I love your Aurora model. I too was a collector of Aurora models, and I mean all of them, including all the classic horror characters, Godzilla, the prehistoric collecttion, and if I remember correctly, a Rodan and Ghidorah that came out in the mid-70's. Remember the glow-in-the-dark features. You've taken me back twenty years. Like you, I didn't save any of them. What a shame. Whatever happened to Aurora?

I'm 36 years old and I have loved the big G since I can remember...I was fiercly angry as a child to see Ghidra try to hurt my main monster and I cheered when Hedorah was reduced to a pile of inert slop after he faced the undisputed King of my daydreams, so I'll bet you can imagine my joy to find out that Godzilla is not only back, but he's back courtesy of the ID guys to boot! But my main thrill is to know that people like you have been keeping the faith alive for our children and those who arrive after them by keeping such a nice Godzilla site at thier disposal so they can experience the same kind of intense excitement I had s many years ago whenever I pre-screened the new TV guide or the movie section and found out that my week would include a visit with that enormous prehistoric elemental force who did exactly as he pleased, and at times seemed to be more humane than the hum ns that I knew, Godzilla, KING OF THE MONSTERS! Rob PS Incidentally, You're right about the Godzilla/monster merchandise...I didn't think there was that much stuff relating to our fire breathing friend in the world, let alone in your collection! I must compliment you on your dedication to Godzilla and the bvious love you have of sharing it with others, right down to the beginners guide in your presentation. My son loves Godzilla. He is 6 years old. We have bought him everything we can find of Godzilla. But we are sad to say that we cannot find a lot of the characters. Even most of the movies are not available. Some of the characters on your web page are new o us. We like the red Godzilla a lot. I hope that Trendmasters will come out with more of a selection. The two miniature playsets that we have are green and a slightly darker green with yellowish teeth. I would love to find the Space Godzilla set. I saw Godzilla King of Monsters when I was 9years old. I can still remember the theater, the way it smelled and looked. I can see myself from a remote viewer position experiencing the movie. Just like people know what the were doing when Kennedy was kille , I remember Godzilla that strongly. I want a Godzilla T-Shirt in anticipation of the upcoming movie, but I want the monster's image, not the Sony black Godzilla T shirt. Any help would be appreciated!

Cool, site! I am in my early 30's and a hardcore Godzilla fan ever since my parents took me to see "War of the Gargantuas" and "Monster Zero" on a double bill at the local drive-in in 1970. I have an original of the Aurora model, but some of the fingers have been broken off thru time. The paint job also isn't the best, cuz I was just a kid when I did it. Lately I've been collecting some of the new imported figures. Like you, I was amazed at the variety that is available nowadays, everything from Mech -Kong to Hedorah! Very nicely done. It would be nice to have more info and pictures of the TM Godzilla line, since they are the only readily-available items for US collectors. Hurry up and finish that Monogram kit; I have an unbuilt Aurora and I want to know what it should look like! Since you are on the G-list, I guess you know what's happening (or not happening, as the case may be) with Doom Island. If you have time, you might update this site to reflect that info. Overall, good site. Best thing about the plain black background is that it doesn't take eons to l ad up, unlike the more detailed wallpapers.
