---------------------------------------------
Medical Bay <Hunter HQ>
<Live News><Camera 1> A young reploid reporter is
on the screen, narrating as behind her wafts a huge cloud of
smoke. "This is Taffy Tangle, reporting to you from the
center of Robotropolis..." A loud explosion rocks the
background, and a building, barely visible through the smoke,
collapses in upon itself. "...Where a small force of
Mavericks are laying waste to everything in sight. As of yet,
Doctor Wily's robots have not yet appeared to oppose the rampant
reploids, who are led by a previously unidentifi..." Another
explosion goes off, this time much closer. The camera shakes from
the shockwave, and a *huge* form comes stomping out of the smoke.
Nearly the size of a Ride Armor, it's armor shines maroon and
navy blue. Each fist holds a glowing energy blade in it, and a
pair of smaller gun-arms (each with its own buster-style cannon)
swivel just above the main arms. Jets as large as the reporter's
body run along the monster's back. And, in the center of it all,
is the face of Sigma, wearing General's hat.
On the ground, the reporter trembles in fear as the titan looms overtop of her.. and extends a hand. "We are Sigma, Lord of the Reploid race. We extend to you the hand of freedom. Join us, our minion. We have use for you." The small-framed femme can't even speak, only shake her head slightly, while scrambling backwards to escape. A rod snaps out of Sigma's hand, and suddenly ignites into an energy scythe. "Then I give you your freedom." And, with a lightning-fast snap of the wrist, he slices the poor reporter in half. She doesn't even realize it's done, until her lower torso stops scrambling with the rest of her. Ignoring her, Sigma's other monsterous hand reaches out and grabs the tiny camera-bot by the head, completely enveloping it in his palm. "We extend to you the same choice." The little joe simply says, "Nerp.", and Sigma - Kaiser Sigma - nods. "Then follow us, and record our victory."
Kyo-Ohki goes back to snugging Twila. After a few moments she catches on a secent of someone else within the room and peers at the cyborg patient...and lets out a questioning "Yip?". A paw is pointed towards his direction as she looks at twila.
However...Twila's direction drifts to the nearby monitor picking up news feed. She blinkblinks openly and then rushes out of the center with Kyo within her arms.
Seminole stares blankly at the monitor's news feed, as he lets go of the mop. Before the *thunk* of it hitting the floor is heard, Seminole is out the door.
<Soon...>
Command Center <Hunter HQ>
Monitors and computer consoles line the walls of this cavernous
room. In the center of the room is a round computer with
holographic display, its lights flashing busily as it processes
information about mavericks, and their last known sittings.
Computers along the walls are also occupied with an
information-processing task. Technicians and other Maverick
Hunters run about hastily, monitoring the computers, and making
sure the information is as accurate as it can be. The whole air
of this room exudes purpose and drive, and the hustle and bustle
seems neveriending. On the south wall are two large bulletproof
windows which gives you a view of the rooftop runway and Hangar
Area. A large blast door in the middle of the two windows, giving
easy access to the landing strip.
(Ch. B []) Twila Peterson transmits: 'Uh...guys...anyone else
tuned into the news channel?'.
(Ch. B [GoodGuy-Central]) Michael Eildath transmits: '<sounds
like he just got up.> Huh? Oh, crap...'.
(Ch. B []) Seminole transmits: 'All available Hunters, assemble
in the Command Center, now!'.
(Ch. B []) Rock transmits: 'Hmm?'
(Ch. B []) Twila Peterson transmits: 'Rock...Kaiser Sigma is
laying waste to Robotropolis.'.
(Ch. B []) Rock transmits: 'WHAT?!'.
Twila Peterson is already at a console openly staring at the images that are being shown...
Rock heads on in; his armor is still blasted and trashed from yesterday. At least he cleaned his face and brushed his hair. A burn mark graces his left cheek, as he moves to stand behind Twila.
Seminole just got off the gravlift, and his already in his armor. He moves toward the middle of the room, watching the news feed on the main monitor. "You heard her, Rock," Sem emits gravely, ".. Orders?"
Rock frowns, setting his helmet aside. He watches the carnage for a few moments... unsure of what to do....
Twila Peterson turns towards the newcomers rather distractedly and points to the screen while Kyo starts to mew pathetically. "Apparently Kaiser Sigma and the Mavericks are attacking Robotropolis. It's currently being broadcasted..." Anything for ratings...
<Live News><Camera 1> Lunar Dragon finaly comes into view, a blurred shape of black with his wings folded about him to shield from the heat his speed causes. As he comes near street level and the fleeing crowds of humans he snaps his wings open and roars over their heads at at /least/ mach 2 while roaring blue-hot flame that broils several instantly and causes severe burns on many more.
<Live News><Camera 1> Yet another building topples
in the background as the Kaiser speaks. Dust rips from its
fountains accompanying a spray of glass and various other tidbits
of debris. From this, an immense, echoing clank can be heard.
Then another, and another, until the massive form of Goliath
emerges from the settling smoke and dust. Its pilot, which
'nearly' passes for the Vile of present day, watches calmly upon
the chaos in which he is so faithfully helping to bring about. A
reality which could not be imagined, yet could.
The calm, steady hand of the Magistrate shifts, causing Goliath
to lash out its immense fury upon another structure. Motion so
simple, so fluid; yet so deadly ... He says nothing, nor ventures
any thought on the matter. It is not his place to speak: For now.
Michael Eildath leaps into a computer station and begins typing furiously.
Seminole crosses his arms over his chest as he watches the main monitor, broadcasting no doubt pirated images from the Robot Master island. He glances back to Rock, frowning. "See for yourself... Why aren't the Masters responding?"
Twila Peterson is already at one of the terminals, so goes about trying to do so...although it's not easy. Every now and then she flicks a glance back towards what's being broadcasted, horrified. *Sure* she would have loved to have seen that city burned to the ground. But what about all the unfortunate, duped citizens tha are currently there. "It's not easy. It's total chaos there..."
<Live News><Camera 1> A blur streaks in from the teleport chambers, travelling well above mach along the ground. Streaking through crowds of fleeing humans, blood spurts out among them, blades bared along its sides. As it passes through the crowd, having felled several humans already, it turns and skids to a halt...Revealing itself as the form of Overdrive Ostrich, arm-blades and arms laden with blood. "Yippy kai-eye kai-aye!" he cries, grinning widely and cackling. He spreads his legs and arms out, shifting to the left and right as the humans flee from him, waiting to dash back through.
(Ch. B []) Rock transmits: 'Alright. Hunters, respond to the crisis at Robotropolis. DO NOT ENGAGE, just evacuate the civilians. Engage if you AHVE to.'.
Dischord appears after her first try (REALLY!) and yawns just hovering there in the air, looking around. .oO(What's the big deal about the Mavs hitting there? If they both kill eachother, then what's the problem?)Oo.
