Main History -- August 2000 -- September 2000 August 1/2, 2000 I didn't get to finishe what I was working on yesterday, so I'm adding it now. I have added a ghost section, featuring stories of ghosts and strange happenings, which were told to me by people I knew, and some which happened to me. I'll be adding it to the menu later. I'll also be re-doing the menu, so the text all looks the same. For some reason, even though I did each one using the same font in the same size, they changed. I will be keeping the menu frame for now, at least. After all the work that was put into it. I won't be doing much else today - I have a test in one of my classes, and have a million other things to do. August 14, 2000 S-... Sydney..... I- I won't be updating for a little while... Vagrant Story.. Sydney .... uuuuuuuuu... When I come back, I'll finish the Ghost section, and I've scanned in one of my two doujinshi, which I'll be putting links to in both the Shounen Ai/Yaoi and Visuals sections. I'm certain that many fanart pieces of Sydney will follow... ..Sydney...... I now leave. August 14, 2000 I'm back, but only briefly. I've gotten a lot finished, it surprises even me. I've added links to my one scanned doujinshi in both the Shounen ai/yaoi and Visual sections, because I couldn't decide which one it should go in. There's the barest amount of 'shounen ai' in the story, but my poor little 'sa/y' section is so sparse. No, the translations are not done, and no, my story is not back up. I don't know why people even liked my story, but, just the same... It still needs to be altered. I'm almost finished the Ghost section, with only one story remaining untold. I may still add one more strange occurance from me, but it's nothing ghostly, simply unusual. Maybe later. I think I'll display a sketch of Sydney on the front page for a bit. Just call it a self-adoption... I'm about halfway through the game, at about 34 hours of playtime. A friend of mine has a video-in card, and is getting a lot of screenshots of Sydney for me... Syyyyydneeeeey..... If there's one thing that Square can actually do right, it's making attractive villain-types. And heros with strange hair... but mostly attractive villain-types. And overly complicated game-play. But the attractive villian-types usually make up for the Byzantian game-play. Where was I? Photoshop 5.5 has one tiny feature, of which I am making great use of. The color selection screen has the ability to both input web-color numbers, and tell one what web-color number corresponds to a color in an image. A small thing, but great for making a page match an image's color scheme, or making images match an existing color scheme. You may notice that I've changed some of this page's colors. (It was looking more pink than purple, so I now have more blue-purples as well as red-purples). I'm also going to redo all of the menu images, to match this new scheme. I may not get around to changing some of the more obscure and less visited pages for a while. I'm also planning to alter the Visual section further, but adding thumbnails as samples from each time period. I haven't been doing much with the new images to get them ready, but expect them in the near future. August 31, September 1, 2000 Yes, Sydney Losstarot is still here. I haven't been doing much in the way of changing that color scheme yet. The reason - my mother has been visiting for two weeks, so I didn't have time to sit down at the computer for several hours at a time. And my free time was completely taken up (well, mostly taken up) by playing Vagrant Story. My friend says I should join something like "Sydney Anonymous". My roommate just wants Sydney to die, he's so sick of him. I ignore them all and play on... Until something happens like my cat stepping on the Playstation when I hadn't saved in an hour, or dying suddenly when I was about to finish a dungeon. I'm up to about 65 hours of gameplay, and am at the endbosses. I died the first time, of course. I now have to go back and try to build up a new weapon that can, oh, I don't know, hit the boss for some damage or something... I now have about 5 pieces of paper filled up with weapon combination tables. Maybe I'll eventually find some weapons that turn into something besides a wizard staff. I've pretty much given up on even trying to make a good silver weapon out of anything other than more silver weapons... How depressing. And here I had this stupid Magnolia Frau thing completely built up against evil, phantom and undead classes. I wanted to turn it into a better staff, but no, can't do that at all. Now I have a silver former-magnolia-frau-now-axe weapon, which I can't chain very well, and can't use with a shield. Sigh. I'll try and get the new menu tonight, to get it over with, and so people can access the Ghost story section. I have more pictures of Sydney to put up as well, but I don't feel like doing that now. Later, perhaps. I think I'll start a Sydney shrine of some sort, and put them there. Again, later. For now, I shall suffer from heatstroke and play more Vagrant Story. Don't die, Sydney Losstarot! Boring Bunny-hair Man shall save you, maybe. I now have the new menu up, and it should work fine. If there are any problems with it, please tell me about them. I have also made the initial images in the Visual section links to the first of each of the image gallery subpages. And such. I haven't even started coding the Sydney Losstarot shrine/fanart page, so if you desperately need to see the images I do have, email me about it, and I'll do what I can. Otherwise, a wait is in store for you. |
