From Startrek.com:
"Production officially cranked up today at Paramount Pictures to kick off the seventh and final season of Star Trek: Voyager. Although the conclusion to the exciting Borg episode "Unimatrix Zero" was originally scheduled to begin filming on Tuesday June 20, production was put back two days to accommodate some last minute scheduling changes. Star Trek Voyager veteran director Mike Vejar will helm the exciting conclusion. Actors Ethan Phillips (Neelix) and Robert Picardo (The Doctor) had the honor of being the first cast members to have to report for duty - their makeup call was for 5:45 a.m.! The 7-8 day shoot for "Unimatrix Zero, Part II" begins quite routinely with most of the actors getting their hair trimmed to ensure that they match their appearance in "Unimatrix Zero, Part I." Costumes are also checked and fitted, makeup is done and most of all, greetings are exchanged as many of the actors and production crew haven't seen each other in several weeks.
Sort of like returning to school after summer break, the actors and production crew have to once again answer that 4:30 a.m. alarm, drive to work in the dark, roll out heavy equipment, dress the sets, plan shots, spend hours in the makeup chair, learn lines and most of all have fun in this, their final year." |
