Tal and Welcome to the Collar of Steel.
I am Telnius. My home is located in Ar. Let me tell you a little about my Home and myself.
There are four kettles of Blackwine
which are replaced as the day travels on.. There are another four kettles
of water for the serving of Tea when called for, and for the cleaning of
dishes. One kettle of Kal-Da is also on the hearth and is kept just at
the right tempererature, not being to hot. The slaves have the responsibility
of cleaning the dishes of those that she or he serves.
Along the far wall, running
half its length and centered, are located furs on which the slaves kneel
when not busy. On either side of the slave furs are two doors. The door
to the right is the entrance to Tel's Keep. It is used to speak with Master
Telnius privately about the hall, or something you may find needing to
be brought to his attention. When he is not present, you may speak to his
slave. The door to the left is the entrance to the slave kennels. In the
far back you will find many doors, each of which lead to the alcoves.
In the middle of the hall is the serving area with a small cooking hearth
and a warming rack in the middle of the area. From here, the slaves work
to prepare meals and beverages for your pleasures.
To be able to serve your Master/Mistress better, most kalana is kept at room temp, but a few are chilled. Those at room temperature may be served by placing ice into the goblet if you wish as it gives our Masters pleasure to watch a slave skillfully move about the serving area. The non chilled kalana is stacked into a rack to the left of the counters: red on top, white in the middle racks, and mixed on the bottom for your tasting pleasure. Chilled wine may be found in bins of ice on the right of the area. They are in bins which are refilled by the slaves.
Goblets and Mugs are located on the highest shelves, with a few under each counter around the serving area. The tea trays and three matching cups are located under the left counter. Cups are on the tray. The footed paga bowls are located about the serving area, on the second shelf under the goblets and mugs. Red and yellow sugars may be found about the counters and milk is resting in a small bin of ice or in a cooler which is located to the left of the serving area....
The ceiling of the hall disappears
above, at a lofty height of at least six men supported by a network of
thick, criss-crossing, roughly hewn beams. These, in turn, are supported
by vertical members at regular intervals running from the floor to the
ceiling, decorated only by thick iron rings to which a slave may be secured,
if it is the wish of a the patron. The floor is of tile placed in
intricate designs depicting Men doing battle and slaves giving pleasures.
