Some of this is related to Graduation Day, Part 2. Oh, yeah, this might be a tearjerker, it might not. I don't know. It's my work. I am gonna try to have out a few more stories, if anybody likes this one!

Part One

Buffy sits quietly in the cemetary. It's almost midnight, and she's exhausted. She is out on partol again tonight, hoping to go home. Finally she gives up and starts home. On her way, she hopes to meet up with Angel, her former love that would never last. It was on this street that they had first met,and he, handsome and mysterious, had warned her about the Harvest, of the Master awakining. He still loved her and she still loved him. Buffy started fantazing about what it would have been like to get married.

She was enjoying her little revivery, when suddenly she was attacked by vicious looking demons. They were twisted, uglier than she had ever seen before. Cloaked all in black, they were hideous! Green-brown skin, scarcely covering their faces in patchy places, red eyeballs that glowed brightly in the pitch black of the night. They captured Buffy and, even though she tried to fight them off, she was no match for the three demons. They captured her, and then knocked her out. All went black.

Buffy woke up in a alley, deserted. She felt lost, alone, abandoned. She sat up. Her stomach ached, as if she had been drugged or punched in the stomach. Then came that woozy feeling... she threw up, then almost passed out again, but realized that she needed to get out of there. Standing up was hard, almost impossible, as if it took all of her strength. She moaned, clutching her stomach, nearly crying out in pain and exhaustion. Buffy walked down the alley, finding that she was near Angel's apartment, or so she thought. She was in the street now, and saw somebody in a black coat....was it the demons again or somebody else?

" Buffy?" someone shouted.

She could only moan and nearly fall over in response. But the mysterious someone was none other that Angel. He caught her before she fell over. "Buffy!" he cried. "What happened?!"

What the hell happened to you, Buffy, my darling? Angel thought to himself. Are you OK? Are you dying? God, I need to get you to my appartment or, better yet, to Giles or Willow.

" BUFFY!" Angel shouted as Buffy fell over into his arms. She had passed out again. He ran with her in his arms into his apartment. Angel set her on his bed, then tried to wake her. She seemed dead. He felt for a pulse and found one, so she was just asleep or passed out or.....in a coma. Angel hurried to the phone, and called Giles at home. He wasn’t there. He then realized that they must be waiting for Buffy at the library, so he called there.

" Hello?"

" Giles? This is Angel."

" Oh, Angel, hello. How are-"

" Giles, I just found Buffy out on the street. I went to her. She was moaning and passed out in my arms. She’s in bed, but she’s still unconcious. She’s burning up. I think she might be......in a coma."

" My God. Can you bring her here right away?"

" Of course. The library?"

" Yes. Thank you. Do hurry up."

Willow, Xander, Cordelia and Oz were there, waiting to be told what that was all about. Willow looked worried, as were Xander and Oz. Cordy looked confused, as usual. Giles took a deep breath and began.

" I’m afraid that Buffy seems to be in a, um, bit of trouble."

" What?" Willow asked worriedly.

" Angel found her near unconcious by his apartment. She’s very sick, or so it seems. She had a very high fever, and she was moaning quite a bit, which is very uncharastic for Buffy. Um......"

" Omigod....." said Xander and Oz.

" Wow," said Cordeila.

Willow was a different story. She started to cry. Oz started cajoling her, saying that it was going to be OK. It didn’t help, or not really. It got worse.

Angel chose that moment to burst through the doors, carrying the dead-looking Buffy with him. Willow started to weep hysterically. She was pasty-white, and had a very limp body. She had the underbelly pallor of a dead fish. Xander was scared. Cordelia was horrified. Oz was hugging Willow. Angel stared helplessly at Giles, who cleared off the couch in his office for Buffy. Angel set her down gently, then, surprisingly, started crying!

Willow looked over to Angel, then looking horrified. She ran out of the library, into the hallway. "I’m going to follow her," said Xander. With that, he ran out of the library, taking the same path Willow had.

" Will! What’s wrong?" asked Xander.

" It’ Buffy...I’m just really worried.......seeing Angel cry, I thought it had to be really bad," said Willow.

" It’s gonna be OK, Willow. Trust me," he said.

" No, well, It’s just.....Buffy told me that she had read in a book once ( Yes Xander she has read a book ) that if a Slayer gets really sick, it’s pretty bad, usually. They have an increased risk of dying because of all the demon and vampire stuff....you get it.....and I just read about the same thing............" said Willow.

" Omigod. Does Giles know about this?"

" No, I don’t think so. I couldn’t tell him....that’s why I started crying," whispered Willow.

