into functional accessories.
Clothing has stayed more of a utility than a feature of modesty, and only those who are moderately wealthy to well-off have more than one servicable outfit. And clothing is rarely seen outside of the major cities, except where the work assigned to the need for trappings exists. And creatures of The New Lands didn't start wearing clothing till the Great Migration began.
Jewlery is often a part of any creature's wardrobe. The Cats and Rodents seem to be the most possessive of their jewlery, rarely being seen in the public eye without one sparkling jem on their body. The Dogs and Reptiles are next in their display of fine jems, though in the Dogs' society, such ornamentation often denotes rank in the pack. The Birds tend to stay away from the heavy ornate accessories, for the weight of them tend to slow down their flights.
Most of the small towns and cities that Man had created have long since fallen into ruins, allowed to fall back into the wilderness they once came from. However, a few of the larger cities that Man resided in still remain a place of high influance and power. These cities include: London, Dublin, Cairo, Moscow, Bejing, Tokyo, Israel, Jeruselem, Egypt, along with several large settlements in Austrailia, India, and the New Lands. {Creator's Note: She is aware that some of these places may not have existed in the Middle Ages, however, brain power was lacking at the time she wrote this and she was unable to create names that would have fit and wanted a point of reference.}
Though the cities may have changed since Man's habitation, they still remain thriving metropolitan areas, full of life.
Money still remains a controlling factor from Man's days. As with man, there are those who are poor and those who are considerably rich. It is this need for monitary wealth that has kept the large cities alive and the poor people in serfdom. Slaves are not allowed in any of the free countries, but one may work for another for food, shelter and protection.
Politics are also a driving force for the five races of the world. They have all learned quickly that those with the power move the world closer to their goals. With powerful leaders, Mafia lords, and drug leaders, there is little room for the minor contender, as the stakes are high. Only those with money and the connections to bring them to the top dare play these dangerous games. |
