EXCALIBUR |
| Excalibur was formed by the mutants Shadowcat and
Nightcrawler, who believed that their teammates, the X-Men, had been killed
in Dallas, Texas. During a fight to rescue Rachel Summers from the Warwolves,
the mutants encountered England's champion Captain Britain and his companion
Meggan. After Rachel was rescued, the five adventurers formed the British
mutant team Excalibur. Excalibur has dedicated itself to investigating and combating superhuman menaces in Great Britain and continental Europe, as well as to the promotion of mutant-human peaceful coexistence throughout the world. Excalibur, since the team is not based in the United States, has not been attacked by Operation: Zero Tolerance. However, anti-mutant sentiment has risen sharply as a result of the Onslaught crisis and is likely to spread across the ocean.
