The Herastrau Park

Huge park with a massive lake in the middle. The park is about 2km long by 1km wide, maybe more. It has boat rides, large green areas, forests, a ferry ground, night clubs, bars on the side of the lake, a waterfall, and it is splendid. The lake in this park is probably the main reason why Romania is the best in the world a rowing. ;-) You ocasionally see the sportsmen and women rowing up and down.

The main alley is about half a kilometer long, surrounded by a forest.
Further down the alley. You can see the lake in the background.
Looking back towards the entrance.

One of the side alleys going through the forest.
Me on a bridge going over to an island.
A water fountain. Refrshing to sit by it. It was very hot and humid that day.
Luke in an art gallery on the main alley. The prices were from £10 to £200 ($17-$340 or €14-€290) for a painting depending on the artist.
Boat rides are about 50 pence (85 US cents or 70 European cents) for a tour of the lake, about 30 minutes long.
Another island, but this one is isolated. You see couples rowing there. ;-)

A bar.
Luke drinking beer in the same bar but at night.
Me, Andra and Luke in another bar that same night.
