HISTORY

Like most muls, Likrag was born into slavery not knowing whom his father or mother was. He was nurtured to young age by a stepmother who was in charge of feeding and caring for him until he could fend for himself. That was when the merchant house that owned him tried the mul out for different chores, each harder than the last. He was trained as a simple slave and as he grew up, his fighting skills were developed in the arena pits, but his special talent was in psionics where he could outlast the most accomplished masters of the way. Being that this particular merchant house was from Balic and did a fair bit of trade using the sailships in the Silt Sea, Likrag was trained in the art of psychokinesis and particularly the art of shipfloating.

Likrag became one of the best shipfloaters in the Silt Sea and traveled its vast expanses many times over. The shipfloaters always worked in pairs so he had time to develop his other skills and became quite adept at fighting and more than held his own when his sailship was attacked by the many pirates that infest the sea. It was in one of those skirmishes when his crew was killed and he was left for dead.

He was later picked up by a pirate who saved him and befriended him. When his skills (seamanship and fighting) became apparent, he quickly rose through the ranks and became a commanding officer. He had an easy life for a while living on the edge and relying on his wits and strong left arm. His crew was attacked by a couple of blood worm and most were killed. The remaining members (Likrag included) went to shore and decided to adventure on dry land for a while.

APPEARANCE

Likrag has a bald head which he keeps covered with brightly colored cloths. His face is clean with no facial hairs and he has a vicious looking scar running from his left cheek down to his collarbone. He wears a large gold-colored disk for an earing but on a closer look one can tell that the paint has been chipped and the cheap jewelry has began to show its true color. He is about 6"8´ and is well built tending towards a lean wiry frame for a mul. His left shoulder shows an intricate blue-black patterns that betray a master artist. He wears a loose baggy pair of pants of bright colors and a loose fitting shirt. Around his waist he wears a leather belt where hangs his bone cutlass and long knife. In his back is a travel pack and hang two water skins. He sometimes wears protective eye goggles and face mask for when the silt is "thick" in the port area or the sea itself.

PERSONALITY

Likrag hates slavery and that has been a driving principle in his life; not even in his pirate days would he deal with slavers. His favorite targets were slaver ships and he would go out of his way to make things hard on them. He distrusts most merchant houses and believes that they are out to double cross him. He will try and do that himself at the first chance that he gets but is no fool. He is almost past his middle age and has been a smart man to make it this far.

He is an expert seaman and due to an uncanny ability of his, he always knows his course and his ships sometimes sail during the night. He has been known to find his way out of the most intense silt storms in the sea. This gives him confidence and natural leadership ability.

He is a ruthless man in combat and has never shown mercy to an enemy; he has been lucky so far but has made many adversaries around the port areas. He never had any schooling and his reading and writing skills end in the sailing charts of the silt sea. He has grown up in an environment and lived most of his life where even the women were rough and he treats everyone the same way.

He loves to spend money and is now trying hard to save some to buy a sailing ship and get back to the sea he learned to love. His money is usually spent on drinks and women since he feels that it is better to spend whatever is here now rather than risk dying; he does not want to leave riches when he dies. He has learned to fight the giants that abound the sea and will usually scalp his enemies and make rope out of their hair.