Michael Eildath says, "There's Wily's boys."
<Live News><Camera 1> Kaiser Sigma continues to rampage through the city. The little camera-joe follows him around, sweeping left and right to get a good angle on things. Sigma's every step is accompanied by two loud booms - one of his footfall and the other of something around him exploding. Slowly, the mighty dictator enters the very center of the city, approaching the marble statue of Dr. Wily that stands there. For a moment, he pauses, examining the art as humans scream in the background. Then, he pulls back the scythe, and cuts the statue in half, shoulder to hip. The mad Doctor's upper torso wobbles and falls, shattering on the ground. Kaiser Sigma kicks the rest of it over with his Size 82-Wide boot, and grinds the marble into dust with his heel. "Our Mavericks! Lay waste to the entire island! Leave no flesh unscarred!" He twists his body, and the gun-arms sweep an energy beam across the area. Civilians - human and reploid alike - flee in terror, but they can only run, not hide.
(Ch. B [Back-Up]) Aria transmits: 'If they are endangering
civilians, do we have permission to engage?'.
(Ch. B []) Rock transmits: 'If you have no other choice,
Aria...'.
Seminole just sighs as he resumes watching the destruction unfold, tapping his foot against the floor. He glances back at Mike, then resumes watching the monitor. "Do you want to contact the Repliforce?"
Twila Peterson starts to move Kyo from her lap. "You'll need someone there who knows First Aid while the civilians are being transported."
Rock looks at Twila. "Alright...be careful, huh?" He slides his helmet on, regardless of his unhealed damage.
(Ch. B []) Rock transmits: 'Take the Vorpal...'.
Michael Eildath nods. "I'll give them a ring."
<Live News><Camera 1> Lunar Dragon comes to the end of the stretch and, after fireing several vollies of talon darts into a building... which promptly gets its side blown out... before looping through the air and hovering before the fleeing masses, his huge reptilian form giveing them pause even in this chaos, and unleashes volley after volley of missiles, lasers, and the flames that are his most powerful weapon into the masses.
(Ch. C [LiT-Free]) Michael Eildath transmits: 'Repliforce, you guys on the wire?'.
Twila Peterson nods. Hey...isn't she always careful?
Kyo starts chasing after Twila as the girl starts heading to the hanger outdoors...but stops as the door closes just as she gets there. "Mew?? MEW!!!" She starts pawing at it fanatically. <Don't leave me!!!>
(Ch. C []) General transmits: 'Hunters, mobilize your forces. There is little Repliforce can do without United Nations sanction and in this case Wily's sovereignty of his own land is working against him. While I am working on mobilizing humanitarian efforts we will not be able to engage the Kaiser or Mavericks without sanction from the U.N. council... This task I leave to you.'.
Rock stoops to lift the cabbit, and put her on the table. "Not this time. You need to stay here."
(Ch. C []) Rock transmits: 'Already done, General.'.
Dischord just blinks as she hovers there, hoping no one notices her, after all she was hired to fight, not to play babysitter to Civs, but eventually she coughs, "Where to X?"
Kyo-Ohki sniffles and then just starts bawling...not knowing what else to do...
(Ch. B []) Seminole transmits: 'The Vorpal needs a pilot.'.
Michael Eildath turns. "Give 'er to me, Rock." He smiles. "Looks like I'm playing radio jockey for now."
<Live News><Camera 1> The gleaming, immense form
of Goliath twists around just enough. There, the shifted helm of
the Magistrate, equally gleaming, emits in a grating, yet calm
tone, "As you wish, Kaiser.." His helmet slowly turns
forward once more, slightly angled toward the sky.
"Goliath.. Your fury. Your power. Your rage.. That which has
laid dorment -- Come forth and smite this land!" A loud,
piercing hum can be heard about this time. Goliath, as if it were
complying by its own will, rears up to full height and begins a
rampage far greater than that before. Arms lash, spikes lance
across structures and they topple, one-by-one. Admist all of
this, as if this were all a grand show to be enjoyed and smiled
upon, the Magistrate sits ...
...A single, red optic piercing the darkness...
Rock loks at Dischord, "Go to Robotropolis. Evacuate civilians, but do NOT engage unless neccessary." He still has major damage, as he turns and dashes into the teleporter. But, not boefore handing Kyo to Mike.
Michael Eildath nods. "Be careful out there, boss."
(Ch. B [None]) Dischord transmits: 'That big flying thing? If
it has wings I can fly it, and take a few people out at the same
time.'.
(Ch. B []) Rock transmits: 'Is anyone taking the Vorpal?'.
(Ch. B []) Twila Peterson transmits: 'Only if there's a pilot.'.
Kyo-Ohki sniffs, still looking pleadingly up towards Rock. "M-e-w???"
Rock shakes his head at Kyo, then leaves.
(Ch. B []) Seminole transmits: 'Then please come here,
Dischord.'.
(Ch. B []) Rock transmits: 'Dischord, can you pilot?'.
Dischord blinks as Rock leaves, and shakes her head, before heading towards the hangar.
Stepping through the Lift doors, the Aria hears everything she needs to and without another word, she heads for the teleportation platform without acknowledging anyone or anything else that may be in the room trying to get her attention. She has greater matters to attend to.
Michael Eildath smiles at Kyo. "Don't worry. Twila will be fine."
Kyo-Ohki squirms within Mike's grasp and whimpers. She's apparently frightened by these turn of events...afraid her mistress isn't coming back.
Feedback walks out of the lift yawning looking like he just woke up wobbling as he walks along, "Hey, whats with all the chatter and everything? You'd think someone just dropped a bomb somewhere."
(Ch. B [None]) Dischord transmits: 'I can fly. How well depends on what people start throwing at me.'.
Michael Eildath spins. "Feedback, Kaisers trashing Robotropolis. We're moving out."
Michael Eildath facepalms. "Feedback, civilians are DYING out there!"
(Ch. B []) Rock transmits: 'Get moving. I'll be right behind. Feedback, this includes you...'.
Kyo-Ohki squirms a bit more. <Lemme go! I needa be with Twila!> She then starts crying again. Poor, poor confused lil cabbit.
Feedback grumbles and looks around trying to get his bearings, "Yeah, I know. Man, this is the second time in a week I've been on evac duty. And I haven't gotten a good 4 hour sleep in days. This bites. Just gimme a sec to grab a cup of coffee or something before I go. I'm going I'm going."
<Live News><Camera 1> Kaiser Sigma turns his gaze around, looking towards the Masters and their goons that stream out of the Symphony. A gigantic smile creeps onto his face - which should tell you that he's up to something, and something very, very evil. "Ah, perfection. Just as we predicted, Wily's slaves appear to protect their false paradise. And without that coward Forte, no less." His feet slide apart slowly, widening his stance. "We welcome your pitiful challenge." Projectiles and small energy blasts from the RM Joes fly at him, and simply bounce off his huge armor. "But be patient. We shall attend to each of you in turn." The buster-arms swivel left and right, still firing small blasts, easilly obliterating various Joes. "Who shall first taste freedom from the hands of Kaiser Sigma?"