" Well, we’d better get inside and-,"

Xander was interrupted by a shrill scream. It sounded like Cordelia, but it was followed by alot of commotion. Willow and Xander hurried inside, but before they moved, Willow hugged Xander, saying " Thanks, Zand." Xander replied " Going inside now, hugging later. Ha-ha."

They hurried inside to find Buffy having what looked like a seizure. Willow screamed this time, and started a spell.

Illness be gone, wake for me
The Gods are sought, Make my will so.
Make my will so.

And with that, Buffy didn’t wake, but her seizure was over. Giles suggested that they call Buffy’s mom and tell her that Buffy was sleeping over at Willow’s house. Her mom bought it, so it was OK. They then went to Giles’s house, Angel carrying Buffy, everybody looking very worried.

Just then, Buffy stirred. Willow started to cry AGAIN but this time from happiness. Angel looked worried, still, as was Oz. Xander couldn’t see, he was up front. Cordelia was confused again.

Where am I? thought Buffy. God, my stomach and head hurt. OK, is that Angel above me? Yes it is, I think. He looks worried. Oh, yes, I remember. Demons. Being knocked out. I get it now. " Angel?" Buffy whispered weakly. "Willow? Xander? Cordy? Oz? Giles?"

" God, Buffy, what happened?" asked Giles.

" I’m not sure...everything’s kind of fuzzy. I think I’m going to throw up again some time soon...I’m so tired. What’s wrong everybody? Angel, are you crying? You too, Willow?"

" Shhhhh, Buffy. Go back to sleep. We’ll have you explain at Giles’s." said Angel, who kissed her forehead.

" OK, Angel.........I love you." said Buffy, who went back to sleep, or so they thought.

" Awwwwwwwwwww," said Willow.

" We’re here," said Giles. " Can you carry Buffy," Giles said to Angel. " Sure."

Buffy was moaning, holding her stomach. She felt horrible, as Angel could tell. He felt so helpless, because he couldn’t help her. He loved her.

" Angel, put her in the guest bedroom. You know where that is, right?" Giles asked.

" Okay,"said Angel.

Angel went up the stairs. He layed Buffy on the bed, then smoothed the damp fringe of her hair off of her forehead. "Buffy, my love, come back to me. I need you. I want you. Get well," said Angel. With that, he kissed her softly on the lips. She stirred, confuesed. "Angel!" she cried. "Where am I? How did I get here?" Buffy asked.

" Buffy! You’re awake! Thank God!" cried Angel.

" Where am I?" she asked.

" You’re at Giles’s. I brought you to the library after I found you near unconcious by my apartment."

" I remember. Demons..being knocked out...I remember..."

" Shhhh," said Angel. "I’ll help you downstairs."

" OK," said Buffy.

Buffy struggled to stand up, crying out in pain. She sat back down on the bed, then lifted up her jeans. Angel tenderly held her leg and found a large gash on it. "It looks broken," he said worridly. "Here, I’ll carry you downstairs," said Angel.

Angel carried Buffy downstairs. Everybody looked suprised that she was awake.

" Buffy!" cried Willow happily.

" Are you alright?" asked Giles. "Do you need anything?"

" Some water would be good," said Buffy.

" Your leg...what happened to it?" asked Oz.

" No real clue." she said.

When Giles got back with her water, Buffy explained everything like she had explained it to Angel. Everybody seemed kind of suprised, but, as usual, it was Xander who commented on it. " So the Slayer DOES have a weakness. She’s not invincible!"

" So does this mean we have to go through the whole-I’m the Slayer hear me roar thing again?" said Cordelia.

Just then Buffy’s eyes rolled back through her head and she covered her mouth and ran to the bathroom where a fit of puking took place. "I’ll help her," said Angel.

" No, Angel, you’d better be going. Sun’s almost up," said Willow. "I’ve got it."

" But-Buffy-if-what-but-" he stammered.

" Angel-we’ve got it, bud. I’ll drive you home," said Xander.

" Gee, thanks," said Angel sarcastically.

Once Angel got home, all he could think about was Buffy. He went to bed and started thinking.

What if she’s really sick? What if she needs me right now? What if she doesn’t need me at all? Oh, God, what if she dies? How will I live without her?

Just then a thought came to Angel. Why don’t I go to the Oracales and ask for them to take away Buffy’s illness? With that, he left.

" O’ Great Oricales, I come here to ask a favor of you," said Angel.

" What is it, small one?"

" I come to ask you to revoke the illness of the Slayer," he stated.

" How dare you, you insuboredanant-"

" Hush. This one amuses me. Fine. We shall grant your wish, but beware-"

Angel interrupted. " Yeah yeah yeah just get on with it."

