Student Support

Committees
The College Members Association (CMA) consists of four committees. Each committee has two leaders (one male, one female) and members new and old are incouraged to join. The four committees and their responsiblities are as follows;
Sport: Arrange interhouse sporting events on weekends and help to sponsor college sporting teams and maintain the sporting equipment owned by the college.

Social: Are responsible for arranging, advertising, and running the many exciting parties and other social events that the college runs (such as balls and valedictory dance).

Member Services: Are in charge of novelty events such as our ever popular water pistol assassination game and the outdoor camps.

Magazine: Members collect information and photos on major events and persons within in the college as well as writing the stories and arranging the photos.

Gymnasium
The college also has well equiped gym which is maintained and upgraded by the Sport's Committee that is open all day to members only and has music, weights, instruction charts and various exercise machines. Members are encouraged to use it (A Most Frequent Gym User Award is given out at the end of the year) as the more people who use it, the more funding it receives.

Magazine
At the end of the year the college prints out a magazine full of the highlights that had occured and hundreds of photos to remind you of the great year you had (since some members have been known to have memory problems about some parties). The magazine is entirely member created and all submissions are gratefully accepted.

O-Week
The prospect of leaving the security of school to the brave new world of university need not be a daunting one. All new members are incouraged to go through an Orientation Week at the college before lectures start. Where the colleges most charismatic veteran members will help lead the freshmen and freshwomen through all they need to know and hold activities so that by the time university starts, you'll have more friends than you can swing a stick at.

Easy Walking Distance to the University
Cap college is but a stone's throw away from the university (well, if you've got a really good throwing arm...) and a walking and cycling tracks are provided, both of which are illuminated by streetlights at night like the rest of the college.

Logowear

Cap College
As well as the distinct logowear shown here (which is on sale at the college office for very reasonable prices) the CMA is also working on bringing out it's own range of unique logowear soon that will be guaranteed to have other colleges going green with envy. Items on sale are jersies, shirts, drinking mugs (holds exactly one can) and stubby coolers.

House Sporting Gear
Every year the house blocks of the cap college pick a mascot and then set out and create their own sporting uniforms (always at affordable prices) to wear to the various sporting events that occur on the weekends.
