What Is The DAI?
The Drakmärian Alliance International, or DAI, is a Star Trek-based science fiction/fantasy/horror fan club, but don't let that scare you!!! Although our club is based on the Star Trek universe, we are not simply a fanatical group of rabid fans who eat, sleep and live Star Trek. We are also working professionals with lives and families of our own. We are also not, strictly speaking, an exclusively Trek appreciation group.
We are a science fiction/fantasy/horror fan club for science fiction/fantasy/horror fans! Which means that whether you enjoy the current crop of programs on your television screens this season, such as Now & Again, The X-Files, The Others, or 3rd Rock from the Sun, classic programs such as The Invaders, Battlestar Galactica, or Doctor Who, current or classic films from The Day the Earth Stood Still to Independence Day, Japanese live action and animation like Speed Racer, Ultraman, or Project A-ko, or the novels of such noted authors as Anne Rice, Arthur C. Clarke, Stephen King, Isaac Asimov, Clive Barker or Michael Crichton—there is a place for you in the Alliance!
What Is Serendipity Station?
Serendipity Station is the official title given to Command Extension 2 of the Drakmärian Alliance International (DAI) Fan Club. Serendipity's main function is to serve as the local link between Alliance chapters in the Western Pennsylvania region and the DAI central chapter located in Eastern Pennsylvania. Serendipity maintains communications between DAI Central and local Alliance chapters, rendering any assistance that is required, promoting the Alliance as heavily as possible and helping to establish brand new DAI chapters within the region.
