The Haftel make their home on the planet Largo in the Kora system. Inhabiting only this one planet in the Federation because of century-old travel restrictions imposed by Chilkit officials. Human-looking, this species reproduces faster than any organism larger than a bacteria has any right to be doing. Recently, the Fab'Rini government officially abolished all the laws restricting Haftel travel and population control. The race only recently became a presence on other planets of the Federation.
These humanoids look roughly similar to humans, except for a large line of ridges that extend from the hairline down the bridge of the nose in a roughly hourglass shape.
The planet Largo is one huge grassland and prairie, extending all the way across continents. They make up about 1/7th of the whole population of the Federation, making them the overwhelming majority. Comparing their numbers to any other specie's numbers would be about 20 million to 1.
Large cities are located in every concievable point. They have almost totally over-run their planets biosphere, however whole continents are being designated wildlife parks and being evacuated now that the planet is open to all interstellar travel.
