Scene: The graveyard

Buffy and Willow are walking

Willow: "So when is Riley coming back? He has been in L.A. for a month by now"

Buffy: "I havenīt heard a word from him since he called me telling he was going to go to the initiative Hq. Maybe he is training or something and he canīt make contact for the time being"

Willow: "Are you gonna forgive him?"

Buffy: "Iīve been thinking about it and I shouldnīt after all he cheated on me but my loniness is consuming me and I donīt want to feel that, not again."

Willow: "Wow that was unescpected"

Buffy: "What?"

Willow: "You expresing your feelings like that"

Buffy: "Iīve changed a lot you know"

Willow looks at her trying to understand her

Willow: "Yeah I can see. Arenīt you gonna expect the one who makes the floor shaking for you?"

Buffy: "Perfect love is a fairtail"

Willow: "I shouldnīt say no to that since Tara left me in the altar but you...I canīt believe you say that after what you had with Angel"

Buffy avoids eye contact looking to the floor and then quickly raising her head back.

Buffy: "Angel who?"

Willow: "Donīt play games with me Buffy I know you havenīt forgotten"

Buffy: "Iīve been there, donne there and suffered there. Of course I let go of him long ago."

Willow: "Donīt lie to me Buffy I know Iīve been distant since I made new friendships but I still know you better than anything"

Buffy: "Then prove your point, why do you think that?"

She says angrily.

Willow: "What about hearing you calling his name at night when I know that in your dreams everything is perfect..."

Buffy suddenly stops and starts looking at the stars with a fake smile in her face.

Willow: "What about: "Maybe when we kiss again everyting will be perfect and youīll be human again and....."

Buffy starts crying outloud

Buffy: "Stop Willow please stop....."

Willow: "You are very good keeping secrets but.....Buffy?... I havenīt seen you crying since at least 2 years"

Buffy: "Oh yeah well I kind of want to do it now any problem with that?"

Willow: "No Buffy you can cry for as long as you want remember I have been and I will always be your friend having a shoulder where to cry on"

Buffy: "Thank you Willow I really apreciate that you are my friend"

Willow: "Itīs ok. But now What are those dreams about and more important how do you feel about them?"

Buffy: "Itīs hard to explain I keep dreaming about what would happen if I had really told everithing that day when I went to L.A. to see Angel. But I know itīs too late for regrets"

Willow: "Never itīs late for regrets but they are just not very good.... And thatīs why you have pushed him away everytime he comes to sunnydale"

Buffy: "Itīs not just that....I have grow up you know I donīt need anyone watching my back anymore..."

Willow: "Thatīs Rileyīs work but heīs just not very good at it. One time you told me you felt that a sane and good relationship would never be as passionate as one full of sacrafice and fight"

Buffy: "I have changed my mind....too many fights had made me who Iīm today...."

They stop and sit on a grave

Willow: "And who is that? because I kind of not know you anymore"

Buffy: "What do you mean?"

Willow: "I know that Rileyīs problem havenīt affected you...."

Buffy: "What? I...."

Willow: "Come on Buffy you are as sad as always"

Buffy: "Iīm not always sad ....see Iīm happy now talking with my best friend on a grave at 3 oīclock in the morning knowing that the only real love I had is now with someone who tried to kill us both"

Buffy puts a fake happy face waiting to be told what she already knew.

Willow: "Buffy... come on you told him you never wanted to see him again.. he just moved on like you did"

Buffy: "Itīs not just that, itīs that I will always gonna be like this I will always be the slayer, I will always have to fight evil and for the conclusion I will never be happy"

Willow: "Long time ago you knew all this and you were happy"

Buffy: "But it could never had taken place.... too many barriers to break"

Willow: "Happiness comes and goes but love is always there"

As she points Buffyīs heart

Buffy: "Ok.... this conversation itīs getting out of the chart. Can we change subject?"

Willow: "Isnīt Anya really really sexy?"

Buffy: "Ok... any subject but THAT"

Willow: "Oh..."

There is a minute of silence and Buffy seems in deep thoughts.

Buffy: "Iīll never be stronger than Iīm now"

Willow: "Why is that?"

