The Klarr make thier home on the planet Jokylt in the Chilken system. The Klarr are basically humans, since humanity is the dominant race in most of the Greater Galaxy.
The Klarr have spent millenia under the enslavement of Chilkit over lords. When the Chilkit stumbled onto the Klarr after just achieving space flight, they found a world of primitives, the most advanced of which were just starting to use agriculture.
The Chilkit loaded up troops and conquered the Klarr. The Klarr were conquered and subdued easily. Their conquerors moved all industry to Jokylt in an effort to keep the Chilkit homeworld of Chilken Prime pristine.
Finally, after millenia of this enslavement, the Klarr rose up against their Chilkit oppressors. They captured several key industries and shut them down. Life for the Chilkit ground to a screeching halt. After a three week stand off, a truce was signed and industry was relocated off-planet to orbital platforms over dead worlds in the outer solar system.
