One of our few requirements is that you know how to write well. This doesn't mean we're requesting a slew of John Grishams or Michael Crichtons. Basically, we just want the posts to be readable. Spelling errors and punctuation mistakes are all right, since no one's perfect, but make sure it is not in an extreme. If you can read your post out loud without sounding awkward, then you probably did okay. Run-on sentences are annoying and difficult to understand, so please avoid them.
We do require that you treat other characters and especially us, the spiffy-keen GMs, with proper respect. That means this:
1. Do not beat up characters unnecessarily, nor put them down. Some people do tend to see the characters as a reflection of themselves, so be careful.
2. Don't criticize harshly. Suggestions are okay, but keep it kind.
3. Do NOT take control of another person's character except for the most minor of functions (i.e. a nod of the head). Basically, treat others as you would have them treat you.
4. NO CUSSING! If your character simply must use trashy words, use symbols to replace them, like @*#$&. This keeps it clean, and no one has to squirm.
5. Try to respond as much as possible. Every other day is recommended, but sooner is lovely!
