Rules and FAQ
In Clan Silver Mist, all members will discuss the written works of L.J. Smith, Christopher Pike, and many others. We will have an author of the week, in which the members may discuss anything that has to do with that chosen author's written works via our mailing list. But all members may always discuss anything that has to do with L.J. Smith and Christopher Pike, no matter who the author of the week is since they are our main focus in this club. From time to time we may find another author to add to the main focus authors category.
We will also have a topic of the week which we will discuss along with the author of the week and anything which has to do with the main focus authors. The topic chooser will choose each topic of the week.
There will also be a book of the month for the members to discuss via the mailing list. The book of the month will however, always be one which is written by one of the main focus authors.
If you were to write an email talking about a book or some part from a book, whether it be the book of the month, part of the topic of the week, or just a book by one of the main focus authors, you would require spoiler space. If the information you would discuss had anything which may 'spoil' that book for others who have not read it yet. That is. Here is an example, where I wanted to discuss the book Dark Angel.

This book is one of my favorites in the Night World series because it discusses things that aren't terribly involved with the Night World, as the other books in the series did. I could relate to Gillian and this also helped to gain my likeness for it. I also liked the whole idea of 'unfinished business' which caused Angel to help Gillian. The ending was extremely sad because of Angel leaving, even though he was going where he should have been in the first place when he died.
That would be an exceptional amount of spoiler space. Even if you yourself do not feel you are spoiling the book, if what you are discussing involves events in the book than you NEED spoiler space.
You will send all of your comments and emails about the topic of the week, author of the week, book of the month, or things about the focus authors to
clansilvermist@makelist.com. In all of your emails you must put (csilvermist) in the subject line because many members are in more than one club and get many emails as it is from those clubs and don't have time to look at emails with no subject with the club name in it. Also, please put what you're discussing in your email in the subject line. An example would be DA spoiler in the subject line after (csilver mist).FAQ:
