to awaken each morn
and drink in the dawning  of God's new day
rejoicing in it.

to spread wide our arms
and say "Yes!"
to the whole world.

to laugh heartily
when the sky is raining tears and wrath,
as we do in the golden glow of God's sun.

to live fully each precious moment
joyfully giving to others
what God has so graciously given to us.

to find the courage to go on living
and to extend a helping hand to others
when our own hearts are breaking.

to see the face of Jesus
even in the lowliest of men,
knowing that, he too, is a child of God
loved by Him.