(Ch. B []) Feedback transmits: 'Whatever. Just gimme a second to wake up. I'll be right behind you guys.'.
Rock gives the cabbit a comfort scritch, then blinks. "Oh dear..." Sigma, on the monitors. Yay. Turning, he jams out of the command center.
<Donachi Dist.> Rock comes out of the Labs, in full X armour; the armour is damaged, showing blast and burn marks.
<Donachi Dist.> There's a bright flash of red light suddenly, directly in front of Light Labs. When the beam of light strikes the pavement, it almost immediately coalesces into the form of Sigma.. or is it? The Reploid that is currently on the ground in front of Light Labs is missing a right arm and a left leg, the pruple and red armor of his scarred beyond belief, great rents torn in the metal, blackened and charred metal over most of the frame. The grim visage that looks up from his reploid is definitely that of Sigma's though with an optic completely dysfunctional and most of the flesh-looking material covering his metallic face gone, Sigma looks quite hideous. Electricity sparks along his frame, yellow and blue arcs of electricity racing over his body, threatening to short him out. It seems that only by sheer force of will is he conscious even now.
(Ch. A [Rock]) Twila Peterson transmits: 'Godspeed out there,
Rock.'.
(Ch. A [Hunters]) Rock transmits: 'Thanks. Be careful.'.
<Donachi Dist.> Rock frowns at Sigma's sudden appearance, as well as at his condition. "My word... what happened to you...?" he mutters, walking over to kneel and look at Sigma.
Michael Eildath pets Kyo. "There, there... just stay calme, Kyo-Ohki. It'll be alright."
<Donachi Dist.> Sigma pushes himself up from the ground, the strain of doing so obvious on his face. If he could sweat, he would be dripping in perspiration right now as he holds himself propped up, his arm shaking slightly with the effort. Looking up at Rock, the grisly visage stares right into Rock's eyes, "The Kaiser did this to me, X."
<Donachi Dist.> Rock frowns. No wonder all those Mavericks were following Kaiser Sigma... "I know he's here...he stole your troops, didn't he?" He resists the urge to drag sigma into the base...and just kneels there, looking at Sigma, unsure.
Kyo-Ohki sniffles and seems to settle as she continues to be petted. However, her small frame is still trembling underneath the man's hands.
<Donachi Dist.> Sigma snarls, rage appearing on his face, something normally uncharacteristic for the Maverick Commander. However, right as he's about to make an angry statement, his systems shock him again, electricity coursing through him, his arm bending, almost dropping him completely to the ground in his current state. However, he manages to stay barely aloft until the surge passes, moving himself back to a more stable position. Looking up at X, there is no sign of anything but determination on his face. His vocal cords are more scratchy now, though in meaning, his words are strong, "I can not blame them. They think that I am dead, and the Kaiser is more powerful that I would have believed, X." He pauses for a moment, his one good optic again locking gazes with X, holding him there by sheer force of will, "He is mad, X. He will destroy all of reality before he is done with his plan."
<Donachi Dist.> Rock frowns. "His plan? What is the plan?" He ponders... darnit, he sent everyone to evac. Looks like he'll be either chancing a call to a Maverick, or having Rick repair him. "And I know he's mad... X has told me what you'll become, Sigma..."
Michael Eildath watches the TV and cameras, petting Kyo
nervously. "I should be out there, Kyo. Where are
they?"
Kyo-Ohki sniffs and anwers with a soft, shaky, "Mew"
<Donachi Dist.> Sigma snarls, his face contorting once more, "I will -not- become as that! He is nothing but a tyrant and a power-mad fool! One that has managed to amass power that is too great for him to control. It is -he- who is controlled by the power he weilds." He falters once again, sparking badly, blue electricity coursing through his metallic body, the arcs practically jumping off his frame as Sigma grits his teeth against the pain, "If you have sent any of your Hunters against the Kaiser, pull them back! He is too powerful to confront with a small force."
<Donachi Dist.> "They aren't to engage... they are to evacuate humans..." He frowns, "Are any of your Mavericks still loyal to you?" He notes the rest of the faction will be p-o'ed if he has Sigma treated here.
Michael Eildath turns, face pale as he spots a newcomer. "Heya, Rick."
<Donachi Dist.> Sigma looks up at X with a steely gaze, "I do not know. I would assume that there are still Mavericks that would not follow the Kaiser." He grits his teeth again as another electricul surge races through him, "..And it is too risky for me to go back to my Mavericks now. The Kaiser thinks I am destroyed, and my Mavericks probably assume the same. It would be unwise for me to give away any advantage we may have against the Kaiser by making my presence known."
<Donachi Dist.> A cough emits from the Hunter CO. "Then we'll have ot have you repaired and kept here..." he says, full of false confidence. .oO(I'm brain dead...)Oo. He moves to pick up Sigma, and tries to heft him to carry inside and deposit in a forcefield-wrapped medbay.
Rick Morgan enters then at a quick pace, stopping right then to bring his attention to the ruckus going on in Robotropolis. He offers only the barest of acknowledgments in Mike's direction, not even noticing the other monitors nearby.
Kyo-Ohki slumps within Michael's arms...just before she notices Rick. She darts out and races up to the cyborg, pawing at his legs, begging to be picked up as if her very life depended on it. "Mewmew *sniff* mew!"
<Donachi Dist.> Sigma lets X help pick him up until Sigma is standing, rather awkwardly, one his single leg, his arm held against X's shoulder for support, though the Maverick Leader still stands twice the Hunter's size. However, before he's willing to move towards the Hunter Base, he firms his grip on X's shoulder, "First things first. In this, we are allies. I would call a temporary truce between us until such time as this menace is dealt with, X." Electricity coursing through him yet again, he grits his teeth, "You may keep me detained within a designated section of your base, but I request to help destroy the Kaiser's plan." His face grows dark, and with his massively scarred visage, the look is all that much more menacing and frightening, "This mad man will not steal my Mavericks from me and attempt to carry on with his mad plan. He -will- be stopped." The last statement certainly sounds like Sigma is extremely confidant, despite his situation. And, in an odd way, it's somewhat comforting to think of him on your side for once.
Rick Morgan blinks as he then feels the pawing at his legs, and glances down. Hoo-boy. Wordlessly, he leans over to scoop the cabbit into his arms, straightening up and setting her in the crook of his elbow as usual, and gently petting her with his free hand now. "Well look at the bright side, things can't get much more active..."
Donachi Dist.> Rock nods at Sigma, helping the hobbling Maverick toward the base. "As long as you don't object to the detainment while we heal you, even though we ARE having a truce... we won't fire on your troops, and yours won't fire on us; and you're free to help defeat the Kaiser." He resists a shudder at the scarred face, and says, "We'll see if we can find any Mavericks that didn't defect... I doubt Vile would..."
