Alice

Tom buys a ship with a bioneural interface, that runs directly off the pilot's brain. Unfortunately the ship ("Alice") is possessed by evil, and makes Tom do self destructive things like break up with B'Elanna (not necessarily permanently - they did that in Vis A  Vis too). Think "Christine" in space.
