KATE MULGREW: "My favorite memory is also the most daunting. The first shot, the first day, on the Bridge, which ended when I sat in the Captain's Chair and gave that order to end all orders - 'Engage' - thus stepping into science fiction history. Quite amazing."

TIM RUSS: "We were filming a scene in the briefing room during an episode of the show in which Ray Walston was guest starring. It was a seven page, grueling scene with tons of dialog which had been changed several times prior to shooting, thus Ray and a few of us were struggling through the lines. At one point, about halfway through the day, there was a moment while we were waiting for a lighting fix, and Ray spontaneously quoted a line from "Hamlet." Robert Beltran, who was also in the scene, quoted the next line from the play in return. The two of them then proceeded to recite almost the entire scene perfectly and effortlessly as the rest of us watched on in stunned silence. The moment ended with applause from the whole cast and crew. It was truly amazing." |
