What did I do wrong?
Did I fail you in some way?
Was I not good enough
On the one night we spent together?
Something about you
Is different now.
Your voice and body are the same
But you’re teasing and tormenting me
In a way you never used to do.
You’re always saying you’ll be faithful and true to me,
Instead you’re betraying those words
Every time you walk towards me.
You’re cold and distant
And never wanna talk.
You’re pushing me away
And there’s nothing I can do or say to bring you at bay.
Once upon a time I was able to look right into your sole,
But now you no longer meet my gaze.
It’s almost too hard to explain this hard, dark armor
You’re wrapped up in,
Are thinking that you committed some kind of sin?
I wish that I could close my eyes and wipe away this sudden pain,
But I know now it’s not that easy,
I guess I’ll never know what happened to us.
