dock, for the past couple of months, because we've been
moving across country. We are finally back to work, so
start sending us sci-fi news, questions, url submissions,
and requests for membership again!

Summer Sci-Fi Blockbusters Update:
Armageddon, Deep Impact, Godzilla, X-Files...
What am I forgetting?

July 1998
Armageddon started in theaters this first
week of July! This is a must see, first rate movie.

Godzilla has been in theaters for a
little while now. If you haven't seen it yet,
don't waste your hard earned pay. I suggest
you wait until you can rent it on video.

It has been sugguested that we implement a shuttle
to Risa, a leisure planet from Star Trek. This is
a terrific sugguestion, however, we have been unable
to find a URL dealing with this planet. If you know
of one, please submit it to the Captain's Ready Room
and we'll take it from there. Thanks for the ideas!

September 1998
Star Trek; Deep Space Nine wasted no time replacing
Terry Farrell, who refused to re-sign for the show's 7th
and final season: This fall, Canadian Nicole deBoer joins
the cast as student shrink Ezri Dax, who like Farrell's
character Jadzia Dax, is a trill, a species consisting of
a humanoid host and a symbiont worm (in the season premier
Ezri will be implanted with the worm in order to save its life).

Star Trek Voyager's Jeri Ryan reports that her character,
Seven of Nine, will have a baby with the Doctor (Robert
Picardo), a hologram. Ryan explains that due to a
malfunction, her nanoprobes accidentally assimilate his
mobile emitter, and they have a spontaneous Borg child.
