Chapter Twelve

Present Time

So for the last century or two we have been living in Avalon. Shani finished her story an hour later.

Wow, like intense, you were murdered by your brother, brought back from the death, found out your folks did the hocus- and lived in a place that exists in fantasies. Cordelia said looking up from filing her nails.

Willow and Buffy frowned at her as Xander cheerfully said

Cordelia honey, shut up!

Well excuse me for stating the facts. Cordelia said rolling her eyes

Is she always like this? Tara asked her twin in a low whisper.

No, she's being good today! Buffy said laughing as overheard the question due to her supernatural hearing causing Cordelia to glare at her.

Listen, do you and Shani wanna stay at my house with Cordelia and Willow, we're having a girl's only weekend starting tonight. Buffy asked

Tara and Shani exchanged a hesitant glance, unsure of the offer.

It'll be a blast, besides they'll be more space at Buffy's place. Willow said when she saw the sisters hesitate.

I can even give you makeovers, which might I add you sooo are in need off. Cordelia said helpfully in her own way.

NO, makeovers Cordelia! Angel said as he suddenly had visions of his sisters dressed in tiny, skintight outfits that Cordelia and Buffy where found off.

Isn't that our choice? Shani said, always for defying her older brothers when they took it upon to make her decision.

We'll be happy to come! Tara said shooting a look at her younger sister and twin brother before the started a fight.

Great! You'll have fun, I promise. Buffy said with a

smile.Excuse me, not to be nosy, or break the happyfest but I have a question. Oz said speaking up for the first time since Shani had finished her story.

As all eyes settled on Oz, he took an uncertain breath and asked.

What was Jacques? I mean he didn't sound just Pagan to me, it sounded like he had stronger magic than all of you, and Annabelle. Oz finished.

He wasn't, Jacques started with Pagan magic as a child like we did but when we were at collage he was apprentice to a powerful sorcerer who passed his powers and knowledge to Jacques when he was killed by a rival. Johnathan said

Way cool, I've started to practice the craft myself, Ms. Calender is my mentor but she's at London with Giles and they won't be back till school opens. They decided that since the undead seems to be a bit dead, Giles and Miss Calendar they should to go to the mother country for a smoochie-filled vacation. Willow remarked

Well if you need any help while your teacher is away, I shall be glad to be of assistance. Kathryn said smiling down at the shy girl who in returned looked up gratefully.

Thank you so much, I would love any help you can offer. Willow said happily

We should be going now, it's getting really late, and my mom wants to say good-bye before she leaves for a three- week art convention in Paris. Buffy said getting up, Cordelia, Willow, Tara, and Shani quickly followed the suit.

If you could just wait a minute so Shani and I can get some clothes we can be on our way. Tara said walking into a bedroom with Shani at her heels beckoning the other girls to come in as well.

Cordelia immediately headed for the open closet that was over flowing with clothes as the Slayerttes and Slayer entered the room.

I'm gonna help you decided what you should keep and what you shouldn't, whatever else you need which I'm sure will be a lot we can get at the mall or head out to LA for a shopping spree. The May Queen said as she leafed through the clothes and started pulling items out.

Be worried, Cordelia's makeovers can be deadly, and very maddening. Buffy joked from the chair she was sprawled in.

Great, we can join Dru in the loony bin. Tara muttered sarcastically joining her Buffy in another chair while Willow and Shani sat Indian style on the floor.

You know Dru? Willow asked surprised.

We don't know her personally, we just know of her, when we lived in Avalon we kept an eye on Angelus, looking for when he got his, or we thought he might need our help. Shani said while watching Cordelia through various dresses onto the floor by where she was sitting.

So why did you decide to come now, is there some baddie coming to town? Buffy asked casually even though she was dying of curiosity. No baddie, we just thought it was time we re introduced ourselves to Angel. Tara said just as casually.

Buffy you can like get the 411 on your Cryptic honey later, because I so wanna get to your place and plan this totally needed makeover. Cordelia said walking to the door with a bag of clothes that she had thought to be decent enough for anyone in her company to wear.

Bye Mamma, Daddy! Shani and Tara said as they followed their new friends outside.

Shani, Tara wait! Angel said walking up to his sisters he handed each one a credit card.

These are for you, I had them made up before I left for Ireland, all you have to do is sign it. Also please, don't ruin your credit on the first day, I know Cordelia and Buffy, they are experts on ruining credit lines, but I trust you to be good. Angel finished as he walked inside while Buffy and Cordelia made staking motions when they heard his comments.

The girls smiling and laughing got into Cordelia's car and headed over to the Summer home.
