Thesian Brightstar

Music soothes even the most savage of beasts...

Thesian Brightstar is a bard that seems to be more reckless than others. While he lived in Mistledale, he had a successful career in playing for all the inns in the dale, and made a sizable amount of gold for it. One day however, Thesian just became bored with his provincial life-style, and decided that he needed to see something that was well known in the realms, and steal something from the place. His decision was the House of Mysteries in Elventree. It was the closest of the great wonders of the realms.

That night that he made the decision to leave, he snuck into the Riders of Mistledale's garrison, and stole a horse to ride to Elventree with. Obviously he wouldn't be able to return to Mistledale anytime soon, but this did not phase the half-elf. Thesian arrived in Elventree two nights later, ready for some fun.

When all of the Elventree folk had bed down for the night, Thesian crept from his inn room (which was high up in the upper canopy of trees, being an Elventree inn), and located Mystra's Temple. He crept in silently (or so he thought) and was just about to take a very powerful looking gem, when he felt a hard hit to the back of his head. Thesian then blacked out. Standing there over the prone bard was none other than Stumpwubble Dragonwort, the gnomish janitor of the temple, with his trusty hardwood broom.

Thesian was tried and convicted by a council headed by the Herald of Elvetree. He served a small prison sentence, high up in the trees, in what resembled a giant bird cage. He was then bound by law to assist Stumpwubble in his mission assigned by the Herald of Elventree. Thesian had now found a group with which to travel, see the world, and more importantly, get into trouble...
