A hardline Hermetic, Sanitus built up his reputation within the Order as a Marauder-hunter, which earned him respect from some circles, but fear and disdain from others. His long and successful career came to an end when he attempted to hunt down and kill the Marauder Pete in the upper regions of Minnesota. His first attempt destroyed the mage's home, but Pete himself escaped. He made his way back to Minneapolis to research where his target might have run, but on the road back was ambushed by a group of Minneapolis-based orphans who saw Pete as almost a God. The orphans failed to kill him and once Sanitus reached the chantry he rallied many there to attack the orphans' home in retaliation. Sanitus died in the resulting battle, which began the orphan revolt that claimed Minneapolis.