Buffy: "No itīs that once someone told me I had to be strong maybe now Iīm strong enough"

Willow: "I admire you"

Buffy: "And thatīs because...."

Willow: "You have been through a lot and you never fell"

Buffy looks to the floor and puts a sad face

Buffy: "Yeah Iīm strong....."

The scene changes to Angel in his car heading to Sunnydale. He is talking to himself.

Angel: "Oh god everything is coming back the pain...., the desire...... I donīt know if I can look at her again not after what she told me the last time.... In someway Iīm stronger now.... maybe I can deal with it like I did in the old times but forget... that seems more far away each day. Come on Angel you are going to protect her only for that. Itīs something deep inside that tells me that this is it...., is about time and this one Iīm not gonna win.Hey I got an idea Iīm droping Riley at their apartment with the tape and a note telling that I just came to bring this and Iīll be gone for dawn but instead I will stay to protect her. Yeah thatīs the right thing to do and I donīt have to look at her eyes...at least for now."

The scene changes to Gilesīs apartment. Giles, Spike and Anya are researching.

Spike: "Can I eat now? Iīve been trying to figure out this pile of dust for hours"

Giles: "Youīve been there for five minutes and we donīt have any more blood"

Spike: "No I want the cookies that Willow made and then hide them from me"

Anya: "Oh those, I think she put them in a jar behind the microwave"

Spike: "Oh oh Iīm not leaving one"

Spike jumps from the couch to the kitchen and Anya starts following him.

Anya: "Hey leave something for us"

They both grab the jar trying to keep it for them.Then Giles grabs it too.

Giles: "Hey Willow made those for me so back off"

They are all trying to win over the jar.

Buffy and Willow enter silently the house and walk towards the kitchen.

Spike: "I donīt care Willowīs cookies are like the ones my grandmother used to make"

Anya: "Yeah like two hundred years ago"

Giles: "Let go of it. Both of you"

Buffy and Willow find them.

Buffy: "So this is the great team that is suposed to tell me how to kill the next demon-thing that comes to town"

Giles, Spike and Anya stares at her.

Buffy: "You really canīt get good help nowadays"

As she throws her bag away and lays in the sofa.

Giles keeps the jar as he says: "Sorry Buffy we kind of.... Spike started" As he points him.

Spike: "Oh yeah is the clasical when you screw up blame-your-vampire-house-guest. Well is not all my fault they tried to kill me you know"

Willow: "Arenīt you gonna say anything Anya?"

Anya: "Mhhh mhaa" Anya was eating a few cookies she managed to grab from the jar.

Spike: "Hey give me one"

Buffy: "Stop you are all acting like children"

Anya: "Sorry Buffy"

Spike: "Iīm just hungry"

Giles: "It wonīt happen again"

Buffy: "Ok... any new information in the new prophecies books?"

Giles: "No, not yet. Of couse that we just had started so I guess we will keep untill we find something"

Buffy: "Well to work guys"

No one seems very enthusiastic about it.

Willow: "I promise on sunday I will make more cookies. Happy?"

Anya, Spike and Giles: "OK!"

As they are about to start again when the ring rings.

Giles: "Could you get that Anya?"

Anya: "Ok"

She opens the door.

Postman: "Letter for Rupert Giles"

Anya: "Yeah this is it"

Postman: "Could you sign there"

Anya: "Ok"

The postman hands her a letter then she closes the door.

Anya: "Hey is from Xander, he sent me one yesterday I guess this one is for you"

Giles: "Read it please I want to know how our human slayer is doing"

Anya: "He has been training with Angel...."

Buffy sudenly looks to the window avoiding everybodys looks.

Anya: "He is now with Gunn, Angelīs friend who is also a human slayer, in New York destroing some small nests Wesley heard about"

Willow: "Wow maybe he finally became a man"

Spike: "Oh the kid always semmed to have potential"

Buffy gets up and goes to the bathroom. Then giles says silently:

Giles: "What about Angel?"

Anya: "Oh in Xanderīs last letter from L.A. he says that he and Faith.... are closer than ever... I mean they are toghetter as she is also searching for redemption"

Spike: "The guy likes them slayers what can I say?"

Willow: "I donīt believe it how could he have done such thing to Buffy?"