" Very well then. But you will regret not listing to us," one Oricale said.

Remove the ill embrace
Scatter through time and space
Beware the twisted you decieve
Soon you’ll believe.

With that Angel was back in his apartment. He called Giles, and asked if there had been any change. Giles replied, "Why, yes, there have been. She seems quite fine. Healthy as a horse. Rather peculiar, though. It was a miraculous recovery, if I do say so myself."

" I’ll be there as soon as I can, OK? ‘Bye," said Angel.

Angel just walked out the door when he was struck by a bullet. One. Two. Three. Four. The fifth just missed his heart. He collapsed. It felt like they were poisioned. "Buffy..." he whispered. All went black then.

 -

Back at Giles’s house, they had just recieved word that Buffy’s, Willow’s, Oz’s,and Xander’s parents were going to be out of town for a while. A lucky break, they guessed. Cordy’s parents were already out of town on a business conference. Buffy was starting to get worried about Angel. "Giles, can I go look for him? Please? I'm really worried. He should have been here by now!" she exclamed.

" No, Buffy, I'm afraid you're going to have to stay here and rest," he said.

"But I-" she started.

"No, and that's final," he said firmly.

Cordy, Oz,and Xander went to look for him, while Willow went to look for an explination for Buffy's sudden illness and recovery. Buffy and Giles looked in books while Will was on the computer. Buffy also pouted that she couldn't go. Then, just when everybody was really bored, Xander and Oz burst through the door carrying Angel, who was unconcious.

Buffy turned white as a sheet. Cordelia started to explain how they had found him. " We decided to look over by his apartment, and he was unconcious there. He had a few bullet holes in him......." she said.

"Hey, at least we know Dead Boy's not dead because otherwise we would have found dust," joked Xander.

" Shut the hell up, Xander. Just shut up," said Buffy.

" Rear. Hiss. Do we have a little PMS, 'O Slaying One?" Xander said.

Buffy looked at Willow. She nodded, knowing what Buffy was gonna do.

PUNCH! went Buffy's fist into Xander's face. "Yes we probably do, 'O Idiotic One," she said to him.

Buffy walked over to Angel, and unbuttoned his shirt. She screamed. There were five bullot holes in his chest, all oozing with blood. "GILES!" she screamed. He told her to calm down and that they needed to get him to his apartment, because it was almost sunrise. They left, carrying Angel with them.

Buffy was in Angel's apartment, and the others were outside looking for evidence for who might have done this. Angel stirred. He was visibly in pain. He woke up to Buffy's beautiful, loving face. She looked worried, and she was crying. "Buffy?" he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "Hi," she said. " How are you feeling?"

"OK," he lied.

Angel, tell me the truth. I know you're not alright. I can see it in your eyes. Tell me the truth, Buffy thought.

Angel knew Buffy knew that he was lying. She told him to lie stil and she was going to get him a wet cloth, so stay there, she had said.

He sat up and saw somebody there, outside his window. He recognized her. It was Faith. She pulled out a crossbow and said, " Hey, Ang. Ready to die?" Faith pulled out a crossbow out and shot. " BUFFY!" screamed Angel.

"ANGEL!!!!!! FAITH, DON'T!" Buffy screamed in anguish.

"You, too, Buff? Ready to die?" said Faith in a mad, sadistic voice.

"Faith! Don't.......You don't know what you're doing....." said Buffy.

"FAITH PLEASE DON'T HURT BUFFY" Angel said as loud as he could manage.

" That's what you want Angel? Thanks. Then I will just have to hurt Buffy." she said, her voice dripping with vemom.

Faith pulled out a hand gun and fired a two shots at Buffy. Both hit.

 -

Outside, Willow heard Angel and Buffy scream. Everyone hurried inside, to find them both unconcious. Xander pulled out a gun and shot Faith. The shot killed her.

 -

Buffy crawled over to Angel. "Angel," she whispered.

"Buffy?" he whispered. "I can't deny it any longer. She shot me close...too close. I'm going to die."

"NO, ANGEL, NO! I WON'T LET YOU! YOU MEAN TOO MUCH TO ME....." she screamed.

"Buffy, I want you to know I will always love you, no matter what the cirucumstances. I will never see you again, for I am sure I will go to Hell. I killed more than I saved. I love you so much. Let me see you for the last time happy," he said.

"NO!!! I LOVE YOU! DON'T LEAVE ME!" said Buffy. She was weeping hysterically now. "Angel...I'm pregnant with your child....so you can't go...don't leave me like this..."

"Buffy, my love.....I love you.....I love you forever......" he said.

"ANGEL!!!!!!"
