I wear a blind mask
That only the world can see.
It is strong and silent;
It only obeys me.
It has no heart
It owns no mind.
Like deep waters
It reflects not what lies behind
Because beyond this mask
Floats a simple fragile doll.
It is my soul that floats alone.
It is Adam before the fall.
This doll sees more than a thousand lives
And knows which strings to pull
And as long it guides the mask in front
The mask will be its tool.