Kyo-Ohki nuzzles against Rick's skin, trying to find some measure of solace.
Michael Eildath nods, glaring at Kyo. "You traitor," he taunts the cabbit.
Rick Morgan tilts his head to the side and smirks ever so slightly. "Guess it helps being related to Twila..." he returns in a bit of jest. Finding a chance for it even -now-.
<Donachi Dist.> Sigma limps along with much aid, though he does manage to find the reserves to continue along. Looking down at X, his face is grim, though once again, you can see the sheer determination. "Once I am restored, I believe I may have a way to contact some Mavericks that may still be loyal to me. ..If they are where I think they are. We shall have to see."
Michael Eildath shakes his head. "I swear, I hang around with that cabbit for months, and what does he betray me for?" He cracks a grim smile. "Family. There's just no trusting some pets." He finally cracks a real smirk.
(Ch. B []) Rock transmits: 'Be warned... we've got a vistor,
under a truce flag, guys.'.
(Ch. B [GoodGuy-Central]) Michael Eildath transmits: 'For the
record, boss, I think you're crazy, but you're the boss.'.
(Ch. B []) Feedback transmits: 'Hold on there Rock. I've got this
ringing in my ears. One of my alarms just went off. Gimme a sec
to see whats going on.'.
(Ch. B []) Twila Peterson transmits: 'Er....any hints as to
who?'.
(Ch. A [Hunters]) Rock transmits: 'Sigma...'.
(Ch. B []) Rock transmits: 'Yeah, I think I'm crazy too. But, he's injured and he proposed the truce...'.
Rick Morgan of course glances up as the warning klaxons announce the presence of the newcomer. His eyes then widen...
(Ch. B []) Rick Morgan transmits: 'Don't take this the wrong
way Rock but...are you NUTS? It's one thing to agree not to
attack them but you're bringing him into this base!?'.
(Ch. B []) Feedback transmits: 'Wait a sec. I sure hope that
somethings wrong with my alarms. Says that we've got an intruder
in the base...What were you saying again Rock?'.
(Ch. B []) Rock transmits: 'Just trust me.'.
(Ch. B []) Rick Morgan transmits: 'Darmit....and I suppose you're
going to be wanting him to be fixed.'.
<SensorA> Rock hobbles Sigma in. "Lots of people are getting angry... be warned." He continues to help Sigma toward the gravlift.
(Ch. B []) Rock transmits: 'Ayup...'.
(Ch. B []) Twila Peterson transmits: '...'.
(Ch. B []) Rock transmits: 'To the point he won't DIE... I want
you, while you're doing it, to turn his weapons off.'.
<SensorA> Sigma continues to half-limp along, looking at the halls of Light Labs as he's lead in the most direct path to the Medbay, he's sure. Looking over and down at X, he grits his teeth with another wave of electricity, his one good optic dimming for a short bit before lighting up again, "What has X told you of the Kaiser..?" At the news Rock imparts to him, Sigma's face remains impassive, "That is to be expected, X. I did not expect any less coming here, but I know that if we are to defeat the Kaiser, my best chance came in coming here, to you."
(Ch. B []) Rick Morgan transmits: 'Yer going to owe me for
this one Rock....'.
(Ch. B []) Rock transmits: 'Don't I already owe you about
three?'.
(Ch. B []) Rick Morgan transmits: 'The only reason I'm even going
to do this and NOT shut him down permanently is cause you're
asking...'.
(Ch. B []) Feedback transmits: '.....Okay, I'm just not going to
comment on this one over the radio. I'll be sure to figure
everything out when I get those test results to you guys.'.
Kyo-Ohki shudders at the klaxons and just...stays there in Rick's arms...
(Ch. A [Rock]) Twila Peterson transmits: 'Ok...but he expects
any bedtime stories while in medbay...forget it.'.
(Ch. A [Hunters]) Rock transmits: 'I don't expect you to.'.
(Ch. A [Rock]) Twila Peterson transmits: '(background filled with
the symphony of utter chaos) Uh...it was a small joke. *mumbled*
Oh, boy...'.
<SensorA> Rock nods lightly, "X told me that Kaiser managed to defeat the Hunters because of the Mavericked Repliforce..." He continues onward, and says, "The Kaiser leads the Maverick Army, but Vile does more... Kaiser's insane, as we've both gathered. There's basically it." He taps a button on the gravlift, and hobbles Sigma in.
Rick Morgan turns without another word and begins to move off as quickly as he can....
Kyo-Ohki immedaitely darts out into a ventalation shaft, knowing where Rick's going...
(Ch. B [GoodGuy-Central]) Michael Eildath transmits: 'Okay,
guys. Status report.'.
(Ch. B []) Feedback transmits: 'Okay, um. Lets see, where to
start. Us evacing those civies. Big ol' fight between the
Mavericks and Robot Masters. Um, what else do you need to know?'.
(Ch. B []) Rock transmits: 'Sigma's also on his way to the medbay
at hunter HQ.'.
(Ch. B []) Twila Peterson transmits: 'The Vorpal is here, just
arrived. Cordinates *** *** to know eher to direct the
civilians.'.
(Ch. B []) Feedback transmits: '.....Rock, when I get back. I
think that theres a few things that we need to discuss. Also
wanna show you that recording of what Bass said last night, if
you wanna see what he said that is.'.
(Ch. B []) Rock transmits: 'Alright, Feed.'.
(Ch. B []) Feedback transmits: 'Okay, I hear ya, Twila. I'll
start sending over some people for you to take a look at in a
bit.'.
(Ch. B []) Twila Peterson transmits: 'Got it.'.
(Ch. B [GoodGuy-Central]) Michael Eildath transmits: 'Guys,
things are looking grim in Robotropolis. How're things in the
lab?'.
(Ch. B []) Rock transmits: 'Peachy so far... no firing yet.'.
<Meanwhile, within the grav lift, X has joined Rock and Sigma...>
Grav Lift <Hunter HQ>
A more or less common elevator with an advanced suspension
system, large enough to allow all but the largest Reploids elbow
room. A small control panel lists destinations.
Forcing himself to turn away, X clenches his fist tightly, with so much force that it would turn his knuckles white if he were human. "I've heard that before, Sigma. The preaching, the unwavering belief, but it's all a delusion. The virus is eating away at you slowly. I thought that maybe seeing Viris would've awakened you to that. No reploid is immuned to it, not even poor Iris was immuned and she didn't have a single spark of evil in her entire body. Now look at her. That's what _you_ did to her." Slamming his fist into the wall, he makes a slight dent in the surface, letting his head drop so that he's gazing at the cold surface of the floor, "It's what I did to her. So don't try to tell me you can't end up like the Kaiser. Maybe you don't believe it, if I were Rock I wouldn't believe it either, but it's true. It happened on my world. Every time you even consider killing someone from now on, Sigma, look at Iris. And remember my world."
