The Brujah are the most rebellious and antisocial of all clans. Its members forever search for the ultimate expression of their individuality. They are all rebels. They tend to be stubborn, ruthless, aggressive, sensitive to slights, and extremely vengeful. Brujah appear in a myriad of guises: punks, socialists, skinheads, beat poets, bikers, philosophers, rockers, goths, freaks, and anarchists. Members of the Brujah consider it their duty and right to challenge authority and the powers that claim it. Brujah possess a fierce hunger for freedom, and refuse to serve as others’ puppets. They fearlessly sink into chaos in their pursuit of change and transformation. Many in the clan believe Kindred society would be completely corrupt if not for them. Fanatical in their disparate beliefs, the only thing that unites the clan is its members’ desire to overthrow the system. Most are bullheaded crusaders of the worst sort, fanatically devoted to their causes and blind to any other shade of truth. This brings them closer to the Beast, but also drives them to great achievements. While they lack organization, Brujah are not without common purpose. Diversity is their strength, but they always answer the call of their brethren in times of need. Regardless of past antagonism, when the call is made the clan responds.
Disciplines: Celerity, Potence, Presence
Clan Advantage: Centuries of rebellion, sometimes in the face of insurmountable odds, have forged a powerful ‘us against them’ attitude among the member of the Brujah clan. Brujah are quick to side with their own, even at the risk of personal danger. Refusing a brother aid is frowned upon, and can result in the ostracism of the offender. Those who overuse or abuse the advantage will find themselves without aid when they truly need it. The exception to this are the anarch Brujah, who have their own informal social structure outside of the Camarilla. These Brujah, although they have no recognized or official status, still willingly answer the call when help is needed.
Clan Disadvantage: As a whole, the Brujah bloodline is cursed with an internalized rage and a hair trigger. While many spend their existence trying to come to grips with the destructive force within themselves, few if any have ever conquered it. Whenever a Brujah slips into a frenzy, she gives herself over entirely to it.
Organization: Among the Brujah, it would seem that might makes right. Any attempt to organize the clan would result in chaos because of the intrinsically rebellious nature of its members. Nonetheless, clan members are fiercely loyal to each other, especially when they rally behind a cause. Brujah meetings (known as Rants) are held frequently and often take place at concerts or raves. All vampires are invited to attend the Rants, but the violent nature of these gatherings usually deters all but the very brave or foolhardy.
Aditional: The Brujah are inheritors of a majestic and ancient legacy, which is unfortunate. Tonight's Brujah seem less like a clan and more like a mob. Punks, terrorists, revolutionaries, criminals, gangbangers and the like make up the Brujah; the clan seems to be united in nothing save its contempt for the institutions of vampire and mortal society. Well, this is not entirely true; Clan Brujah are among the most savage vampires, and the most trivial slight or annoyance may trigger a howling Brujah frenzy. The Brujah's disunity keeps the clan tenuously in the Camarilla, but Brujah thugs routinely defect to the anarchs, the better to strike against their hated elders. Even the "tamer" Brujah annoy the elders and princes routinely through acts of defiance and rebellion. Despite their recalcitrance, however, Brujah are valued as warriors; they are perhaps the most dangerous vampires in a straightforward battle. To anger a Brujah is nigh suicidal - and Brujah are notorious for their tempers.
