The Weirdos: The New Cybertronians!

Note: These characters appear in the fanfic...New Cybertronia. Uh, please, check it out before you read this! This is also not just a bunch of character bios, they also tell a bit about each seperate hierarchy, providing a nice neat notebook for New Cybertronian lovers...or people who just got so darn confused when they read that fic. More info will pop up once 'Fallen' is finished (in other words, not for a long while).

Outlanders

Outlanders are bots that live in the Outlands of New Cybertronia, the least fortuitous place to live. The Outlands are filled with rotting buildings and is generally one big scrap heap. Outlanders are short bots, about the size of Rattrap. They live in constant fear of the Soldiers (who patrol the Outlands to establish order and fear) and the Ruler (who rules everything). Most are ignorant and insane, but there are certain talents each possess that could make them dangerous as a team. Since they are the largest caste on New Cybertronia, they could easily overpower the Soldiers with sheer numbers...if they ever thought of rebeling, which most of them never do.

Dice

Dice is quite suspicious of strangers, since life in the Outlands can be so tough. She enjoys a good argument now and then with...almost anybody, just to prove how tough she is. Dice will brag about her skills and smarts to anyone who'll listen. She is always cautious and is one of the more educated Outlanders. Dice is more interested in saving herself than anyone else around her. She is the only Outlander who has something like a job: she gives herself to male Soldiers in a sort of attempt to insure her own safety and that of those around her. She is the most rebelish of the Outlanders, since she knows Soldiers are not all they appear to be.

Trax

Trax is the very embodiment of ignorance. She hardly knows what anything is, and isn't used to asking people about the answers. It seems she hardly ever sticks to herself, and keeps close to Dice, percieving her as a protectorette. Trax is a listener rather than a talker - more because she hardly has any information to voulenteer than because she likes absorbing things around her. Trax is quite awed by anyone or thing that she deems as important, which is mostly everybody. She is perhaps the most sympathetic of the Outlander group...if you can get her to stop worshiping you and be your friend. She has a genuinely pure heart and innocent disposition.

Overdrive

Overdrive is perhaps the most cautious of the Outlanders...and the loudest. Overdrive will bolt and run at the slightest sound or odd occurance, like a scared rabbit. Unlike a scared rabbit, he will scream a lot while running. He doesn't like - and is scared of - change and new things, and accepts Outlander ways without question, since he's not really smart enough to think of anything better. He is not a very bright bot, but his heart is in the right place. If he doesn't percieve someone as a threat - such as a fellow Outlander - he can actually be quite nice to them, in a blind devotion kind of way. But, if you are a threat he'll clam up and stay as far away from you as possible. Overdrive is also an ignorant Outlander, but he talks a lot more than Trax and shows this a lot more.

Scar Eyes

Scar Eyes is the least liked Outlander, but only because he knows so much more than anyone else. And he talks a lot more than anyone else. How many stories, tales and sayings are stuck in his memory files no one will ever know. He seems to know everything since when New Cybertronia began...and even after that. Scar Eyes is mostly like a cranky old grandfather; the kind that warns you how 'yer gonna get yerself killed someday' or that 'people respected yah in the old days'. His stories about Old Cybertronia never cease, even though he's never been there. That would be bad if he weren't so good at telling them. He seems to be the oldest bot in New Cybertronia and is beset with maladies: squeaky gears, cracked optics and rusty tubing. Maybe that's what makes him so cranky. Scar Eyes is, without a doubt, the most knowledgable of all Outlanders, and possibly is smarter than most others on New Cybertronia. He thinks about the future and the past, not just the present like everyone else, and he can see the dire straights of New Cybertronia quite clearly. Scar Eyes is the grandfather of the group, always reprimanding yet fiercely protective.

Scuzzmuzzle

Scuzzmuzzle was a former Soldier, making him taller and stronger than the Outlanders. He was cast out for reasons only he and Scar Eyes (and a few unknown others) know. One thing everyone knows is he will never talk about them; not ever. He is a very secretive and angst-ridden bot. He has learned quite quickly that his inner demons can abate with alcohol, and spends most of his time drinking or looking for drink. This causes him to be quite anti-social and self-absorbed, since privately he still thinks Outlanders are stupid and useless. Most Outlanders fear him because of his former alliegence, so he couldn't make friends with them if he wanted to. Since he is so obsessed with either drinking or his own problems, he hardly ever tries to rise above his problems and become something more. He is mostly grim and somewhat violent when he's sobre. Scuzzmuzzle seems to have a quasi father-son relationship with Scar Eyes, since the old bot took him in and taught him how to survive in the Outlands. Scuzzmuzzle resents the old bot knowing about his past, and fights with him a lot. He also seems to have had a prior relationship with Dice.

Soldiers

Soldiers are the commanding caste in New Cybertronia, beneath the Ruler, RulerGuard, Scientists and Computoids. Soldiers are created in the Center (the main city in all of New Cybertronia). They train for years in fighting and tactics, and are usually given names that reflect either their favourite weapon, or have weapon names in them. All Soldiers carry an outer shell of rust-red armour and a battle helmet as well as their weapons. This is to protect them from attacks, cool them, and preforms all the functions of a Beast Warrior's internal computer. Soldiers patrol the Outlands to give the Outlanders food and drink, and make sure no Outlanders rebel. That hardly ever happens, so most Soldiers have nothing to do in the Outlands, and are always looking for things to distract them from boredom, and welcome a chance to return to the Center for supplies. Soldiers don't just patrol the Outlands, important ones get to preform more specialized tasks which are mostly kept secret.

Dirkbane

Dirkbane is a commanding officer in his part of the Soldier army, as indicated by the spikes on his red armor. He appears quite gruff and a stern no-nonsense commander, but has a secret appreciation for humour. Dirkbane is always proper and efficient, a very resourceful leader, though he lacks imagination. He is quite fearless and blindly devoted to the Ruler, as most Soldiers are. The weapon he carries is a sword and a standard gun.

Javelin

Javelin is the Rattrap to Dirkbane's Silverbolt, such as it were. He likes being funny and joking around a lot more than Dirkbane, and is certainly more chatty and friendly. While he is not in a position of high authority, his natural skill at battling could make him one...if it were not for the fact he is content to be low in the ladder, not liking the pressures of commanding. He is less devoted to the Ruler than his commander is, and that fact could get him in trouble.
