This is my favorite photograph of all I've taken. I've taken may beautiful photgraphs, though most of them are on slide film. I have some breathtaking slides taken from the top of Haleakala Crater, which exist only as huge prints, but I've taken some snapshots I enjoy, too. This photo of them all, however, is my favorite. This is the Banzai Pipeline, taken from Sunset Beach off the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii. I took this with my girl friend's camera in April, 1984. The waves were huge, and this particular photo looks almost like a painting. I love the colors; the sky and the sea.

This was taken from our hotel on Maui, the "Lahaina Shores". This hotel is just a few hundred yards south of the town of Lahaina. It's not as luxurious as the hotels north in the Kanaapali area, but I enjoy it.
The sunset colors in tropical lands are often beautiful. When you stay at this hotel, the island of Lanai (the pineapple island), is visible across the ocean. This part of the Pacific is known as the "Lahaina Roads." Lahaina was a famous whaling port.

This is a view from the back of the hotel of a portion of the West Maui Mountains. They are beautiful.

This is another view of these beautiful mountains.I'll eventally post some other photos. I just happened to scan several of these mountain photos.

This is a photo of our hotel, with the mountains in the background. I have never seen such images of Maui, which is one reason I have them here.

Another beautiful sunset, taken from the hotel area. It's just amazing how the sunsets are do different from night to night; and at various times during the setting of the sun.
