[Doctor Meadows' House]
MD2, 1:13 PM

"Doctor Meadows, am I to understand that visits from agents of the law are not uncommon at this house?" Agent Glass asked.

Dr. Meadows sat quietly for several seconds, the smile leaving his face. "Sir, you are a guest in my house. I do not appreciate your insinuation."

Agent Woods looked at Damian with raised eyebrows.

"I'm sorry, Doctor." Damian blurted after a few seconds of uncomfortable silence. "Actually we'd like some information about a patient in your care, a miss Jennifer Roberts."

"Miss Roberts is almost completely unresponsive. I have classified her condition as catatonic, not a coma because she has shown a slight response to some stimuli."

"Have you been able to determine what the cause of her condition might be?" queried Agent Woods.

"Well from what I've heard, there was quite a lot of commotion on the night she was found like that. I would not be suprised if it was an extremely severe case of shock."

Glass took out a pen and pad and began scribbling notes. "Do you believe that there is any way this state could have been deliberately caused by someone?"

A look of suprise sprang up on the doctor's face. "Well, I... I can't possibly imagine anyone... wanting to do that do a young girl!" he stammmered. "But I suppose a trained hypnotist could pull it off. That's really not my expertise, though..."

Agent Woods leaned forward with a delibarate look in his eyes. "Doctor, to your knowledge, is there any chemical or drug, legal or otherwise, which might be given to someone to create this state in a person?"

A bead of sweat rolled down the doctor's forehead. "I can not think of any. There are many prescription drugs which could cause this reaction for a while, but this girl has been like this for nearly a day!"

Both agents turned around in their seats as Mrs. Meadows opened the door. "I believe it is about time for you men to leave," she said flatly.

The agents exchanged looks.

"Do you have any more questions, Agent Woods?", Damian asked glancing at the agent.
