Disclaimer: The Buffyverse and all its characters belong to Joss Whedon. The songs quoted are 'Unfinished Sympathy' by Massive Attack, and 'You showed me' by Salt 'N' Pepa. While I profited immensely from writing this, it was spiritual. No money was involved, so don't sue.
I'm giving this the Australian rating of M15+ (Recommended for people 15 years and over) for adult themes and language. There is swearing in this, but nothing you couldn't hear in the average high school (or at least what you could have heard in mine) when a teacher isn't around. This takes place during the wrote it, between 'BBB' and 'Passion'.< This indicates thoughts >, while ** indicates song lyrics **
Part
Two
Angelus grinned as he felt the Slayer's flesh quiver beneath the skimpy tank top. He hated the memories of when Angel had been the one in charge of this body, but some of them were very handy. Once he had the Slayer offering herself to him right there on the dance floor, he just might take her up on it before he killed her.
Then a new song started, and Buffy could hear Giles' voice as if it were coming from far away. 'Don't block the blow, go with it. Use your opponent's own force against him...'
**You showed me what to do, exactly what to do
When I was in love with you**
As Buffy listened, she knew what to do. Angelus had Angel's memories of how her body reacted to his touch, but she had her own memories of his. Angelus may be the persona in control now, but his body was the same…
Cordelia smirked as she walked back to the table. She'd seen the way Buffy smiled as she heard the lyrics, and congratulated herself on requesting just the right song to inspire Buffy for a little payback. Cordelia knew all about turning the tables on your opponent, in her old crowd it was a basic survival skill.
**You know its true I can do it too**
Buffy looked directly into Angelus' eyes as his hands moved to grasp her hips, and asked "Remember what you said to me the first time we met? About how I didn't know much about men?"
"That really got to you, didn't it?" he replied, pleased at her reaction.
"Why not? You were right after all…more or less."
"More or less?" Angelus asked witheringly.
**You showed to me what to say, exactly what to say
In that very special way**
"There is one man I know a lot about. You."
"Me? I seriously doubt it."
Buffy smiled with a mixture of gloating and anticipation < I'm finally going to do some damage back! > as she slid her right hand along Angelus' jaw, cupping his face in her hand as she brought his head down to hers. She could feel his jaw tighten as he tried to control his body's automatic response to her caress, and whispered in his ear "This goes both ways, Angelus. It's amazing what you can learn in a single night with the one you love."
**And when I tried it I could see you fall
And I decided It wasn't hard at all**
Buffy nestled her body against his, by her choice this time, making sure her left hip grazed the spot that had made Angel moan. She heard the tiny gasp Angelus made that no one but she could have heard, and knew her plan was starting to work.
< But I want him to run from me > she thought vengefully.
Buffy softly pressed her chest against his then arched her back to increase the contact. Keeping her left arm around his neck so he couldn't get away without an effort, she took her hand from his face and slowly ran it over his chest. Angel had always liked that.< Let's see just how well this body remembers mine >
Buffy slid her hand down his chest, feeling the skin underneath the thin black shirt jump at her touch. They had stopped pretending to dance, now they just stood locked together.
**Honey come on now, I throw the switches**
She slid her hand sideways and around, feeling the edge of his belt along the side of her hand, then lightly dug her nails into his back as she trailed them up his spine and she cast her mind back.
She searched through her recollection of all the times she and Angel kissed, what had made him respond to her even when he didn't want to. Then she drew upon her memories of their night together, of the things he had shown her and the things she had discovered…
**You showed me what to do, exactly what to do
When I was in love with you**
Buffy bent her head and flicked the very tip of her tongue against the skin of his throat. It had made Angel groan, and drag her head up to kiss her hard. It made Angelus growl softly, low in his throat and subtly try to pull away from her, but she wouldn't let him. Buffy bent her right leg slightly, rubbing the inside of her thigh against the outside of his thigh and tilting her hips against his. She was wearing a short skirt, and she knew that Angelus could feel the warmth of her body through the fabric of his trousers.
**You know it's true I can do it too**
Angelus knew that he was losing this battle, but couldn't figure out how. The Slayer's actions were bringing forth Angel's memories of his lover and Angelus couldn't stop his body from reacting to them, as he relived the way Angel had felt the first time he'd tasted her lips, the first time he'd touched her bare flesh. Those memories weren't coming in handy any longer, they were torturing him just as the Slayer was. If he didn't know it was impossible, he'd swear that his so-called 'better half' was trying to help her by bringing his memories to mind so intensely.
**You showed me what to say, exactly what to say
In that very special way**
Buffy knew without a doubt now that her lover's body remembered her vividly, and decided to raise the stakes. In a low, purring tone of voice, halfway between a whisper and a murmur, she started to speak to him.
"You have Angel's memories, so I guess you remember the time he was recovering from Spike's spell to heal Drusilla, when I visited him during lunch before my free period and I took off my dress and slid into bed beside him. Even though he doesn't breathe, he gasped when he felt my skin against his bare chest, and when I pressed my body against his he moaned my name and held me tight. It hurt him but he didn't care, the pain just added to the pleasure.
"You have Angel's memories, so I guess you remember every detail of our night together, because it brought you forth. I guess you remember the way I slid my hands over his body as I helped him undress, the way he shuddered all over when our naked bodies touched for the first time. I guess you remember the way he gazed into my eyes and whispered my name when we joined-"
Angelus tore himself away from Buffy and snarled "Enough!" As he stalked off the dance floor, his superior hearing caught the Slayer's mocking whisper.
"Tired of me already?"
Buffy watched Angelus walk away from her, and smiled in triumph. After all the emotional trauma he'd inflicted on her, she had finally inflicted some back. She knew that he would never use Angel's memories of their night together again; she had proven that his repossessed body was just as vulnerable as hers was. She looked across the floor to Cordelia, and caught her smile of approval as the song ended.
