History:: Mike completed high school and entered Starfleet as a recruit, despite his parent's wishes that he enroll at Starfleet Academy. Upon completion of basic training, Mike volunteered for SEAL training and was accepted into the program. After a two year intensive training stint, he was assigned to SEAL team #274 (Shadow Thunder). During his assignment with his SEAL team, Mike received the following Starfleet decorations:
After completing his tour of duty, Mike applied for Starfleet Officer Csndidate School and was accepted to the University of Minnesota's OCS program. He spent the next four years working on a double makor of Computer Science and Military Science, with a minor in Engineering.
Upon finishing school, Mike was commissioned as an Ensign in Starfleet, and was assigned as Chief Security/Tactical Officer aboard the USS Excalibur.
As of 2398.0406 Mike is now a member of the Marine Battalion that is attached to the USS Excalibur. He has been given the rank of Marine Captain, the equivalent of his Starfleet rank of Lieutenant.
Mike was quickly recommended for the first officer position when Captain Kell was given command of the Excalibur.
After the Excelser mission and the return of the Excalibur to Starbase Frontier, Mike was informed that he had been selected to command the newest ship commissioned by Starfleet, the USS Victory.