Anya: "Letīs not forget how she treated him last time he came to Sunnydale. I mean he once left her but she has tortured him everytime he comes to Sunnydale"

Willow: "I donīt think thatīs fear to her you donīt know for how much she has been through"

Anya: "And how much is that because she doesnīt show any emotions like... ever"

Giles: "Letīs stop the talking and hope this doesnīt afect her.."

Spike: "Or that she doesnīt ever find about it"

Buffy comes mad from the bathroom.

Buffy: "Whatīs the secret talking about?"

Willow: "Oh nothing"

Buffy puts a sad face almost crying.

Buffy: "You all think I donīt know you are talking about Faith and him.... about how happy they are togetter and how sad Iīm well I donīt care(Crying)....I donīt care anymore"

She grabs her bag and exits running from Gilesīs house.

Spike: "Wow this really got to her"

Anya: "I wonder if she is gonna be okay"

Giles: "She has been through a lot... she will handle it. Right Willow?"

Willow: "Is just that she is pretty sensible lately you know with Rileyīs affair long ago and some strange dreams she has been having lately about you know who"

Giles: "Angel?"

Spike: "Yeah and Rups hits the blackpot"

Willow: "Who else?"

The scene changes: Itīs sunset Buffy is getting to her aparment sad but not crying anymore.

She opens the door and turns the lights on. Then she throws away the bag and hits a button on the answer machine. As she starts the fireplace she heards:

"You have cero mesages recorded"

Buffy: "Like always I have no one to tell me that everything will be okay. Maybe if I check the mail..."

She heads toward the center table to look for the mail.

Buffy: "One letter only and no bills, guess Iīm lucky. Hey is from Cordelia letīs see what thing is she coming with this time"

She opens it and stars reading:

Dear Buffy,

You and I know that we kind of never liked eachother too much but you know Iīd never lie to you. And Angel didnīt want to tell you but I know is the right thing to do. Remember Buffy Iīm not lieing, all the things Iīm gonna describe to you actually really hapened. Well you know that Riley was in L.A. right I donīt know what he told you but he didnīt come for work like he told us he came to kill Angel. But he knew he couldnīt stand against Angel, in fact Angel kicked his ass first time they met, so he kidnaped Faith to get to Angel. They finally met in a subway station and started to fight but then the son of a bitch of Riley killed Faith cold blooded when she tried to save Angel from a shot. After Faith died in his arms Angel atacked him so stronglly he broke his arms and he was about to kill him when he stoped. He later told me that maybe Riley was posesed or something and that untill not being sure he wouldnīt do anything. I know he didnīt killed him because you told him you!

loved Riley. Now, do you still love him? If you still care we have him tied here on L.A. if you want to speak with him come.

Now, do you remember when you came to L.A. near thanksgiving two years ago?. Well that day....."

Buffy: "Well I think is enough(She leaves the letter on the couch). I canīt believe I lived with him and I didnīt realize he was going to do some crazy thing like this, I know he is very jealous person but I never thought he could go insane about that"

After some minutes looking deeply at the fireplace

Buffy: "Cordelia wouldnīt lie to me. Then Iīm leaving to L.A."

Scene changes: Angel is parked just outside Buffyīs apartment.

Angel: "I know she would never wanted me to revenge her, she.... she only wanted redemption and peace. I was strong enough not to kill you. Finally Iīm no longer weak Iīm strong... at least with anything that doesnīt have to do with Buffy"

Angel looks the apartment. He doesnīt see any lights on.

Angel: "Guess Iīm droping you army boy"

Angel carries Rileyīs body to the front door.

Angel: "Well this should be an easy lock to breack"

As he starts kneeling to breack the lock the door suddenly opens. Buffy just stares at his eyes just as he does the same. No words are spoken for a few minutes untill....

Buffy: "Well if it is love boy. I bet you were having a lot of fun now that the happy clause is out"

Angel: "Buffy...I..... I just...."

Buffy: "So tell me was everything planed long before you left me or you just came up with the I love you Faith thing while I was upset when I visited L.A.?"

Angel: "She.... she was...."

Buffy: "Oh yeah she is dead what a pity ah"

She said ironicly.

Angel: "Stop Buffy Iīm not letting you talk about her that way not now not ever"

He said strongly.

