Attempting to rescue Jacob Carter, SG-1 encounter a vengeful Apophis.
Better the devil you know than the one you don't, or so the saying goes. For those of you who don't speak metaphors: when faced with two bad choices, take the one you know the most about so you can avoid unnecessary future hitches.
At the end of the Season Two episode Serpent's Song, we all half-expected to see Apophis's return. Well, return he has....only with the right half of his face so badly burned and scarred that a metal plate replaces most of it. (Remind you of any traitorous MI6 agents appearing in the 1995 film GoldenEye?)
This is a worthy follow-up to the first half of this saga, and perhaps the only two-part saga with a plot twist worthy to warrant a two-part episode, rather than just straddling same-old same-old over two weeks. Definitely worth your while.