Rock frowns. He still doesn't say anything, watching the exchange quietly.
Sigma snarls just slightly, placing his one hand back on Rock's shoulder for support as another ripple of electricity passes through him, the arcs blue as they race along his frame painfully. His good optics flickers out for a moment before coming back into focus, "You are right, X.. I could turn out to be like the Kaiser. But having seen him, I will destroy myself before I will allow such an atrocity to occur." Gritting his teeth, his determination is almost overpowering, sheer force of will keeping him anywhere near coherent and on his one foot, "You know nothing of the Virus of which you speak, X. Yes, your Iris has become twisted and warped.. but it is not the Maverick Virus that has made her so. It has been, and always shall be, her inner demons that has turned her into the Lady Viris. Pain and suffering takes a very serious toll on a person.. and from what I know, she has suffered the most of all of us. Perhaps even more than you have." His one eye narrows for a moment, "Perhaps, after we obliterate the Kaiser, you will have your chance to set things right again, X. I..." and he falters for a moment, not having the words. Wait... -Sigma- doesn't have words? Definitely something different here, as he continues, his voice low, though quite clear, "I am sorry for your loss, X. I always hoped that you would see the truth." You can sense the genuine sympathy from Sigma, despite the fact that his actual words may not seem like he is genuinely regretful. But despite everything he has seen, he still firmly believes his cause is just.
(Ch. A [Rock]) Twila Peterson transmits: 'Rock, you holding
up?'.
(Ch. A [Hunters]) Rock transmits: 'Yeah...'.
(Ch. A [Rock]) Twila Peterson transmits: 'When you get the
chance: place right hand on left shoulder, left hand on right
shoulder, squeeze and consider yourself tightlt hugged.'.
(Ch. A [Hunters]) Rock transmits: '*chuckle* I'll do that, but
I'd rather have a hug from you.'.
(Ch. A [Rock]) Twila Peterson transmits: 'Next chance I see you,
I promise. That help?'.
(Ch. A [Hunters]) Rock transmits: 'Much. :)'.
(Ch. A [Rock]) Twila Peterson transmits: 'Love you. Remember
that...always.'.
(Ch. A [Hunters]) Rock transmits: 'Love you too.'.
(Ch. B []) Twila Peterson transmits: 'Dischord, how fill is
the ship so far?'.
(Ch. B []) Feedback transmits: 'Hey, should I start sending these
guys over to the teleporters now? Or do we still have room to
take some back with us?'.
(Ch. B [None]) Dischord transmits: 'Well considering that this
thing can hold a couple of rides, we're doing okay.'.
(Ch. B [None]) Dischord transmits: '*Growl* But considering the
fact that there's a ride still in here, I guess it's time to go
for the moment.'.
(Ch. B []) Rick Morgan transmits: 'Hey, how was I supposed to
know the ship was gonna become an evac unit?'.
Taken by complete and utter surprise, X hears the words he _never_ thought he would hear from Sigma...an apology. Lowering his hand, he turns and just gives the Maverick leader a look hatred that would pierce the very walls of the lift if he had the power. But the burning anger quickly fades into a sigh that escapes from his mouth, "I...never thought I would hear those words, especially not from you. When I first came here, I thought I finally had my chance...my chance to fix the past and set my world right. But now, I know for sure that this isn't my world at all." Pausing, he loosens his fist and lets his arms relax at his sides once more, before he continues, "You're right, Sigma. You're not the Kaiser. And I appreciate the sentiment, but you don't need to apologize for things you didn't even do. I guess I was judging you prematurely because you share a face. But you're not him anymore than I'm Megaman. Do you know what I've always wanted? Peace. That's all. Before Dr. Light made me a warrior, I was just his helper, like Roll. And all I ever wanted was to create a world where everyone could know the peace and happiness I had for that brief time. But that's impossible for my world now. The best I can do now is fight Kaiser and protect what little humans are left on my world."
Sigma nods to X firmly, his gaze held on the future (somewhat) X, looking down at him steadily, "And I will do my best to help you and the other Hunters turn back the Kaiser, or destroy him if we can. I am sure I can convince my Mavericks to do the right thing in the end. Our causes are not as different as you might think. I also, want peace, as well as freedom and equality. But this discussion may be for another time. As of this moment, we have planning to do if we are going to take care of the Kaiser." Suddenly, without any warning whatsoever, Sigma's optic finally goes black as one last surge of electricity arcs over his body. In so many seconds, his whole frame suddenly becomes dead weight, pitching down towards the floor of the Grav Lift.
Kaiser Sigma misses Magna Bass with his Sigma Scythe attack.
Rock catches him. "GAH!"
(Ch. B []) Rock transmits: 'Rick, get to the medbay... now.'.
<At Robotropolis...>
=========================== Vorpal VTOL <Airship> ============================
The inside of the Vorpal is not very spacious, but there is
just the bare minimum of equipment and seating to maximize that
space. Benches with safety straps line the walls, with several
tow cables placed near the rear and side portals. The cockpit can
be sealed off from the rest of the cabin, should the need arise,
and an auxilliary gunner's chair sits about midship. Sacrificing
speed for weaponry, the Vorpal is primarily a dropship and not
designed for heavy combat.
Twila Peterson helps the last of the immediate group into the craft and heads on in.
(Ch. B [None]) Dischord transmits: 'All aboard!!!!'.
(Ch. B [GoodGuy-Central]) Michael Eildath transmits: 'Guys,
hurrya up and get outta there before Bass and Sigma tear the
place apart!'.
Dischord mutters something under her breath as she presses a few more buttons, "Everyone strap in!"
Twila Peterson blinkblinks...not expecting for the one to enter the craft to...enter the craft along with some of the others. Some of the civilians try to push themselves back. Twila, intakes a sharp breath as she rises from the one she's currently tending...then remembers the cease fire between the two groups. "Bass?" she murmers.
The form of Magna Bass sets down just inside the Vorpal's huge ramp, not looking for any sort of invitation. Nor does he care for that matter. As his feet touch down, he demerges from his canine companion, whom immediately slumps down onto the floor of the ship, half-unconscious in the process. Bass himself actually falters, and places one hand on the floor to hold himself up. "You were expecting the Easter bunny...?" he grunts in mild annoyance.
(Ch. B [GoodGuy-Central]) Michael Eildath transmits: 'Looks
like the Masters are /all/ running for it. Gosh, the newscasters
have more courage than they do.'.
(Ch. B []) Twila Peterson transmits: 'Anything for ratings.'.
(Ch. B [None]) Chain transmits: 'Hey, yer stare down Kaiser Sigma
and Vile 'n see how 'ell yer do, Eildath...'.
(Ch. B [GoodGuy-Central]) Michael Eildath transmits: 'If I wasn't
playing desk jockey, whaddya think I'd be doing?'.