Buffy: "Why are you here to torment me or to get an explanation on why Riley did that"

Angel: "I didnīt came here to fight Buffy... not with you. I believe Cordelia sent you a letter did you get it?"

Buffy: "Yeah your secretary told me about the whole Riley going nuts thing"

Angel: "So why are you....."

Buffy: "Iīm going to L.A. to kick his ass then is all yours. Donīt ever think on coming back to L.A. with me"

Angel: "But canīt you see him...."

He points the floor on his left. There is Riley tied laying against the wall, the whole time he had been there but Buffy hadnīt noticed him.

Buffy: "Oh I guess you killed him ah....to (small tears starts coming out from Buffyīs eyes)... to revenge your loverīs death ah?"

Angel: "He is still alive I was strong enough to not to kill him.. Iīm not the weak vampire you once knew... you know"

Buffy: "More than three years had made me face all kind of freaks and I have take them all down... you should be proud Iīm stronger than ever..."

Angel: "Iīm happy about that... but you know that I have always thought you were the strongest person I had ever met and I still think so. Thatīs why I knew you would be strong and move on.... I just didnīt thought you would fall for a mad man..."

Buffy: "Oh boy I was seeing this one coming. You are throwing to my face that Iīm a mess and you moved to happines with someone who tried to kill you by the way..."

Angel: "She wasnīt the same person she was before, Buffy... you īd have liked her..."

Buffy: "What are you looking now, aproval?"

Angel: "Atacking is the best defense ah?"

Buffy: "What do you want from me?"

She screams

Angel: "Iīm here just to protect you"

Buffy: "Oh the same story You left without a goodbye but you come back everytime something really big, uglly and powerfull comes to town like you care"

Angel: "I do"

Buffy almost smile. Then she seems to light up.

Buffy: "Wanna come in?"

Angel: "Ok Iīm bringing big guy here"

Buffy: "Just leave him lay in the floor in the living room"

Angel: "Great place you have here. Well too much windows and mirrors for my taste but itīs still really great and spacius in a really weard way"

Buffy: "Wow you said like twenty words in twenty seconds.Thatīs too much talk..."

Angel: "Iīm not the same Buffy..."

She starts searching in his eyes to know how he felts.

Angel: "You wonīt see my thoughts but maybe my soul"

Buffy: "Do you think about what would had happen if your soul would have been permanent in the old days?"

Angel: "Very often"

Buffy seems happy. She gives Angel a smile and gets up heading for kitchen.

Buffy: "Iīm making me a drink, do you want anything?"

Angel: "No really Iīm fine"

Buffy: "So whatīs the demon-thing coming to get me you are so worried about?"

Angel: "Itīs nothing like that...."

She rushed to say: "Are you in a social/ex visit?"

Angel: "I....I..."

The phone rings.Angel heads towards the window to see a view of Sunnydale and Buffy aswers.

Buffy: "Itīs Buffy. Who is it?"

Giles: "Itīs me Giles"

Buffy: "What is it? Another demon, a creepy thing from hell what?"

Giles: "We found a prophecy involving you and Angel. Next thing Iīm gonna call him to L.A. if you donīt have any problem with that of course"

Buffy: "Donīt worry Giles Iīm taking him"

She said with a smile.

Giles: "What!..."

She hangs up like she doesnīt heard Giles at all

Angel: "Who was that?"

He said coming from near the window.

Buffy: "Eh... just mum asking if I was ok"

Angel: "Your mother has always worried about you, even when she didnīt know about the slaying"

Buffy: "Itīs just a mum. I didnīt know you two got along that well"

Angel: "Well we both worry and care about you(she smiles)... when she came to visit me...."

Buffy: "Woh, woh, hold your horses there talking machine(a smile on Angel) when my mother came to see you?"

Angel: "Oh she didnīt... well one time she..."

Buffy: "You know Angel even if you changed I know you would never lie to me (He noddles). Now when my mother came to see you?"

Angel: "Well I guess itīs about time... Well before the prom I mean the same day we...we got apart she came to see me. She basicly told me you were young, that I was old enough to be your ancestor and that really tough decisions were coming and for you it would be hard to chosse so I would have to make all the decisions. And she closed her statements saying that if I really loved you I should do what itīs best for your sake"

Buffy: "So finally after all this time the two hundred forty seven vampire tells me that he was afraid of my mother and thatīs why he left?"

