Realise that there is never a situation in which you have "No Choice";
Sometimes the choice you wish to make is obvious, but it is still your choice,
and the consequences are still your responsibility.
Any communication is better than No communication.
Situations Differ.
Always try and see things from the other person's point of view: It may not mean you like them , but at least you will understand why they do what they do. Putting yourself in their place allows you to guess what they are likely to do next, and how they feel about the situation. Letting them know that you understand allows you to maintain communication, even in a hostile situation.
Expect to succeed. Expecting to fail will ensure you do just that.