Bass breathes heavily, giving a glance over in Treble's direction, noting his companion's comatose state. A brief flicker crosses his features, perhaps the faintest hint of worry finally betrayed. But he quickly steels back to his normal scowl, and moves to gently take hold of Treble's form, and haul him further into the ship, finally straightening up in the process then, though still heavily drained as well.
<After the Vorpal releases the civilians they hold and return back home...>
Rooftop Runway <Hunter HQ>
While it bears a fancy name and important function, this chamber
is really no more than a glorified garage where the vehicles and
Ride Armor sit when not in use or while being maintenanced. Large
storage closets are against the back wall, directly across from
the hangar doors which lead out into the Neo Tokyo sky.
Feedback sighs and stows his camera and looks over at their unexpected passenger. He's a bit on edge right now, but really too tired to care really. Besides, not like he's going to do much in this situation. He instead looks over at Bass and then smiles going sarcastic by habit, "Well, guess we've got us a stowaway here. What's up? Too tired of actually breathing so you're trying to commit suicide or something? Or did you just want to see if you could try and kill everyone here to get to Rock before figuring out that's also suicide?"
Twila Peterson surprisingly shoots a look at Feedback, "Feed, we're under a cease fire. No need to aggravate a tense situation."
Bass narrows his eyes, and tilts his glare ever so slightly in Feedback's direction. "Do not tempt me, Hunter..." he grates dangerously, clenching one fist. Though he leaves it at that, as he finally crosses his arms over his chest, keeping a constant vigil over his deactivated hound. "I have issues to discuss with Rock as of now anyway."
Feedback smirks and backs off a bit, "Well, alright. Wouldn't want him to scrap me before I briefed Rock and at least Light if not someone else. Well, looks like we've got us quite a gathering here. Some Hunters, a Maverick and now, our very own Robot Master. All we need now is for the Repliforce to send someone over and it'll be a real party."
Bass arches an eyebrow then, and whirls to actually face Feedback fully, while stabbing a finger in his direction. "-What- did you say? A Maverick?"
Twila Peterson sighs. Feedback's mouth is going to end him up killed one of these days. "Yeah...A Maverick." She then regards Treble again. "I know I'm going to regret this. But I could at least make certain his repair systems are up to par." Dang medic's sympathy.
Feedback smirks, "Hmm, lemme think. Yeah, I do think that I said Maverick. What about it? We've got us a half dead Sigma from what I hear."
Clearing her throat very loudly, Aria doesn't turn around and remains facing the front with her arms crossed stubbornly, "Yes. A very injured, nonfunctional Maverick who certainly couldn't hurt a flea right now, let alone the premier Robot Master in Wily's armor."
Bass stares at Feedback for a long moment, his eyes further
narrowing. Until finally...he begins to laugh, throwing his head
back. "Ha! So he -did- survive it then! Well now isn't
-this- just peachy keen? Perhaps I will see him just long enough
like that...for amusement factor of course..." he chuckles
again, and finally turns, to face Twila fully, frowning as she
mentions working on Treble himself. There's few things Bass is
actually sensitive on, but unless it's Wily himself...he dosen't
like others working on his robotic canine...let alone himself.
Still....
He narrows his eyes just slightly. "We'll see."
Feedback smirks as the passangers disembark. "Well, guess its nice that we're all so happy and everything. Well, guess I'd better go and take my snapshots of him like this before Rick actually manages to fix him up. Wouldn't want to forget something like this, so if you'll excuse me. I'll do that and set up a meeting with Rock, which is what I assume your here for."
Bass tilts his gaze back towards Feedback again. "That -is- what I am here for Hunter..." he returns coolly, before turning as the ship itself lands, and leaning down to scoop Treble up again in his arms, surpassingly gentle with the other form.
Twila Peterson doesn't make the offer to Bass a second time, figuring that if Treble's injuries do require something...he'll be able to reach her by radio in that unlikely event. She gets up somewhat shaken and starts for the door. "Feed, I'll be in medbay. Rick may need help."
Feedback nods, "Hey, Twila. Mind taking a few pictures of ol' Sigma for me so I don't have to end up slicing the security cams for them later? I'd save me some time, and I'll keep an eye on our friend here while we wait for Rock."
Twila Peterson pauses by the door and facepalms.
(Ch. B []) Twila Peterson transmits: 'By the way. Um...Bass is
at out base now too... *wince*'.
(Ch. B [GoodGuy-Central]) Michael Eildath transmits: 'WHAT?'.
(Ch. B []) Feedback transmits: 'Hey, if anyone's got Rock's
attention. Please direct him up to command center. We've got us a
visitor who's patience is probably running a bit low right now.'.
(Ch. B [Back-Up]) Aria transmits: 'He is here under a brief
banner of truce. We must all work together in order to battle
Kaiser Sigma. It's the only way. If he tries _anything_ , just
call. To attack us in our own base would be suicide, even for
Bass.'.
Feedback smiles, "Thanks, Twila. You wanna take my camera for it? Or is there one lying around in the medbay that you're going to use?"
Bass glances towards Twila at the same time. "While
you're at it...."
Bass actually steps forward then, glancing over to the side of
the Vorpal where there's a hoverplatform set up against the wall.
(hey...emergency supplies right?) He kicks it down into its
active position, and proceeds to set Treble down on it, actually
pausing long enough to touch the other's mane for a few seconds,
before straightening up. "See what you can do for
him...." he glares directly at the human, as if leaving no
doubts about what he'll do if he finds anything...done to his
companion.
Twila Peterson hmmms? and turns towards the android. "Yes?" Before being distracted by Feedback. "Uh...put one at my station in the bay. I'll find it." Then, Bass actually makes his request, she turns back towards him and dips her chin in compliance...fairly well knowing what Bass would do...regardless of whatever form he would proceed within it would be highly regrettable on her part. She then steps beside the hoverbed and starts guiding it out the craft. "I'll notifiy you of his progress..."
(Ch. B []) Twila Peterson transmits: 'And....Medbay is getting
another patient. Treble.'.
(Ch. B []) Rick Morgan transmits: '*drawls* Wonderful.'.
(Ch. B [GoodGuy-Central]) Michael Eildath transmits: 'Hell has
frozen over, hasn't it?'.
(Ch. B [Back-Up]) Aria transmits: 'I'll tell you once I get
there.'.
Bass watches as Twila moves off with his canine companion, and actually shifts his glare in Feedback's direction for a second. He remains silent for the longest time, before finally moving to push past him and down the ramp itself. "I will wait." He states evenly, coming out into the hangar bay, and actually turning to begin moving towards the large double doors, that lead out to the small balcony itself that oversees the city.
Waiting until pretty much almost everyone has left before she even moves, Aria finally unstraps herself and stands up, walking straight for the exit and ignoring anyone else who tries to get her attention in the meantime.
