Alright, alright. I admit it. At first I chose Jiri as my favorite player because I knew that him being young to the NHL would make stat memorization VERY easy. Step by Step programs are usually the most successful:)
Anyway, as I started to do more research on him, getting a hold of every tidbit my little hands could, I found him to be a really cool guy:) I'll also admit that I'm extremely jealous that he knows three languages. I know English, about 1/4 Spanish, and maybe 1/1000th of French.
Second of all, he has my dream profession. Then again, being a girl of 5'2" 112 lbs, and never having played ice hockey before wouldn't exactly be what the scouts are looking for- unless they want someone to run around screaming on the ice as she has about 3 big Avalanche guy sized Gorillas chasing her. I guess I'll leave that where it started- my dreams:)
3rd, my ole buddy Larionov may be switching teams or retiring in the future. I had to get another body guard, being the Leadress of the World and all! (PS: it's an inside joke that Larionov, Osgood and Fischer are my body guards. Don't even ask, I'm a sad, wretched victim of too much caffeine)
4th, all the other guys on the wings have at least ten truck loads of fans. Since Jiri's 'new' to the NHL, he needed someone to care- so along came Katie and I and then this page- to locate all the long lost Jiri fans out there! We know you exist! You can't hide forever you know!:)
And finally This is a big thing to me, although some of you may not mind.... You know how the guys always spit on the floor of the players box? Well, not to say he hasn't, but I haven't seen him do it and that's just wonderful!! I don't mind people spitting, just watching them is, well, gross. So keep it up Jiri! (The not spitting when the TV camera's on you :D)
