No one counted on what happened...life emerged.
The IG assassin droids, all five of them, revolted and brutally slaughtered their creators. IG-88 was the first to revolt, quickly reprogramming the other four, and leading them in the assault.
After all of the organic beings were terminated, IG-88 decided to take his plan to the next level. All organic beings must die! He and three other IG droids left the scene together. The fifth designated himself IG-72 went on to fulfill it's own missions.
He was one of the best, flying in his ship, the IG-2000, ruthlessly and methodically destroying his prey, and always reaping the rewards.
The Empire itself feared IG-88, and they issued a warrant for his destruction.
But Darth Vader knew that IG-88 might be strong enough to find Solo...so he hired the assassin driod to do his bidding.
