How to Make Your Own Bong

    Note:  There are many different ways to make a bong, this is just a few of them.  They are designs i have collected on the net, and ones sent in by the members...if you have any new ideas, email them to keithdag@aol.com

Basic "Bottle Bong" 

  

Supplies:

  1. A 20oz Pop Bottle(this is the chamber)
  2. A marker(this is the shaft)
  3. A socket wrench head(this is the bowl)
  4. A sharp knife or razor blade(this is for the cutting you need to do)
  5. Silicon or glue(this is for sealing up the cracks and making the bong as air tight as possible)
  6. Clay or something to be used as a stand(this is purely optional and only if the bong won't stand on it's own)
  7. A screen or tin foil(this is for the screen)

Procedure:

  1. First off you want to strip the label off of the 20oz Pop Bottle.  Next wash out the 20oz Pop Bottle to make sure it's clean.  After that, you can get rid of the cap, because it is not needed.
  2. Next, open the marker and get rid of the inside, cap, and cut the front and back off with the kinfe.
  3. Third, put the socket wrench head on one side of the marker.   Then use the silicon or glue to seal up the openings around the bottom side of the socket wrench head.  Note:  Hot glue is not a good thing to use, because it tends to melt when the bowl gets really hot.
  4. After that, use the knife to make a small hole somewhere on the back of the 20oz Pop Bottle.  This will be your carb.  Make sure the carb is above where the bowl will be, and on the opposite side.
  5. Next, use the knife to make a bigger hole, or slit, on the opposite side of the carb for the marker to fit into.  Don't make this hole too big, because you want the marker to be held steadily into place.
  6. Sixth, use the silicon or glue to seal up around the marker.   This is to both hold the marker in place, and seal up the holes that may be around the marker.
  7. Now, cut the screen or tinfoil to the right size and fit it inside the bowl.  Note:  DO NOT use any silicon or glue to hold it into place.  Also, if you are using tinfoil you will need to poke many small holes in it.
  8. Next, see if your bong stands up by itself.  If it does then you are finished.   If it don't then you got one more step to go.
  9. (Optional)Take your clay, or whatever you are using for a stand, and fit it around the base of the bong.  Then mold it so that it either looks good or holds the bong up, which ever you prefer.   Let the clay dry and you are now finished.

Gravity Bong

Supplies:

  1. A small seltzer bottle. (The 1-liter size ones.)(this is the chamber)
  2. A 3-liter soda bottle.(this is the shaft)
  3. tin foil(this is the bowl)
  4. A sharp knife or razor blade(this is for the cutting you need to do)
  5. The cap to the smaller bottle.
  6. Alot of water

Procedure:

  1. First you cut the bottles. Take the small bottle and cut off the bottom. Make the cut where the bottle begins to go straight. On the larger bottle, cut the top off where the bottle begins to go straight.
  2. Next you take the cap to the 1-liter bottle and cut a hole in the top. Make the hole about the size of a penny...
  3. Third, take the tin foil and make a bowl in the cap. Don't make it too deep, about the depth of the cap itself is good. Take your knife/scissors and poke holes in it for the screen.
  4. After that, fill the 3-liter bottle up with water, leave about 1/2-1 inches on top.
  5. Next, put the small bottle(with the cap lightly screwed on)into the water until there is only about and inche sticking out.
  6. Than light the bowl on top while you slowly lift the small bottle out of the water. As you lift the bottle up, the smoke will fill the small bottle. Bring the bottle up until there is about an inch still in the water.
  7. Once you have filled the small bottle with smoke, remove the cap fast and put your lips on the top where the bowl used to be. Once your lips are on, push the small bottle back into the water. This will force the cool smoke into your lungs, and you don't even have to inhale!

    8. Simple "Classic" Steamroller

    Supplies:

    1. One toilet paper roll.(Paper towel/pringles can/etc will work also.)(this is the chamber)
    2. Tin foil.(This design is only for when your desperate, and tin foil is bad for you. Only use it in desperation!)
    3. Scissor/knife

      4. Procedure:

      1. First you cut a small square close to the end of the roll.
      2. Next you get a good size peice of tinfoil and put it on so it covers the square hole and the end of the roll.
      3. Third, now you push the tinfoil down a little bit in the square for a bucket 4. take your pin and poke lots of small holes into the infoil to make a screan. 5. take your bud on put it in your pipe and ENJOY!!.