Angel: "That(he avoids eye contact)...thatīs only one of the reasons why I leaved. You needed someone that was able to maintain a good relationship with you (he seems sad looking to the floor)... someone who would take you into the sun(he looks into her eyes) and..."

Buffy: "Now cut the crap off, the I donīt deserve you crap. What about what I deserve ah? Yes Angel you were selfish you never thought about what I deserved"

Angel: "Of course I did, you deserved...you still do something else...something better"

Buffy: "Do you think I deserved all the pain you made me live throught? Do you think I deserved all the endless nights I spend figuring out why you left without a goodbye?..."

Angel: "I... I have learned from my mistakes. But leaving you wasnīt..."

Buffy: "Yes, it was. The biggest mistake you have ever made"

Angel: "You have to understand that I did it because I was hoping that you would be strong and move on, for your sake and the sake of others"

Buffy: "Here comes superangel again... donīt play games with me Angel"

The conversation had lead them to be standing at both edges of the table near the fireplace.

Silence rules for a few moments.

Buffy: "You have always had pity for yourself..."

Angel: "You changed that, you made me see that my inmortal life was worth living I will always be thancksfull for that. Iīm now more than ever a warrior, the forces have told me

I have a destiny foor good Buffy not bad or evil.... for good to redempt myself. All I can do is be thanckfull to them forever"

Buffy: "So you came to terms with Faith because the forces made you? What are you, looking for now, excuses?"

Angel: "It has been more than two years since you told me you had moved on, that you loved someone else. Do you have any idea of how that got to me? I first thought I was suddenly sick, my legs just couldnīt suport my weight anymore and then you told me you never wanted to see me again that was worst than watching you stake a sword throught my chest when I went to hell.....( he is angy now) Do you know that you are wrong and I can lie to you?"

Buffy: "What?..."

Angel: "There wasnīt just centuries like I told you that I spent in hell there were milleniums, millions of tortures phisically and mentally, you being killed by me hundred of times in my head, How do you tink I lived throught it"

Buffy: "I.... didnīt"

Angel: "I just did, wanna know why? Because all I could see was you at the end of the tunnel because I loved you so much( He feels the memories as he turns around to face the fireplace )"

Buffy: "And what about me I loved you so much I forced you to drink from miself"

Angel: "I... I will be always thancksfull for that...but thatīs other of the nightmares that chase me in the night"

Buffy getīs quiet and silently drinks her tea. The silence fills the air for minutes that seemed centuries.

Angel: "So any big demon-thing to worry about these days?"

Buffy: "It has been quiet lately. Any trouble in L.A.?"

Angel: "Me and Andrea took care of Nadios, leader of the reborned Scourge two months ago, then came Riley.... after that I finished the Wolfram and Hart headquarters in Europe."

Buffy: "Andrea?..."

Angel: "Faithīs second name."

Buffy: "Oh right"

Angel: "Ok Iīm not gonna lie to you, I came because the powers that be told me about you dieing" he says suddenly.

She gets like disapointed.

Buffy: "So whatīs gonna do it?"

Angel: "I donīt know what is gonna do it. But Iīm glad that you took it this way"

Buffy: "So you are here to protect me"

"Protect" that word has new meaning for her since she had forgotten whatīs to feel protected.

Angel: "I have and will always"

She lights up as she gets closer to him. Like if his body was enchanted he starts to do the same. She embrances him and puts her hand on his chest.

Buffy: "You donīt have any idea of how many times I wish I could feel your heart when I do this?"

Angel: "As many as I wished I was human maybe?"

He lowers his head as Buffy raises hers to look in eachother eyes.

Angel: "This... this isnīt right Buffy, please understand"

Buffy: "Just a kiss for the old times, come on"

Angel: "Buffy... Iīm afraid of what could hapen..."

As she puts her finger on his lips she says: "Shhhh.."

As they are about to kiss Giles, Spike, Willow and Anya came crashing through the door.

They all look surprised when they see Angel and Buffy holding eachother that close.

When they realised about the entrance they got apart but not soon enough to keep the others from seeing how they were before the gang came in.