Feedback walks out of the Vorpal and goes off to take a nice spot over by the blast doors leaning against them while he does his best to stay awake. He grumbles and shakes his head for a bit before yawning. All the time he's watching their guest making sure that he's not tampering with anything figuring that he'll end up doing a sweep for bugs after this is over, "So, I don't suppose that you'd like a cup of coffee or anything else to drink while we're waiting, would ya?"
Bass turns and glares back towards Feedback once again, narrowing his eyes as he crosses his arms over his chest. "Make no mistake, Hunter...while we may be temporarily allied against this being...if I came here looking for a buddy, I would ask for one."
Feedback nods and smiles. "Your choice. And I agree, we're just temporary allies. Don't think that you're going to get any argument from anyone here bout that. So, is there anything that you'd like to talk about while we wait for Rock? Or are you just going to stand there being your quiet evil self?"
Bass narrows his eyes further again, as if having his patience sorely tested. Instead, he gives no answer, rather turning his back to Feedback and glaring out to the city skyline beyond....keeping his arms crossed over his chest.
Feedback just smirks and looks up at the stars kinda enjoying this. Besides, he can't just let Bass come here and not have a small chat with the guy. That'd just be wrong. So, maybe he can't or will never be able to take him in a straight fight, least he'll mess with the guys head first, "Well, guess we're just going to be getting along fine for the next few hours or so. So, whatcha lookin at? Nice night, isn't it? Guess Wily isn't all that crazy about the world ending either I'll take it, else you'd probably be back at Skull Fortress figuring out how to push that Kaiser out of your city, huh?"
Bass arches an eyebrow slowly. "The only reason I am here, is because I desire to know just WHAT the next move you Hunters plan to make is. That, and I also shall be meeting with General once again when the opportunity presents itself." He uncrosses his arms, and actually takes a few steps out of the hangar bay, now on the open rooftop area, as he glares outwards. "Kaiser Sigma WILL be repelled from this reality....of this I am certain. He will rue the day he ever strayed from hence he came..."
Feedback smirks, "Well, nice to know that some people haven't lost their confidence round here. So, what's it to you what we're going to do next? You guys actually ready to try and do something in the area of teamwork here? As for the General, I think that I could arrange it so that you could be meeting with him when Rock sets up this meeting for us to plan our next move. I'm sure that'd just make your day, eh?"
Bass arches an eyebrow. "Don't bother." He states offhandedly. "I've already been to see him, and I am certain I won't need you to see him again. I won't need your help in THAT respect Hunter. Believe me."
Feedback smirks, "Well, good to see that we came somewhat prepared. So, anything else that I should know? I wouldn't suppose that you'd be willing to share what you've guys found out about these new comers to our universe, would ya?"
Bass glares back once again, "Nothing more than what you already know now. Except perhaps for the fact that the Kaiser -isn't- invulnerable as he may begin to believe. But that's hardly news...." He then turns back to glare out to the skyline once more. "This conversation bores me...'
Feedback smirks, "Well, I'm sorry that I'm so boring then. I can't see how this can be any more interesting, lest you have anything that you might want to discuss. Heck, if we're not having this boring conversation, then the both of us are standing around like a bunch of fools just waiting for something to happen. So, unless you can suggest another topic or something else to do, we're just going to have to continue this, aren't we?"
Bass narrows his eyes. "Perhaps you should return to your base within before it quickly turns to the point where you CAN'T have a conversation. You understand me reploid?"
Twila Peterson ventures out into the hanger, gently guiding the medbed out back towards the open to where the Vorpal is sitting and waiting, still within her medical fatigues and vest mind you. She just...hasn't had the time to change out of them. Her features appear a little drained after all the activity she's gone through during the evening and night hours. With a silent glance she picks up the voices up ahead and silently groans. Yep, feedback is going to be killed for running at the mouth one of these days. Images of her time on Skull Island return vividly and, hopes she can get Treble up and functioning before Feed receives the same treatment some of Bass's own comrades had when they tended to act in like manner.
She waits before getting out into the open and in view if the Hunter and Master before having the sled set itself down. She then bends over the mech-animal and opens a panel underneath his main. She sets a 10 second delay on the canine's systems so she has time to take a few steps back from the dog as he awakens. After doing so she simply moves back, mentally counting.
Feedback smirks, "What do you mean by that? If you haven't noticed, I am back at my base. And besides, what's there to understand? I understand ya completely. But then again, I can't exactly leave ya here by yourself. I said that I'd watch ya, and that's what I'm going to do. Until I'm either relieved of duty by a commanding officer, or until Rock gets here. So, I guess your stuck with my until then."
Twila Peterson loudy coughs, covering her mouth with her hand. "Feedback," she manages, "trust me. Just...quiet."
Bass growls, and actually turns halfway, his hand beginning to
flex and clench into a fist, as if in preparation to become its
buster form. But it's then that he pauses as he sees the other
figure here, and actually manages to calm himself. His attention
turns then towards Treble and where he lies.
The seconds pass, until finally...with a whine of servos and
powering up systems, Treble finally moves, his optics flickering
open as he takes a deep 'breath'. A few more seconds, before he
finally sits up, now turning his head to the side, and noticing
Feedback right away. A low growl builds in his throat, as his
tail actually twitches upwards, as if preparing the Photon
Cannon.
But a hand on his mane stops him, as Bass sets it there and
glances down to his robotic companion, as if exchanging an
unspoken word between the two.
Reluctantly, Treble slowly lowers his tail once more, giving another quiet growl, as he stands up fully, and sits by Bass' side, casting a suspicious glance to the surroundings...
[OOC] Twila Peterson thinks...she better stay here to make
sure Bass doesn't *kill* Feed :)
[OOC] Feedback says, "It wouldn't be the first time
someone's tried to kill me for talking too much. :>"
[OOC] Bass says, "Ya came close Feedback. Real close.
:)"
[OOC] Twila Peterson says, "Yeah...but must be an unspoken
rule somewhere that you don't irritate a situation if possible
:)"
[OOC] Feedback says, "What? Well, thats a dumb rule. And
I've only broken it, oh, around twenty times at least by now.
;>"
[OOC] Twila Peterson palms :)
Feedback smirks and looks over at Treble, "Well, guess someone here remembers me. Guess it's nice to know that I'm not forgotten all that easily. So, how have you been lately? Tear apart any alleys lately?"
Twila Peterson glances down a bit before picking up her gaze.
Sure she's tired right now. But she's going to put a stop to any
sort of nonsense that happens up here if she can help it. She
folds her arms over her chest commenting, "I think it best I
stay her for a while to make sure the patient is recovering from
his ordeal." She then walks over towards Feedback and lowers
her voice. Bass may or may not be able to detect what's being
said...although he can probably pick up on the tone.
You whisper '*harshly* Feedback, you're better off leaving him
alone. He's fired on his fellow Masters for far less,' to
Feedback.
