This is an original character, from the Sailor Moon universe, created to be my character in the Sailor Moon roleplaying game, which was never actually played. So, I've come full circle in my drawings... So, this is Sailor Nemesis, a sort of villain. I didn't know much about Sailor Moon when I made up this character, as I hadn't really watched it. I was trying to think of constellation names and such. My friend suggested Nemesis, as it is the name of rogue planetary bodies which approach other planets. I decided to use that, not knowing that a planet called 'Nemesis' had already been in the Sailor Moon universe... When I did find that out, some of the things I had already decided about the character (that she was touched by the "Negaverse", and bore the mark of the dark moon) sort of worked out... this character is the guardian of the world Nemesis, who was conquored and put to sleep when Queen Serenity sent the evil whatever-his-name guy to Nemesis. As a result, Sailor Nemesis became corrupted with the dark moon stuff, and sided with them. She cared about the people who were now on her planet, and was made upset when Sailor Moon killed them. The spell of the guy came off of her, but she still bore the mark of the dark moon, and would likely do so forever. She had a double reason to hate Sailor Moon - for having sent the guy to her planet in the first place, so that she was corrupted, and then for having killed the people that she had come to consider her own. So, the premise of the character was that she had come to Earth as the Sailor of Vengence and Hatred, to take her double revenge on Sailor Moon. Yup.

So, this was eventually drawn in pencil in my sketchbook, with a picture from the Sailor Moon manga as the model, and then was colored with Prismacolor pencils. The picture is not dated, but was probably drawn between October and December of 1999.