Buffy: "What the hell are you all doing here?"

Giles: "We were worried about you, I called you almost an hour ago. We were worried"

Angel: "Your mum ah"

Spike: "Oh dear Angelus how are you? (he sees the body of Riley) Seems like you had fun with army boy here"

Willow: "I canīt believe you killed him Angel"

Buffy: "He didnīt heīs still alive... well I think.."

Willow: "How can you be not worried about him?"

Buffy: "Lotīs of stuff hapened Will... I think you should read that letter(as she points Cordyīs letter)"

Angel: "Well that save us the explanation"

Anya: "Donīt try to run away from this one big boy, are you back toghetter?"

Angel: "I... We were..."

Buffy: "We were just remembering old times"

As she gives Angel a not now look. Suddenly Willow gets up and starts walking towards Angel.

Angel: "What is it Willow?

She slaps him in the face

Willow: "I canīt believe you never told her"

Buffy: "Told me what?"

Willow: "Here read Cordeliaīs letter... the last part"

Buffy starts reading.

Angel: "Oh damn Cordy wrote Buffy about thancksgiving"

Cordy: "Damn right I did"

Angel: "Cordy what are you doing here?"

Anya: "Xander honey how are you?"

They kiss as they hugh tight. The two gangs get togheter

Wesley: "Iīm sorry Angel I told them not to come but I couldnīt stop Xander and Gunn they were all worryed about you with the PTBīs prophecie and all"

Angel: "Thatīs Ok wes"

Cordy: "Weīd had come early but here book guy didnīt want me to come I had to wait for Gunn and Xander to convince him"

Gunn: "So who is the chick Andrea told me about that holds Angel heart ha?"

Everybody was suprised and Buffy and Angel were blushing.

Buffy: "That would be me I guess (as she looks at Angel).... Were you ever gonna tell me?"

Angel: "About what? (with an inocence look)"

Buffy: "About when you were humann (she screamed)"

Everybody was shocked exept Willow and Cordy of course. Angel human? How? When?"

Cordy: "Seems like you got caught Angel"

Angel: "No, I wasnīt"

Buffy: "Why?..(she asked crying)"

Angel: "Because we couldnīt be togetter Buffy not then not..."

Buffy: "How do you know that?" She said in a very sad tone.

Angel: "Because I thought you moved on and you never wanted to see me again"

Buffy: "Donīt you think I deserved at least to know about my own memorys?"

Angel: "I thought you deserved a better life thatīs because I didnīt tell you so I wouldnīt hurt you"

Willow: "I think is pretty late for that"

Cordy: "He gived up everything he ever hope to have the bleesing to have for you.... for you to live and be happy... I think he didnīt deserved anything of the things you did to him this last year"

Buffy: "Angel... Iīm very( she is crying)..."

Angel: "Shh... you could never..."

Buffy: "No this canīt be hapening."

Right then she start runing out of the house when he tried to held her from the waist.

Willow: "Wait Buffy"

Angel: "Buffy you canīt be alone!..."

Everybody just stared at her as she was leaving.

Angel: "Sorry everybody this is my fault...."

Cordy: "No itīs not your fault, itīs mine... Iīm very sorry Angel..."

Wesley: "Come on honey it isnīt your fault, right Angel?" As he hold her against his chest.

Gunn: "This isnīt doing us anygood people... the prophecie talked about you two dieing Angel. Remember?"

Spike: "At least someone still wants to make something out of this"

Giles: "What prophecie Angel?"

Angel: "Sorry Giles I canīt think straight right now I just have to find her"

He grabs his coat and heads to the door.

"We are coming with you" Xander, Anya, Willow, Wesley and Cordy said.

Gunn: "Donīt worry Angel Iīll put everybody else up to what we know"

Giles rushed to say: "When you find her find us at my house"

Scene changes they are leaving Angelīs car at somewhere dowtown.

Willow: "We should split out"

Angel: "Ok you are right this is gonna be easier if we split out, Cordy and Wes head for her old house and check Willowīs dorm"

Xander: "What about us Angel?"

Angel: "Head towards the cementeries check them all if you need"

Anya: "Where are you going?"