If Bass knows what Twila is saying, he gives no indication of it right now, as he actually lowers a hand to Treble's muzzle. Despite those present....the mechawolf tilts his head ever so slightly, and offers a small lick to his master's fingers, before finally returning to glare at the others once again. For all it's worth, the Dark Knight does a very good job of looking disinterested, as he re-folds his arms over his chest, and turns back to face out to the city skyline once more.
Feedback grins and just looks at Twila smiling, "So? Like I care who he's vaped and who he hasn't. Besides, what are you worried about? This is me."
Twila Peterson grunts. "Exactly what I'm worried about." With a sigh she points towards the hanger. "I'll stay with Bass. You go inside. You wanted to take some pictures of Sigma didn't you?" After all she does consider Feedback as a friend. And...she would rather he remain one...a LIVE one.
Bass offers no words to that. This isn't -his- conversation afterall, but deep down he would consider Twila's request of Feedback a....very wise course of action.
Feedback thinks it over and then sighs shaking his head, "I'm sorry, I can't do that. Sure, I'd like to get some pictures of ol' baldy, but there is no way that I'm leaving you here with him alone. If I did, I think that someone will be headhunting me for doing that."
"Allow me to reassure you Hunter..." Bass suddenly intones, glaring back towards Feedback. "-She- will be alot safer with me than YOU would be."
Twila Peterson keeps her arms folded. "Feedback, I appreciate your concern. Deeply. But keep in mind, Bass knows where he is and he knows the current situation requires that we all must somehow work together on this. However, if you stay, I'm certain you're going to annoy him to the point where he forgets all of that. A certain someone wants to head-hunt you for this? Fine. They can place my head on the block first. Now, please leave."
Feedback smiles. "Well, nice to know that someone cares bout me. But still, unless someone else gets up here to help keep an eye on our guest, there's not much that I can do. Unless he'd want to be given the same accommodations that I'm sure Rock gave to our half-alive bald friend in the medbay. Besides, we're getting along fine, and why in the world would he want to do something like scrap me? And I think that Rock might actually agree with me for once. So, there's really now way that I'm leaving here anytime soon."
*SNAP* There it goes, that's it. Bass can't take it anymore.
"ARGH!" he suddenly exclaims, turning back to face
Feedback fully, and already having raised his buster to the
figure. One of those few times when all he wants...is to be
left....ALONE.
His arm visibly shakes, as if he's fighting to come to grips with himself right now..... "IDIOT..." he finally growls, before turning and activating his dash jets, suddenly swooshing -out- the hangar bay door and beyond, before propelling himself in a powerful leap that carries him -across- the street outside, and to a building on the opposite side. There, he proceeds to crouch down, as if finally finding his solitude. Treble himself moves quickly after, leaping across after his master with a powerful flare of jets.
[OOC] Feedback says, "Wow, made him snap. :>"
Twila Peterson drops her arms to her sides and openly facepalms towards the reploid as Bass makes a hurried exit before being unable to prevent anything...unfortunate...from happening. "I think that pretty much proves you wrong, Feedback. Next time, when someone tells you to be *quiet* for goodness sakes DO IT! Do you realize how close he was to just...blasting you? I was on Skull Island for awhile and I would think I would know a little but about this from seeing some of these Masters close up."
Feedback nods slowly, "Well, guess he did look a bit mad at something. Well, least he's gone. Not like he's not going to be back...Well, guess you've got me there. I suppose that you would know these folk lot better than me. Seeing as you spent so much time with them. Ah well, live and learn. Guess I can go and check on those test results and maybe get some sleep. Right after I write up that report..."
Twila Peterson starts getting herself out of her fatigues . "Yeah...the report. Anyway...get rest while you can, Feed..." she mumbles before heading back towards the hanger. Her fatigues are placed within her...
Feedback nods slowly heading inside, "Well, not like he's going to be gone for long. Bet he'll end up back here in an hour or so. Either that or he's right there a building or so away just waiting for me to leave so he can come back here unnoticed or something. Well, see ya later Twila."
Twila Peterson pauses by the door and offers the reploid a slow nod. "Night, Feed."
<Not long after...>
Twila Peterson exits out of the front of the building, slipping on a jacket she obtained before coming back outdoors. She purposely moves towards the direction where she last saw Bass head, having a feeling Feedback would be most correct...that he wouldn't be far away. Besides...Treble may be repaired. But that doesn't mean he's well enough to travel far. She stops at the next building over and begins climbing the fire escape. Whenever she's finally able to get some rest...she has a feeling it's going to be a long one, provided it's not hampered. She finally reaches the top level after some time passes and pokes her head over the side to glance over the roof.
Bass is indeed on the rooftop where he landed, crouched over just enough as he glares out to the city skyline beyond, his eyes narrowed into slits of concentration, and thought. Treble stands alongside him, glaring out as well, though at the sound of the newcomer, he turns his head over his shoulder to glare back. His crimson optics seem to almost bore a hole through Twila with their intensity....though for once, he refrains from growling.
Twila Peterson climbs up the remaining portion of the ladder and onto the roof's surface. She takes a few steps from the edge to be safe and then stops, observing the two. If she keenly feels their glare, she doesn't allow it to show. To many things have happened that day already. "I apologize for Feedback."
Bass doesn't glance back at Twila's words, instead continuing to stare forward. "Your apology means little..." he states quietly. "His mouth is too big for his own good. If he continues as such, he's going to quickly find his life ended...."
"Like it almost was tonight," she notes, fully knowing just how close Feedback actually was. She holds in a sigh this time as her hands place themselves within her pockets. "I'll be sure that Rock gets your message that you want to speak to him as soon as possible." She observes the Master and his mech-animal for a few moments as if in thought regarding their plight. Not knowing what to say or add to either of them, and knowing Bass's desire to have privacy she starts moving back for the ladder.
Bass gives no word of answer to the human as she starts to
back away once more, instead centering his glare forward once
more. "Indeed." he intones finally, hooking his hands
over one another as he continues to crouch on the rooftop's edge,
lost in whatever thoughts it is that go through his mind.

Once again, a post made by Twila using Rick's authorization
codes:
Those of us who went to Robotropolis did what we could to aid
in the civilians' escape and bring them over to the mainland. The
injured were then taken to local hospitals for treatment.
Bass was among those who mad his way onto the Vorpal when we
departed. His companion Treble was in need of repairs so...I
administered them after we got back to base. But he wasn't only
thinking of Treble. He's asking for an audience with Rock as soon
as possible. He had been waiting outside the hanger until feeling
it fit for him to leave. But he remains nearby.
As a side note, *deep breath* keep in mind that we're all
supposed ot be working together for the moment. I don't have much
love for Masters or Mavericks as anyone else hear. But it doesn't
do any good to try and annoy and irritate an already potential
explosive situation between temporary allies either.
