This is a picture of an original character. I was trying to recapture some of my original style, after having not drawn in a long time. In some ways, I was happy with it. In other ways, I felt I ruined it. I have gotten worse at creating costumes. I liked the jacket, but didn't know what to do with the lower part of the body. I tried doing tattooing on the character (yes, that is the character for 'flower' on her head... I can't explain that one...), but the one I chose for her legs was terrible, and I drew it even worse. I felt that the entire picture was ruined. I had already inked it, in fact, this one I drew in ink first. I was ready to scrap this one, when I decided to color over it. The coloring didn't come out too badly, but for covering up her legs, I just colored them in... I tried to hide it as well as possible, but there's still a mess of lines visible under the green. Oh well, her face and coat came out nicely. Drawn in ink in my sketchbook, colored with Prismacolors, and dated June 27, 1999. Actually, now that I look at it again, I don't like it as much, and don't think I did such a good job on either the face or the coat...