Angel: "Iīm gonna check some special places.. and Xander donīt forget this"

As he hands him a stake from his pocket.

Xander: "Be carefull with those in your pocket dead boy"

Angel: "Donīt worry I will" He says with a smile.

Angel starts the car and stars driving. Although he had sent everyone to diferent places he knew exactly where Buffy was at that time but he just thought she... they needed some time toghetter as he needed to explain a lot and to teel everything that was once left unsaid.

Scene changes: Gilesīs house

Gunn: "And as Angel was fighting Nadios Wesley woke up listening to something like this:"

Gunn: "Then came something like this:"

"Yet destiny is not revealed to us
we know youīll free the slayer from her prision
while the darkness will keep you in living hell
untill you choses to exist"

Giles: "Mhhmm we found something very much the same, oh Spike can you pass me the Powers codex please?"

Spike: "Buffy and Angel going to hell? For bloody hell I will. I donīt want to miss a thing"

He grabs it and hands it to Giles.

Spike: "Yeah I fount it you know, ha without me you wouldnīt know a bloody thing about this"

Gunn: "I have fought several demons but I never thought a vampire would be as anoying as you once he couldnīt eat anymore"

Spike: "Itīs my pleasure too"

Giles: "Now in this book the prophecie goes like this:"

"Once the slayer founds the love she thought lost
the chosen one will face the past that dontīt wants to let go
as her lover comes to her
he will bring the drakest demon hided deep within him.
Then the true battle shall start
the love that wasnīt suposed to exist
shall triumph at the end
but freeing his lover
will trap the dark Angel to were the demons belong.
As the one from within him will rule his body
if the their two souls canīt finally become one"

Gunn: "Seems like Angel is in great trouble as we thought"

Spike: "Bloody hell he is"

Giles: "And so is Buffy. Letīs move. Spike start the car Iīm taking some things weīll need"

Spike: "Where are we going?"

Giles: "To where they are"

Gunn: "How do you know that?"

Giles: "I know them much better than they realize"

Gunn: "Right"

Spike: "And what about the others?"

Giles: "Weīll leave a note telling them we are at Angelīs mansion"

Scene changes: Angel is standing in front of the old mansion

As he walks past the main door the feeling of her overwhelm him. He can feel her presence there as he remember the endless nights he spend with she wraped in his arms, laying in the bed trying to escape the desire of have her then. He gets to the main hall.

Buffy: "I knew you would come..."

Buffy had started the fire in the fireplace and was staring at it facing her back with Angel.

Angel: "I knew you would be here..."

Buffy: "I... I think I never apologized miself for that night when I had to..." She looks sad

Angel: "Donīt ever think on apologizing about that we both know that it was the only way"

Buffy: "You suffered a lot there donīt you?"

Angel: "I... I really donīt want to talk about that....but there was too much unsaid when I left and oh my god Iīm so sorry Buffy...

Buffy: "So you finally understand for what I went through when you leaved me... without even a goodbye"

Angel: "I... I was wrong Buffy Itīs just that if I would say goodbye Iīd have stayed. And then you would be still stuck with me in the darkness..... you donīt belong here between shadows Buffy... you belong to the light, to the sun, to the day..."

Buffy turns around to face Angel.

Buffy: "You forgot that I first belong to you wherever you are it doesnīt matter...you...you forgot"

Angel: "How could I ever forget that night Buffy? That cold night in the docks where I gave you me and you gave me you... when things that had been unsaid were said... when I first though that there was still hope for my tortured soul... and wished the world would stop to put my arms around you and never let go"

Buffy: "Damn Angel and now you say that, after all this time..."

Angel: "I been around for centuries and I learned that time cures the wounds... I told myself that so many times that I almost belived it but whenever I hear you name then, now or ever I feel the intense feeling of being alive,... of being in love just the same as it felt that day I first saw you in L.A."

Buffy: "I have had that thought... so many times I wished I could forget but each time was getting harder... and you kept coming back to Sunnydale which for a moment gave my broken heart what it most needed... hope... and I hated you for that... you again were capable to make hurt so much.... I could endure the worst of demons in all hell and earth but stand a heartbreaking moment with you that is just

imposible...."Angel: "Three years canīt be that easy erased..."

