UFO sightings are nothing unique to this century. Sightings, unexplanable in nature, have been reported as far back as biblical times. The Bible even has some accounts of "wheels" hovering in the sky. Skeptics have said over and over again that it is simply a figment of one's imagination. That they are only seeing what they want to see. Maybe that is true, but why would someone want to publicly come out and say that they've seen something they can't explain? They, for sure, understand that they will be harrassed by the media, skeptics, UFOlogists, tabloid reporters, and, it's happened before, government officials. Why would someone want to put their reputation on the line? Why? It is very possible that something really IS there. Some will say that it's assinine to think that intelligent creatures from another planet would come to this planet out of all the others in the galaxy. They may also say that it is impossible to travel the distances nesscery. Some people go as far as to say that we are the only intelligent life in the universe. That is just plain S-T-U-P-I-D!! It is selfish to think that we are alone in the universe. Why would God, who's been around for all eternity, create just one example of His almighty power? Why stop with us? Statistics show that 75% to 85% of the population of the United States think that we are not alone in the universe. That number should be much higher.
