?Dragons?s Teeth? :

?The story involves Voyager discovering an ancient civilisation in a nuclear winter which has been completely destroyed by weapons of mass destruction. But what we also discover is that there are hundreds of people in stasis deep beneath the surface of the ruins, along with hundreds of ships and technology and weapons. They did this on purpose. Knowing that they could be destroyed, they wanted to make sure that some of their people survived. But they programmed the stasis pods to open after five years. Unfortunately, there was a malfunction, and it's been 900 years.?   ?We begin to help these people, but what we don't know is that they were the Borg of their day. They dominated the Delta Quadrant, and they plan to come back again. The problem is that they have ships that are 900 years old. How are they going to do it? Well, needless to say, they need Voyager. It's a Pandora's Box story.?

?Dragon's Teeth was going to be a two-hour show, but when we got into the first hour, we realised it worked better as one hour. It wasn't enough of a story. So we just cut bait on the second hour and made it one hour. Then, as we were wrapping up the first hour, we realised, 'Boy, it really would make a great two hour,' but it was too late. But if these aliens do work out, we'll see them again.?

Another Two-hour Telemovie is on the way : ?I anticipate a [Co-executive Producer Joe] Menosky-Braga script. Joe and I have done five or six two-part or two-hour events now, and we'd like to do at least one more great one. It's become kind of a Voyager tradition. That's how we look at it. Every year we have to do at least one amazing two-hour or two-part show, and it will definitely happen. What the story will be, I don't know at this point. It's down the line now.?