Buffy: "Now or ever..."

Angel seems lost in her eyes. As he comes back to reality.

Angel: "I kept this with me since long ago(he shows her his ring)... I could ever wear mine even if you didnīt love me... but the other has always belonged to you Buffy..."

He gets a chain with a ring from around his head and gives it to her.

Angel: "Since that night... I have always kept it near my heart. It has been cold for so long that I want it to warm with you... just like it used to be before"

Buffy: "Revelations come with consequences Angel. Are you sure this time you wonīt get away at the first problem that appears?"

Angel: "(smileing)I see great wisdow there"

Buffy: "Will you?"

Angel: "Take this ring and be forever mine Buffy. Now or ever I wonīt leave you again because if I did Iīd have died three times... and no matter what hapens I will always love you and be by your side"

Buffy: "You once said that.Why should I believe you this time?" She said almost crying

Angel: "Because I īve learned for my mistakes...because Iīve seen life without you and itīs not worth living no matter how I am or what I have... nothing can replace you Buffy now or ever... nothing..."

Buffy: "And our paths cross again, it seems like a big joke from destiny"

Angel: "The bleesing of had found you itīs only compared with the hurt and the desire that is to love you"

Buffy: "Do you still...?"

Angel: "I never lied when I said Iīd love you forever"

Buffy: "I know, somehow I have always known that since that very first day I saw you standing in the shadows like a dark angel... looking at me like if you could see my very own soul.."

Angel: "I can"

Buffy almost run her way to Angel who was a few metters away and throw herself into his arms crying outloud as he starts crying for hurting her so much.

Buffy: "Oh god Angel Iīve missed you so much.... and Iīve tryed to what you said... to move on to something new, diferent but I realized that no matter how much I try I just canīt...."

Angel: "I was wrong... I should have never leaved you, not without a goodbye..."

Buffy: "You shouldnīt have leaved me at all"

They hug eachother even stronger. They reach their lips and kiss gentlely.

Then suddenly a rush of red light is followed by a voice....

Voice: "Hello lover are you cheating on me?"

Buffy: "Lover.... no this canīt be oh my god is Angelus Angel"

The wind starts to blow faster.

Angel: "You will never take her demon. Iīm here to protect her"

Angelus: "That was just what I was expecting you to do. You see I was kind of worried when finally some whore would give me the chance to walk earth once again but the powers give your pitiful soul quality of permanent so I had to think another way around to kill all the people you love Angel"

Angel: "You canīt control me here Angelus now Iīve got the control"

Angelus: "You are wrong, as long as she is alive I will always have control over you"

Buffy: "Angel we have to get out of here. We canīt fight what we canīt see"

Angelus: "Enough with explanations I will get what I came for. The slayerīs soul"

Angel: "Over my dead body"

Angelus: "Have you forgotten? You are already dead..."

At this moment Buffy fell to the floor.

Angel: "Buffy!... Buffy!.... Damn demon what did you do to her?"

His voice was full of vengance and anger it sounded like the sound of the taunt of a black panther.

Angelus: "She is with me now. Donīt worry she will soon or later like this place. Hell is her place now and soon will be yours. If you wana drop by Iīll leave my door open"

A red light portal is opened. Angel knows where it leads...

Angel: "I wonīt let you die Buffy. Iīll bring you back no matter what..."

He kisses her forehead and heads to the portal.

Giles: "Wait Angel youīll need this"

Giles hands Angel Buffyīs claddagh ring

Angel: "How long have....?"

Giles: "That doesnīt matter now, go on you are the only one who can save her now..."

Gunn: "Good luck friend"

Spike: "I wish I could go with you it would be great to talk to old friends"

Giles: "Remember that she has always loved you Angel"

Angel: "I know.."

Angel heads towards the portal as he is about to enter...

Cordy: "What the hell are you doing?"

Xander: "What!"

Willow: "Where is Buffy?"

Anya: "Whatīs happening Angel?"

Angel: "If I donīt come back I want you to know that youīll be always be in my heart as the only friends I have ever had....Good Bye"

Wesley: "No wait! Angel donīt!..."

Angel enters the portal... After a feeling of being sucked to something he gets up from the floor to see hell again. The last battle was yet about to begin....
